KBS has deemed songs by JYJ, HyunA, Yenny (HA:TFELT), and more as unfit for broadcast.

According to KBS on August 6, 14 songs failed to satisfy the broadcast network’s rules and regulations in terms of content. Among those were “Back Seat” from JYJ’s second album ‘Just Us’, “Blacklist” and “French Kiss” from HyunA’s ‘A Talk’, and HA:TFELT’s “Bond” from her solo debut album.

The reasons given for the songs being branded as unsuitable for broadcast include the sexually suggestive nature of “Back Seat” (specifically the line “Put you on my back seat”), the line “Do it” in HyunA’s “French Kiss”, the inappropriate language and curse words in “Blacklist”, and the expression “God damn” in Yenny’s “Bond”.

KBS also banned rock band Unchained’s “Paris” and “Talebearing” and Rose Garden’s “You’re Not My Style”, citing the lyrics as harmful to the mental development of juveniles.

  1. O.K. Folks, I have to agree with this call. I love our Guys, and it is a great album overall, however ‘Backseat’ is implicitly suggestive. There is a big audience of pre-teens in the fandom, and this particular song is definitely not for them. The lyrics are very intimate and while I realize that the Guys are growing older–they do not need to play this card to keep our attention.
