News: 110419 JYJ Shows Their Mighty ‘Hallyu Idol’ Power! Following Music, Now Promoting The Nation’s Economy

Male group JYJ is appointed as World-OKTA ambassador.

On last April 18th, JYJ attended an event held at Vista hall, Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul, namely ‘The 30th Anniversary of World-OKTA’ as the organization’s newly appointed ambassador, the members unfolded a performance stage to celebrate the event.

Participants in this event also included Knowledge Economy Minister Choi Joong-kyung, governors of each region, and about 1000 other attendees. In addition, an award of merit section was also conducted to appreciate those national business leaders in relevant overseas Korean organizations who have contributed to Korea’s economic and social development.

A World-OKTA official revealed the reason of their appointed ambassador as, “JYJ has been portraying image as leader of Hallyu wave as they demonstrate skill to reach the wide global culture (through their music), this image matches the goal of World-OKTA that is to create nation’s opportunity in world economy, thus we think they have the right to be appointed as our ambassador.”

JYJ said during the event at the venue, “We’re really pleased to be appointed as ambassador of World-OKTA in promoting South Korea’s contribution in world economy. JYJ and World-OKTA will continuously strive to promote the excellence of our nation’s culture in even more broader reach of the world.”
