In June, the OST “The Empty Space Left For You” that JYJ’s Park Yoochun sang for MBC ‘Miss Ripley’ has garnered attention and gained the no. 1 spot on all the music sites’ chart. Together with the song playing in the drama, it enjoyed great popularity.

Additionally in ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ where Park Yoochun received the Baeksang Arts’ New Actor award for, JYJ sang the OST “Found You” and received exceptional sales record, proving their popularity. Right now in SBS ‘Protect The Boss’, it was known that Kim Jaejoong who is acting as Cha Mu Won in the drama, will be participating in the drama OST and continuing JYJ’s OSTs streak of power.

The management representative of the drama production team has expressed that, “JYJ’s heartfelt way of singing, upon blending into the feelings of the drama, has enormously helped a lot. Especially when the actual singer appeared in the drama, that energy will positively influenced the whole drama. It is difficult to see JYJ in broadcasting music shows and it is very regretful to be unable to receive the direct reactions for the OST’s popularity on stage. But when the song was released, the every-time explosive reactions would helped the drama’s broadcasting and from the point of view as a producer, this is a lucky wild card.”

First of all, it would have been nice to hear “I Can Soar” in its entirety”. I sincerely love this song. “Intoxication” is not my bent and I have never said anything different. Junsu has many facets to his personality and sometimes he can surprise you, or at least me. 😉

The joy that I got from watching June’s cameo appearance in “Scent of A Woman” was that ability he has to laugh at himself. His rapport with the audience was fun to watch, especially because you know that this is in fact a reality for him. While on the dinner date–the inferences as to what made Lee Yoon Jae love him were facetiously, wittingly, but adorably said. Junsu could sense her pain and sang a love song to try to ease it if he could.

Kim Junsu is a brilliant actor because of his musical talent, energy, and improvisational ability. He thinks on his feet and ingenious words come out spontaneously. Combining his singing with acting is a natural talent. Junsu could sing the fly out of the old woman. “You Are So Beautiful” brings tears to my eyes.

Less anyone assume that I am saying that Junsu did not put his all into this appearance, oh contrare’. Kim Junsu is a sincere, hard worker at anything he does. He takes pride in his endeavors, and this was a refreshing addition to this deeply moving drama. My love goes out to you, sweetheart. I promise to watch this again.

Noooooooooo! Bad, bad news. There’s an update on Eom Ki-joon’s car accident, and it looks like his recent DUI does in fact put him in danger of being cut from his current SBS weekend drama Scent of a Woman, starring Kim Sun-ah and Lee Dong-wook. BUT! He’s my favorite character in that dramaaaaaaaaa!

I know, this is not about me. And I KNEW it was a possibility. But waaaaaaaaaaaah.

Eom was in a car accident on July 21st, where he rear-ended a taxi while driving under the influence. Thankfully no one was greatly injured, and now everyone is waiting with bated breath for the court to make a ruling on his case. He apparently was over the legal limit on the test at the scene, but the final word will come from the blood test, currently being analyzed. That’ll determine his culpability, and also his punishment.

SBS has issued a statement that no decision can be made until the court gives its ruling, so they wait, along with everyone else. So what does this mean for the drama? Basically they keep going for the upwards of two weeks until the verdict, after which Eom’s character will either get to continue being awesome crankypants Doctor Poopy-seok, or he gets written out and replaced by some other oncologist who did not poop his pants in grade school. Damnit.

Scent of A Woman

When I first started watching Scent of A Woman, it was with my usual attitude toward the beginning episodes of most Korean dramas. The first episode is usually designed to introduce the characters so the acting is over-the-top, but critical elements are present to introduce the main plot. By the second episode, Scent of A Woman was starting to display signs of underlying seriousness, after all, cancer is a devastating illness. There are also the undercurrents of sexual harassment of the women in the office and a company that has been abusing its employees for some time. The executive characterizations are typical–there is the spoiled heiress and the arranged marriage element also.

What has sparked my interest in this drama is the rawness of the actress Lee Yoon Jae’s portrayal of the main female character. Her style of acting here is real and believable, and she is presented as a normal woman living with her unfulfilled dreams. The emphasis on honorifics that exist in the Korean culture are addressed in her relationship with her former school friend become Doctor. Her manners are deplorable but realistic.

She deserves love, but in her anger against the cancer she strikes out at all around her, and she seeks love by deception. On Holiday, Lee Yoon Jae meets the company Director portrayed by Kang Ji Wook, and their relationship with all of its pathos is what this drama is all about.

I’m looking forward to Episode Five because I have not seen Junsu act, except in his musicals on stage, for some time. I am curious as to how much he has improved over those early films with DBSK. I believe that he will do a wonderful job. I am liking this drama more as it progresses–so if you looked at the first episode and concluded that it was trivial-think again and watch this poignant story of a woman fighting for life, love, and dignity.

Yesterday was such a happy and fun day, we think. We are truly thankful for the many people who participated in the event despite the difficult weather. Further, we are so thankful for your help to make the event proceed smoothly. (You are the true fans. Our fans seriously rock, rock!! >__< Well~ then the account begins~ ^.^

Due to the heavy rain of the past few days, the days were such that they made us nervous and more nervous as to whether the filming would be cancelled or whether it would be proceeded with smoothly, right? T.T
The 400 people who were with us from the morning in the middle of the rain that poured down. How can we relay the thankful heart…

It was a cameo but how was the look of Junsu who was acting seriously? Junsu who was acting was so very cool~ but Junsu on top of a stage was really shining ^.^
