The first teaser video of ‘Only One’, the Incheon Asiad song sung by JYJ, the honorary ambassadors of the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games’, has been released.

The committee of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games released the teaser video of ‘Only One’, JYJ’s Incheon Asiad song, on the 3rd on the their official YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/Incheon2014).

Since being named the honorary ambassadors of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in February, JYJ have been actively participating in the creation of an Incheon Asiad song and music video that people all across Asia can enjoy together. The teaser that was released today hopes to convey the message to support and enjoy the moments of glory of the Incheon Asian Games with JYJ in a bright and fun atmosphere.

Kwon Kyung Sang, the head of the committee, stated, “The song ‘Only One’ refers to the fact that the people of Asia will overcome racial, linguistic and cultural barriers to become one for the tournament,” and “We created the song in the hopes that the Incheon Asian Games will help people respect each other’s differences and pave the future together.”

The full song and music video of ‘Only One’ will be released all across Asia on the 16th of September, exactly a year before the opening ceremony of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and JYJ plan to participate in promotional activities all across Asia afterwards.

Posts of protest are flooding social networking systems regarding JYJ’s exclusion from the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concert’, despite the fact that they are the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event.

One Twitter user sent a tweet to Song Young Gil, the mayor of Incheon, (@Bulloger) and said, “Are you aware of the fact that JYJ, the honorary ambassadors of the Incheon Asian Games, weren’t even invited to the upcoming commemorative concert?” and “Even though they had never been invited to the concert, the committee submitted a false report that JYJ declined their invitation.”

According to the argument made by this Twitter user, JYJ’s names were excluded from the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concert’, that will be held on the 1st of September, despite being the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event, and the decision was made by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting celebrities to perform at the concert jyjincheonasianganes

The current guest list for the concert features 20 teams including 2AM, miss A, Girls Day, B2ST, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, SISTAR, SECRET, KARA and T-ara.

JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated that they have filed a formal objection regarding the controversy and stated, “A misunderstanding arose when the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting singers to perform at the concert, notified the committee that JYJ declined their invitation. We set the record straight that we have never received an actual invitation to perform at the concert. We have been told that the committee will verify the truth of the situation by tomorrow (8th).”

Hearing about his controversy, Mayor Song stated, “I, too, hope for JYJ’s appearance at the concert but I was notified by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation that the line-up issue is being dealt with by MBC. I will make sure to check on the situation with the representatives of the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation and the committee of the Asian Games.”

Regarding the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemorative Hallyu Concert’ controversy, JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We’re waiting for the final statement of the committee.”

Since February, JYJ have been acting as the honorary ambassadors of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games’. However, when it was discovered that their names were not included in the guest list of the September 1st ‘commemorative concert’, a controversy arose on whether JYJ are being blocked from appearing on a broadcasted program yet again.

C-JeS stated, “Rather than coming to a hasty decision, we will wait for the final statement of the committee.” The representative stated, “We have submitted a formal objection regarding this issue. A misunderstanding arose when the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting singers to perform at the concert, notified the committee that, ‘JYJ declined their invitation’. We set the record straight that we have never received an actual invitation to perform at the concert. We have been told that the committee will verify the truth of the situation by tomorrow.”

They continued to add, “The committee is of the official stance that JYJ’s domestic and overseas promotions for next year’s sporting event will begin in September. We will await the committee’s final decision.”

[TRANS] 130513 JYJ Begin Recording Their Song For The 2014 Incheon Asian Games On The 12th

JYJ have officially kicked off their work as honorary ambassadors for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games as they began recording their song for the event on the 12th.

JYJ were chosen as the honorary ambassadors of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games on the 19th of February and announced that they would be working on an ‘Incheon’ song, dance and music video to create more hype for the event.

Recognized for their immense popularity all across Asia through their various solo concerts and fanmeets, JYJ visited 15 cities across the world, including cities in North and South America and Europe, during their 2011-2012 World Tour. Considering this, the group is expected to increase global recognition and interest in the 2014 Incheon Asian Games through their new song.

The group plans to finish filming the music video in June and release the song in Asia during the Summer. They will also be holding showcases in Hanoi, Vietnam and Guangzhou, China in October and November respectively.

JYJ have been selected as the honorary ambassadors for the ‘2014 Incheon Asian Games‘.

The Asian Games Committee stated, “In order to raise awareness for the Asian Games throughout all of Asia, we have selected JYJ to promote the games with us.”

JYJ completed their world tour in 2011 and 2012, touring 15 cities and performing for 210,000 fans. They’ve previously worked with UNAIDS in Asia as its regional goodwill ambassadors and promoted nuclear safety and awareness for the ‘2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit‘.

Kim Young Soo, the head of the organizing committee, stated, “JYJ’s international popularity will add to the success of the Asian Games.”

JYJ will be inaugurated as ambassadors on February 20th.
