JYJ Kim Junsu’s previously unreleased performance cuts for MBC TV drama “Scent of a Woman” has been revealed.

On 8 August, the SBS homepage released a large number of Kim Junsu’s performance cuts. Kim Junsu, who participated in the “Scent of a Woman” OST with “You are so Beautiful” also made an appearance as a character with the same name.

To shoot the scene in the drama for hallyu star Kim Junsu, a mini-concert was held. This was one of the items in Lee Yeon Jae’s list, to watch Kim Junsu in concert. He also had a 1-on-1 date with Lee Yeon Jae, where he displayed his charm.

During the concert, Kim Junsu performed “I can Soar” from JYJ’s worldwide album “The Beginning” as well as his Japanese single “Intoxication” and others, with approximately 500 fans turning up with placards and banners to support him, creating an atmosphere similar to a real concert.

Netizens have requested for the concert performance video to be released. They said, “Please broadcast the full version of Intoxication,” “Can’t you reveal the full performance?” “I want to go on a date with Junsu like Yeon Jae did,” “I definitely had to watch the broadcast because of Kim Junsu,” and other reactions.

Kim Jaejoong, who is currently playing the role of Cha Mu Won in SBS drama “Protect the Boss”, will have his composed song “I Will Protect You” as an OST to be aired on the 3rd episode on August 10th.

JYJ’s (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) original compositions, and Kim Jaejoong’s directing abilities that were both accepted during the world tour, Jaejoong will be singing a theme song in line with this romantic comedy and plans to capture the hearts of all women.

Kim Jaejoong is playing the role of Ji Sung’s cousin, as the prince of the business world, and he has been playing this role with stability. Playing this character, Kim Jaejoong combined the feelings of getting caught in the middle of a strange love triangle and composed a song titled “I Will Protect You”.

The drama production company stated their anticipation, “As JYJ being famous for being a vocal group, the recording was completed in good form with this sweet voice and his unique singing abilities. With the lyrics being written directly for the main character’s feelings, this song will be a great help for the drama in terms of conveying emotions.”

This time, the song Kim Jaejoong composed will be playing a big role in the romance of the main character starting from the 3rd episode. After the airing of the episode, “I Will Protect You” will be released on music websites at midnight.

Meanwhile, “Protect the Boss” cast includes Choi Kang Hee, Ji Sung, Kim Jaejoong, Wang Ji Hye, Park Yuong Kyu, Cha Hwa Yun, and Kim Chung.

Poseidon Casts Choi Siwon and Lee Shi Young

Never mind, I’m back on the “Poseidon” train. Er, boat?

I pretty much thought this show was a sinking ship (and, okay, it still could be), but now it’s gone and cast Choi Siwon (“Athena”) and Lee Shi Young (“Playful Kiss”), and now I can’t help but be suckered back in.

The show has been floundering for a while now, struggling to cast even after getting a second shot at airing and hopping from SBS to KBS. With just a month left till it airs, it’s finally secured its leads and will get right to work – not a moment to spare! – with script readings scheduled for the 2nd.

Choi Siwon and Lee Shi Young will both play members of the maritime police force, which I like; I was afraid she’d be mere arm candy as the love interest, but she’ll be the force’s sole female officer. I do wonder if this means the drama will take a different direction than its initial rival-frenemies storyline, which would have been played out by Eric and Kim Kang Woo in the first version of this show. Also, I don’t see mention of the counterterrorism unit in these new reports – in Round 1, the two leads were to be recruited out of the police force into a special unit. This doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but I wonder…

Lee Sung Jae (“Lawyers of Korea,” “Stranger than Heaven”), meanwhile, plays the police chief.

I’m glad that the show finally seems to be finding its footing, and am both happy about the casting and a little worried in case the drama should tank, since I like both Lee Shi Young and Choi Siwon and don’t want them to suffer. I think Lee is the better actor – she’s so spunky and awesome – but Siwon’s got tons of charisma, and I think this kind of role is the perfect type of vehicle to take him to the next level as a leading man. He did headline “Oh My Lady,” but I don’t really think that’s a big leg up in terms of his long-term career. (It’s cute and amusing, but forgettable even for fluff.) After playing with the big boys in “Athena,” though, he seems ready to move onwards and upwards, and we’re happy to let him.

Oh, I hope this show works out. I mean, it’s used up its quota of setbacks and obstacles, right? Things can only look up, right? (What do you mean, it doesn’t work like that?)

“Poseidon” is set to air in September, following “Myung-wol the Spy” on Mondays and Tuesdays.

DBSK Cuteness part 5

Okay ya’ll.

In this series, we’ve rambled on about Junsu’s impeccable cuteness skills.

We’ve discussed the adorable cheeseiness of Yoochun.

Bravely, we delved into the dark recesses of Changmin’s lair closet, and found that he can still be a sweety-pie-sugar-plum now and again.

And, most recently, we discovered that Jae is at his cutest when he’s just being his hyung/oppa bossy self. Go figure.

 

That’s a lot of cuteness. (wipes off sweat, gets out fan) But you all know what’s missing. Or, should I say, who. Ooooh yeah!!!! It’s about time for a certain, special leader-shii to smile sweetly and strike a pose!!!! (does happy, crazy dance!! Yippee!! Hurrah!!)

What if I don’t want to, eh? Have you considered my reputation? Silly dongsaeng….

(pouts cutely) But oppa!! Everyone else has done it!

 

 

 

 I don’t give in to peer pressure.  Neither should you. I know it’s hard, but you can resist if you try.

But, oppa, um….

Is anyone threatening you? Are you in trouble? Is someone forcing you to do something you don’t want to do?

Well, my mom makes me wash dishes, but I don’t think that really counts…

You just stick with oppa, okay? I’ll take care of you. Christina Hwaiting! (walks away)

 

(grumbles under breath) All I want is to post about how cute you are. Is that really so difficult to agree to?

What?! Shopping?! Why you….oh. (sudden thinks of evil genius plan) Oh yes. I think that would be alot of fun. Let’s go.

(stops outside a store after a while) Oppa, do you like these clothes?

 

Hmmmm….guess that’s a yes. (secretly takes picture with her phone) 

 

  How does oppa look? Manly?

 

You look so cute! Ahem. I mean, you look very handsome. Yes.
