Japan to air his latest drama and behind-the-scenes footage in August

JYJ member and actor Park Yoochun will be taking over the Japanese television screen in August. Greeting Japanese viewers with a stream of dramas that he starred in, Park Yoochun will be showcasing his prowess as a Hallyu star.

First, ‘Three Days’ will begin airing every Saturday on local Hallyu channel KNTV from the 9th of August. Japanese cable channel DATV will be airing behind-the-scenes footage from ‘I Miss You’ and ‘Rooftop Prince’ on the 15th and 22nd of August respectively under the theme ‘Falling for Park Yoochun in August’. Footage from ‘Rooftop Prince’ will be in the format of a filming diary, showing detailed moments from Park Yoochun’s acting career during the show. ‘I Miss You’ has already garnered the attention of many for its romance story during its airing in April, and was instrumental in the scheduling of Park Yoochun’s first solo fanmeet on the 9th of July in Yokohama. The event solidified Park Yoochun’s position as a popular actor in Japan.

Meanwhile, Park Yoochun’s current lineup includes his first movie ‘Sea Fog’, as well as JYJ’s ‘The Return of the King’ tour, which will begin at the Jamshil Sports Complex on the 9th of August.

Kim Junsu had sold out shows in Osaka.

On May 25th, a representative of C-JeS Entertainment said, “Kim Junsu’s ’2014 XIA The Best Ballad Spring Tour Concert in Japan’, which was held in Tokyo from June 13th until 15th, and in Osaka from May 22nd until 24th, were completely sold out.”

During the concerts, Kim Junsu performed a great number of musical numbers, ballads, and drama OSTs, and it is said that 66 thousand tickets for all of the six shows were completely sold out.

It is the first time for Kim Junsu to make a full concert just with musical and ballad numbers, and the concert was specially prepared for many Japanese fans who travelled all the way to Korea to attend Kim Junsu’s musicals.

Each show was held for 150 minutes long, and Kim Junsu sang numbers from major musicals that he casted in, including ‘Mozart’, ‘Elizabeth’, and ‘December’, and drama OSTs that he recorded.

He also included some Japanese ballad songs in his setlist, and also sang a number of songs that he sang when he was a member of TVXQ.

A Japanese official said, “All of the audiences were deeply impressed by Kim Junsu’s fabulous performance,” and told that people’s anticipation for his next musical is growing larger and larger.

Meanwhile, Kim Junsu is going to cast in a new musical called ‘Dracula’ from July.

[News] 140418 Movie version of Changmin’s starring drama ‘Mimi’ to be screened in theaters across Japan

It has been reported that TVXQ’s Changmin’s starring drama ‘Mimi’ will be screened in theaters across Japan!

According to Japanese media outlet Sankei Sports on the 18th, Mnet‘s four-part drama ‘Mimi’ will be edited into a movie version to be screened in thirty theaters across Japan starting next month. It’ll be split into two parts with the first part starting its run on May 9th and the latter part hitting theaters on May 16.

‘Mimi’ portrays the story of popular webtoon writer Minwoo, who is on the search to find the first love Mimi (Moon Ga Young) he lost when he was younger. Changmin portrays both the younger version of Minwoo who falls in love at the tender age of 18 and the older version who lost her. The drama aired from February 21 through March 14 in Korea, and now it’ll be making its way over to the viewers of Japan.

[News] 140212 SM The Ballad Releases “Breath” MVs Featuring Changmin and Moon Ga Young

SM Entertainment‘s ballad project called “SM The Ballad” has released the full music videoㄴ for title track, “Breath,“ of their second album of the same name.

The Korean version of “Breath” is performed by Girls‘ Generations‘  Taeyeon and SHINee‘s Jonghyun, while the Chinese version is by Zhang Li Yin and EXO‘s Chen,  and the Japanese version is by TVXQ‘s Changmin and f(x)‘s Krystal. The song is about the feelings of a man and woman right after a breakup.

The music videos for all versions feature scenes from Changmin and actress Moon Ga Young‘s upcoming drama, “Mimi.”

Another track from the album, “Set Me Free,” has also been made available for download today. “Set Me Free” is a solo by Taeyeon, and  tells the point of view from a woman after separation.

C-JeS Entertainment and AVEX‘s long legal battle has been resolved.

 

On the 16th, C-JeS Entertainment wrote on their official homepage, “C-JeS (JYJ) and AVEX has agreed to end all the legal battles we have had. C-JeS (JYJ) and AVEX will no longer meddle in each other’s affairs.

 

Last year in January, AVEX was told to stop asserting their sole management rights for JYJ in Japan, and were told to pay C-JeS Entertainment 660,000,000 JPY (about 6.5 million USD) in damages.

 

C-JeS said, “After our win last year, AVEX appealed the ruling. In the end, through the Tokyo High Court’s mediation, we were able to settle on an agreement.

C-JeS’ CEO Baek Chang Joo said, “We’re thankful that the Japanese judicial branch gave us the 1st ruling of securing JYJ’s Japanese promotions, and also for them for leading the 2nd agreement. With this, we have finished all fights related to the Japanese promotions. Now that AVEX and JYJ have agreed not to interfere in each others’ business, it means a lot in that JYJ’s Japanese promotions are officially confirmed as being secured legally. We are happy that JYJ’s long legal fight has all finished, and we hope to meet Japanese fans more often and closer through stages.

Each member’s individual cover for their ‘THE JYJ 3rd edition’ magazine have been revealed.

C-JeS Entertainment stated, “The covers for the third edition of THE JYJ magazine, which is set to be released in February, have been revealed. The upcoming magazine will feature a collaboration between each member of JYJ and a famous photographer, and will contain each member’s thoughts and feelings about their lives.”

They also added, “Each member’s magazine will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan, and we have opened up a second round of reservations for the magazine due to the flood of requests we received after the first round. Each magazine will be a photo spread of around 130 pages, and will feature collaborations with Cho Sun Hee, Mok Najung and Kim Young Jun.”

The revealed cover pages reflect each member’s unique personalities. Kim Jaejoong looks like a carefree musician wearing a loose-fitting knitted sweater, Park Yoochun looks like a wild man enjoying a day at the sea, while Kim Junsu looks like a dandy but striking model.

Kim Jaejoong’s magazine will feature photos that reflect his everyday life, while Park Yoochun’s will reflect his work as an actor, having been shot in Busan, the location of the star’s upcoming movie ‘Sea Fog’. Kim Junsu’s magazine will contain photos of the star using various props and outfits to create an amazing photo spread.

‘THE JYJ’ is JYJ’s signature interview magazine that has already gained a great deal of popularity for its first edition, which contained 25 hours-worth of interviews, and for its second edition, which focused on the theme of friendship.

TVXQ have become the first foreign artistes to perform at the Tokyo Dome for three consecutive year.

The group made this announcement during their fanclub event that was held on the 23rd of November at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The accomplishment is extremely meaningful to both TVXQ and their fans as this makes TVXQ the first foreign artistes to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome for three consecutive year.

During the fanmeet, TVXQ announced, “We will begin our Japanese tour in April next year, and perform at the Tokyo Dome on the 20th, 21st and 23rd of May,” and “We will hold a total of 26 concerts in eleven cities across Japan.”

The news of TVXQ’s upcoming nationwide tour was reported by various Japanese media outlets. C-JeS Entertainment stated, “Kim Jaejoong kicked off his Yokohama concerts yesterday and met with 30,000 fans. We’ve released a photo of Kim Jaejoong meticulously checking over his equipment and sound system during a rehearsal for his concert yesterday.”

They continued to state, “Kim Jaejoong’s concert was a great hit from the start. People began queuing for MD goods from the early morning, and despite the drizzling, cold weather, 30,000 fans gathered in the concert venue to send Kim Jaejoong their support.
