Sugarland in Indianapolis

There is so much tragedy occurring in the world today. Probably no more than has occurred at any other time–it is just that the Internet has opened up the whole world’s affairs to the masses. This recent tragedy that killed five people and left many others critically injured is of importance because all stage productions, if not prepared properly, have the potential for disaster.

I think back to the weather circumstances last year that blew the cover off of JYJ’s venue. They had gone to so much trouble to place protection there for the fans and everyone was devastated by the turn of events, but the weather is one thing that we have no control over. Using discernment and wisdom is a tool that can be used to avoid disaster as the Tour Manager proved in the situation with Sugarland. They were praying and their prays were answered. That could have been a terrible tragedy and without any disrespect to those who lost loved ones, because our prayers go out to them, it could have been much worse.

Let us please continue to pray for the safety of not just JYJ or HoMin, but for all people who have to be on stages or performing in the open where they are subject to unpredictable weather.
