SM Town, currently a hot topic for its ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris’, will be releasing a photoshoot that was shot in Paris.

SM Entertainment singers will show off their great fashion sense as they team up with the fashion magazine ‘W Korea’ to showcase a photoshoot located in the city in which they performed.

According to Doosan Magazine on the 17th, fashion magazine ‘W Korea’ will be releasing a photoshoot of the 31 singers of SM Entertainment to commemorate their performance in Paris.

A representative of W Korea stated, “The photoshoot was taken after the concert, and though it took place in the early morning to avoid fans, we had to rush to finish the photoshoot because a large number of fans gathered on location.”

The photoshoot will show f(x) with a ‘Street&Shopping’ concept, SHINee with a ‘Boys night out’ concept, Super Junior with a ‘Surprise visit to their house’ concept, Girls’ Generation with a ‘Haute Couture’ concept and TVXQ with a ‘Qualifications of Men’ concept, complete with formal suits, knit-wear and shirts.

SM Entertainment’s singers, including Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, TVXQ, SHINee and f(x), will set ablaze the Hallyu craze in Europe.

The Visit Korea Year Committee has revealed that it will be promoting tourism in Korea to tie in with the ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris’ concerts that are to be held at Le Zenith de Paris this weekend.

The concert that will be performed by SM Entertainment’s singers has been renamed ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris to commemorate 2010-2012 Visit Korea Year (VISIT KOREA YEAR Presents SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS)’ and will be held across two days as requested by the European Hallyu fans.

The Visit Korea Year Committee will have a promotional stand at the concert venue to meet and greet the 14,000 fans who will be attending the two shows.

Before the concert starts, the Visit Korea Year Committee will be showing videos that promote future events to be held in Korea such as the Daegu 2011 IAAF World Championships, Jeju’s nomination as one of the New7Wonders, 2011 F1 Korea Grand Prix and the 2012 Yeosu World Expo.

Secretary General Hong Joomin of the Visit Korea Year Committee stated, “We have decided to promote the Visit Korea Year project with the concert in France in order to increase the interest in the Hallyu Wave and increase the rate of tourism in Korea as K-POP is very popular in Europe,” and “We will not limit the Hallyu Wave to Asia and will help spread it to other areas such as Europe and North America.”

The Visit Korea Year Committee recently began a ‘K-pop Cover Dance Contest’ that is catered to Hallyu fans as one of its activities.

News 110518 Second SM Entertainment Concert in Paris Sells Out in Minutes

Tickets for an extra concert for SM Town Live in Paris scheduled for June 11 sold out within minutes thanks to an explosive response by European K-pop fans, following the first show.

Booking for the June 11 show opened at 10 a.m. on Monday through online ticketing agencies such as Live Nation and Fnac. The sites temporarily crashed under heavy traffic, and the tickets were completely sold in just 10 minutes.

The second date was added after fans snapped up all the tickets for the June 10 concert in just 15 minutes when online booking opened on April 26. That caused some tickets to be traded on the black market, and some 300 K-pop fans demonstrated in front of the Louvre on May 1 demanding another date.

The concerts will be held at Le Zenith de Paris and feature several of SM’s top groups including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and f(x).

The company has held its Town Live concerts in Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Shanghai. They will return to the Tokyo Dome on Sept. 3 and 4 for some 100,000 fans.

110411 PhotoBlog – From United States to Paris in 2 minutes

HI Everyone,
Occasionally I like to feature news of things going on around the world. We know of Japan’s 6.1 aftershock tremor that shook on 110411. We keep praying for the Japanese people. It must feel insane to never know when the ground will become stable once again–and prayerfully, those who are a part of the nuclear program are busy working on solutions to the current and any future nuclear disasters.
How does this relate to JYJ and HoMin? We all live in an interacting world–and our guys are a part of it. Life happens, as evidenced by the Japanese earthquake/tsunami. Our mancubs have shown great interest in the lives of people in the world around them–we should also. Momma Cha

FEATURE STORY: From UNITED STATES to PARIS in 2 Minutes (with Northern Lights on the side)

Jonathan Woods writes: Photographer Nate Bolt got a bleary-eyed surprise when he checked the back of his camera while shooting a time lapse of his 11-hour flight from San Francisco to Paris.

What started off as a casual art project has garnered hundreds of thousands of astonished viewers – for something Bolt couldn’t even see with his own eyes.

“I was as surprised as anybody else,” he told msnbc.com.

The aurora borealis light up the night sky on a flight from San Francisco to Paris.

During the overnight flight, the half-asleep Bolt leaned over to check his camera and saw the aurora borealis lighting up the skies on its viewfinder screen.
Although he couldn’t see the northern lights with his naked eyes, which he attributes to light inside the cabin, Bolt kept shooting. Over the course of the flight, the camera took more than 2,400 images.

Photographer Nate Bolt tells TODAY.com’s Dara Brown how he clicked pictures for 11 hours during his flight from San Francisco to Paris and captured the Northern Lights.

Update (4/11/2011 8:27pm EST): Many of our readers have brought it to our attention that the window Bolt was shooting out of would be facing south, therefore alleging that photographing the phenomena wasn’t possible. After studying the likely flight path, we discovered that flights from San Francisco International to Charles de Gaulle follow a trajectory that typically dissects Thunder bay and clips the southern tip of Greenland, meaning that a moderate display could be visible.

149 comments, including:
“They didn’t fly east across the United States. The distance would be too great. Watching the photos you see the end up over a snowy/ice area so it’s obvious the plane was flying what pilots call the Great Circle. The plane flies to the northeast and over Canada and Greenland and then over England before landing in Paris”.
