Last year, Asia Bridge Contents filed a lawsuit against JYJ‘s agency C-JeS Entertainment demanding a refund of 1 billion won ($921,192) in production costs. However, on November 23rd, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of C-JeS Entertainment.
The company had signed an album production contract with a composer identified as ‘K‘ and paid the sum as an advance in April of 2010. ‘K’ had been under contract for the production of JYJ’s ‘The Beginning‘ album.
Last year, however, the company filed a lawsuit against C-JeS Entertainment demanding their refund of the advance.
The court has finally made their decision today and found that C-JeS Entertainment was not liable, reasoning, “This is a matter between Asia Bridge Contents and ‘K’, and does not involve C-JeS Entertainment in any way. C-JeS Entertainment is not obligated to refund the sum being demanded of them.”
