[News] 110408 JYJ’s Japanese Charity Event Ticket Sold Out! Great Interest For The Concert After 1 Year‏

The charity event to be held by male group JYJ to support victims in Japan is met with a high public interest.

Tickets for charity event in Saitama Super Arena, Japan on coming June 7th to support the earthquake victims in North Kanto area were reportedly sold out at the same time for both 14:00 and 17:00 shows.

An official confirmed, “This will be their concert in Japan after one year, since June last year. Because JYJ hasn’t performed in Japan for quite a long time, thus the anticipation from fans seems to get even higher.”

Saitama Super Arena is a venue that is able to accommodate approximately 35,000 people.

Just recently JYJ said through their official site, “We want to give a little courage for all disaster victims in Japan,” as the goal of their charity event.

According to the official, fee and proceeds generated from the concert will be donated to the earthquake victims.

[News] 110407 SM, YG, JYP And More Form One Massive Global Agency, “United Asia Management”

The biggest entertainment companies in Korea have joined together to create one massive management agency known as “United Asia Management.”

All of the artists under SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, KeyEast, Star J Entertainment and AMENT will now be managed under the company in their endeavors including movies, dramas and all other entertainment content production.

The six companies came together to share their business know-how and network so that they can advance the Hallyu wave into an Asian Pop Music wave all around the world.

It’s still unclear as to whether the artists will be both under UAM along with their respective companies.

What is clear is that this is essentially a monopoly that could crush smaller companies and their artists…

From Momma Cha

It seems as if SM and Co. have once again undererestimated the intelligence of the K-Pop fanbase.
First-of-all, the Hallyu Wave is of interest to me personally because I support JYJ, HoMin, SuJu, and Shinee. I have no interest in any other groups and while I can say that at present I would support those SM artists of my own choosing–if it came to supporting them as part of a giant machine aimed at complete world domination through the entertainment industry, I would have to say that i would have to back out of the system. I love K-Pop, but it is not the only musical genre worth listening to out there nor should these artists be used to keep money constantly flowing into these moguls hands, and receiving very little for themselves.

It is not a foregone conclusion that we little sheep would all go Baaaa…and allow our hard-earned cash to be sucked into the vacuum of what appears to be an Asian mafia base. At present I am going to keep my eyes and ears open and support only who I choose to support and, let’s face it, concentrate my energies and resources predominately on JYJ and HoMin. Prsyerfully, HoMin can continue to benefit. We all know that this is just one more ploy to control everyone and their money. Shame on you all, SM and Co.

It seems as if Japan isn’t going to…

It seems as if Japan isn’t going to be stable for a while. It is an island situated on a fault line and after the first initial earthquake and tsunami there have been numerous aftershocks that measure high on the Richter scale. Today’s 7.1 quake triggered another tsunami scare which proved to be unfounded but certainly understandable and possible.

We must keep praying for and supporting Japan. They are a people in danger of losing the very fabric of life that they depend upon. There a numerous charitable events and organizations to donate through to help in the restoration process both on and off the web.

This is not going to be a quick fix, but it is going to be a long-term committment on the part of all those pledging to help Japan to recover.

Translation:

If you feel it’s a burden that all my senses are focused only on you,
I will leave now
If I made you suffer ’cause I couldn’t control my feelings,
I will go now
I was afraid that like a “hooc”, you might fly away from my side.
Not a day could I rest saying “hugh…”
I didn’t know then that I was hurting you with my foolish obsession

Just know this before you go
That I was the only man who loved you only
So stupid was I,
an idiot, a scumbag who couldn’t even protect you
If you stay beside me ’till the end,
You’ll be more heartbroken, you might fall.
Made a very good choice…
A person who will set you free,
will come to you, will come to you

I won’t make any more of small excuses
So make that kind of look on your face no more…
(So sad…)
With my mouth shut, I only wanted to wish your happiness
I wasn’t that, no no no…
In the cold wind, with “hoo”, I warmed up your cold hands.
“Pooc” (deep) in my arms, after a year, we had our first kiss
I gave myself to you, I always do

Just know this before you go
That I was the only man who loved you only
So stupid was I,
an idiot, a scumbag who couldn’t even protect you
If you stay beside me ’till the end,
You’ll be more heartbroken, you might fall.
Made a very good choice…
A person who will set you free,
will come to you, will come to you

Thank you for giving me happy memories
You go on and don’t remember, forget everything
Don’t look at me with worried eyes, I’m OK

Someday all my heart’s wounds will be cured
Someday I will meet a nice person…
Forget! Yeah, forget everything and hurry up and go!
Before I change my mind and hold onto you

Out of habit, I might call you without knowing
Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?
Missing you crazy, if I’m at your door,
be cold…

Just know this before you go
That I was the only man who loved you only
So stupid was I,
an idiot, a scumbag who couldn’t even protect you
If you stay beside me ’till the end,
You’ll be more heartbroken, you might fall.
Made a very good choice…
A person who will set you free,
will come to you, will come to you.

Editors Note My Perspective on the FanWars I…

Editors Note: My Perspective on the FanWars

I have been reading articles that attempt to explain the fanwars that have been raging for some time between Cassies over DBSK, now JYJ and HoMin. Black and white lines drawn down the middle of this enormous, emotional debacle that really do not define the true nature of the wars or the source. Human beings being held up as standards–immoveable, immutable standards

Why are there idols? Idols exist because we make them, not necessarily because they choose to be made. These are people who go to sleep at night; rise up and go about their day just like the rest of us. They get thirsty; they get hungry; they have spiritual, emotional and physical needs–just like the rest of us. Somehow, these needs get overlooked and we turn them into a production machine, designed to make us feel good and fulfilled. What about them?

Everyone is looking for someone to fufill those inner longings that are a part of each of us. We usually tend to choose those who represent who we would like to be–famous people; talented people; people of influence. Their sacrifice to complete our desires is enormous–hours and hours of work geared to pleasing us–sometimes pleasing them.

In the case of DBSK we have a much deeper situation than normal. The Internet has allowed many to view Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu, and Changmin on stage and off stage. Candid shots and canned shots of the members laughing, singing, working, playing, vacationing… All designed to endear them to us, and so well-designed that it works. The objective of SM and others like them has been to sell the artists much like livestock in order to reap a profit. In return, we receive great music, artists to love, and somehow in the midst of it all–they love us. Theoretically, it works. In reality it is abusive.

So how does this relate to fan wars? When you have placed people on pedestals, and have not allowed them room to waver, or fail–you have created a situation that will eventually explode because there is no such person or personages. No one is capable of being on top indefinitely, nor of pleasing everybody all of the time. DBSK simply grew up. The babies that we all fell in love with became young men with their own identities, desires, and aspirations. By their very nature they are all competitive–both on stage and off. Ideally we want to see them smiling at each other constantly–in reality I am sure that tempers and tears flow abundantly.

Even being blessed with nuturing leaders such as Yunho and Jaejoong–it was inevitable for the tower to fall. Outside forces and inside forces drove the nails from the supports, and what was left was disappointment and disillusionment on all sides, including the fandom.

To keep ourselves healthy and stable–we cling to the hope that all will be healed. It is possible. Pray without ceasing. However, at present, with all of the discord among the fandom, it makes that goal even harder to reach. Misplaced emotions are being directed at each other–not at the system that fostered the illusion.

Or is it illusion? I don’t believe that it is. I believe that these young men never planned to deceive us or to disappoint us. The company did–not them. I believe that we also did some of that to ourselves, so I guess it is natural to now turn and rend our fan brothers and sisters? That is happening–but it doesn’t make it right.

So–where do we go from here? We have choices. We can love or hate; support or neglect each other or JYJCY. Our mancubs still need our love, more now than ever. They need to be seen and emoted to as fallible human beings. They also need our stability because this war has just begun. The enemy is still outside the camp. Are they happy that everyone is taking sides except for those of us who refuse to see things purely as black and white? I guarantee you they are not happy with this turn of events. Either we make the committment to love each other as much as we love our guys–or we fold up our campstools and exit the arena. All of them deserve our love; all are human as we are; and all of us can accomplish great things together if we but try. Momma Cha

News: JYJ in Bangkok–700 Reporters Compete To Cover Bangkok Concerts

[NEWS] #JYJ in Bangkok – About 700 reporters from Thailand and all over Asia such as Japan, Singapore, Philippines, China, and Hong Kong competed vigorously to cover the event!

Group JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) turned it loose their first World Tour in the midst of the enthusiasms of their fans of Asia.

They showed off their “ticket power” by drawing 22,000 Asian fans (total 2 times) in the ‘JYJ World Tour Concert 2011’ which was held in Impact Arena of Bangkok, Thailand, on the 2nd and 3rd. The fans who gathered from all over Asia including not merely Thailand but also Korea, Hong Kong and Japan, sang, danced, and cried together with JYJ and enthusiastically responded to (JYJ) as if they had become one with JYJ.

On the 3rd which was the second day of the Tour, the concert hall which was packed/squeezed without remaining seats from the 1st floor “standing” seats to the 3rd floor seats, rippled with the wave of red lightsticks. When the venue’s lights went off and JYJ appeared, the seats became swept up in the roar of the Asian female fans—“Kyaa!”

The three members, who bounded onto the stage with a lift, opened their first stage with ‘Empty.’ After that, they continued with ‘I.D.S.’ and “Pierrot’ and others. When Kim Junsu said hello in Thai, “Sawadi-Kab~” the audience burst into cheering. Yoochun relayed his gladness (at seeing the fans) with the words “you’ve waited so long~.” Kim Jaejoong reduced the distance between himself and the fans by singing for them the Elephant Song which he composed in Thai (T/N: The reporter is wrong here; Jaejoong did not compose the Elephant Song^^). This is Jaejoong’s keeping the promise he made in the Thailand Showcase which was held last year after the release of the World Wide Album, that he “would make a song in Thai.” (T/N: The promise was to sing the Elephant Song in Thai, not to create a song in Thai.)

When the members sang upbeat dance song ‘Be My Girl,’ the atmosphere shot up towards its peak. The audience all stood up and danced together with JYJ and the stage and the audience became one.

After this, the stages of ‘Ayyy Girl’ and ‘Mission’ in which one could enjoy the powerful dance and music followed, and the atmosphere of the concert reached its peak. When ‘Found You,’ the theme song of ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ which is a drama in which Park Yoochun starred as the lead, the audience all stood up and waved their arms and merged with the music. With the heart-tugging ballad(s) composed by Junsu “Fallen Leaves” and ‘Boy’s Letter’, the planned concert finished. (T/N: The sentence is structured so that it is ambiguous whether ‘Boy’s Letter is also composed by Junsu). When the audience did not leave their seats but instead chanted the name ‘JYJ,’ the members again rose to the stage and sang ‘Get Out’ and ‘In Heaven,’ which were new songs, and decorated the great finale of the concert which ran about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

This concert which was held in Thailand for two days is significant, not only because it is the beginning of JYJ’s first World Tour, but also because it showed their musical abilities which had much grown. Kim Jaejoong took charge the entirety of the directing of the concert and most satisfactorily displayed his side as an artist. He not only (took care of) the stage directing, video, and sound, but also costumes and sensitively fine-tuned the entirety of the concert to show off a stage in which the individuality unique to JYJ was alive. He even showed that he was passionate enough to stay in Thailand from two weeks prior to the concert in order to spread open a perfect stage. Furthermore, by filling more than 80% of the repertoire with self-made songs, he without a doubt carved into the minds of the audience the fact that JYJ is a ‘singer-songwriter group.’

Fans paid attention to the fact that it was a stage in which JYJ’s musical abilities could be seen. The Korean fan Ms. Jin XX, who watched both days’ performances, said: “Junsu’s self-composed song was very good. I liked that I could feel the musical growth of the members from the stage.” Ms. Su Pumnya, who resides in Bangkok, Thailand, evaluated: “I was even more drawn by the fact that JYJ is a singer-songwriter group. It was especially meaningful because I could hear many of their self-made songs.”

For this concert, about 300 reporters from Thailand and about 400 reporters from all over Asia such as Japan, Singapore, Philippines, China, and Hong Kong, and competed vigorously to cover the event.

JYJ World Tour Concert, after its stop in Taiwan on the 23rd and in Beijing, China on the 7th of May, will tour the North American e.g., the U.S. and Canada and will decorate its finale in Pusan on June 11-12.

Press Release: Eng Translation DreamCatcher Indonesia: Official Announcement on JYJ Concert Cancellation

TRANS:
Responding to the statement published by C-JES Entertainment on their website on March 28th 2011 regarding the cancellation of JYJ Concert in Indonesia originally will be held in Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) on April 9th 2011, wuth a heavy heart, we the promoter announce that JYJ Concert in Indonesia is being cancelled based on the decision stated by C-JES Entertainment through their website.

In fact, we as the promoter have tried to give the best during the preparation time approximately 1 month. We have worked hard to fulfill everything needed in this concert, one of them is giving the ebst and exclusive venue. On last days towards the concert execution, C-JES Entertainment decided to cancelled the concert we have had planned.

This related to their request in production which cannot be fulfilled in Indonesia. our production team had also confirm about that. The extra fees requested in a sudden by C-JES Entertainment was very high and indeed those requests was not listed in the signed agreement. Therefore, we as the promoter have the rights to decline the request.

Other than production matters, basically the concert can be established well and with generosity, C-JES Entertainment could negotiate well and does not force an unreasonable request.

We, with humility, apologize to all JYJ fans in Indonesia who have had long awaits for this concert, that until now, because the agreement about production never happen well and considering the limited time, then we have choose to follow C-JES Entertainment’s decision who have had previously announced the cancellation of JYJ Indonesia Concert in their website.

To all ticket buyers who had settled the payment, the money will be fully returned. The ticket refund’s procedures will be further announced on Thursday March 31st 2011.

Translation: DNBN Official Announcement: Rebuttal on the False Rumors and Arguments Regarding the Cancellation of JYJ’s Indonesia Concert

The below is the translation of the official announcement that DNBN made regarding the situation in Indonesia.
JYJ3 echoes DNBN in expressing our sincere sadness at the pains that the Indonesian fans have suffered due to the actions of its concert promoter.

Rebuttal on the False Rumors and Arguments Regarding the Cancellation of JYJ’s Indonesia Concert

Hello. This is DNBN.

Rumors with low credibility regarding JYJ’s World Tour Indonesia Concert’s cancellation.

We have come to draft this rebuttal in order to give you credible information after confirming the truths and reliability of the (below) materials regarding the cancellation of the concert.

Yesterday C-JeS announced that JYJ’s concert in Indonesia was officially cancelled. Fans of Indonesia, we cannot imagine how distraught you are. We express our sincerest condolences.

Unfortunately, right now, false rumors that blame a particular member for the cancellation is spreading in the international fandom. Because this rumor is being spread unilaterally by one side, we want to provide the other side so that you have more complete information.

This writing is not to argue that the cancellation is the fault of one side or to criticize the other.

Only, we wish that through this writing there will be no one who will believe that the rumors that are currently spreading are the truths.

—————————————————–

Dream Catcher Indonesia (hereafter DCI) is the “official promoter” of JYJ Concert in Indonesia. DCI has never successfully hosted an event (previously it had worked with CN Blue and FT Island but ended up cancelling). The owner of DCI is a person named A.W. Ardiati. In press releases and other materials, it is shown that a person named Tita Ardiati is DCI’s President (see here). Tita Ardiati is also an administrator of the Indonesian TVXQ (not JYJ—they are “OT5”, i.e., supports only TVXQ5) Fanclub “Cassination.” In Indonesia, an “official fan club” is typically chosen to facilitate ticket sales. Unsurprisingly, Cassination was selected as the “official fan club.” However, DCI has long shown signs of instability—for instance, its CEO resigned last Friday.

Many of DCI’s actions regarding the concert preparation cannot be excused.

(1) DCI FAILED TO ADEQUATELY PRMOTE JYJ IN INDONESIA.

(a) It did absolutely zero promotion via TV or billboards, which are the traditional methods of promotion for concerts in Indonesia in which a substantial portion of the population does not have access to the internet.

(b) Even print promotions through the newspapers and magazines were extremely sparse (Short informational feature in the magazine IndoWorld and newspaper Pandeira were largely the entirety of this).

(c) In fact, even as late as March 22nd, DCI admits on its Twitter that it has not started its promotional activities. (See here)

(2) DCI HAS LIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO MULTIPLE PARTIES ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS IN ITS HANDLING OF THE CONCERT.

(a) THE CONCERT TICKETS.

  • DCI sold the concert tickets in three different ways up to the day before the cancellation without having first obtained the consent and authorization from C-JeS. (See here)
  • DCI has misrepresented to the press and the public about the tickets selling out when they have not, multiple times, causing serious confusion to and hindering fans and potential buyers. In fact, there was much anxiety in the Indonesian fandom about just how well the tickets were selling because there was no accurate information.

(b) THE CAUSE OF THE CONCERT’S CANCELLATION

a. JAEJOONG: TITA ARDIATI, THE PRESIDENT OF DCI AND THE ADMIN OF CASSINATION, AND MANY OF HER CLOSE ASSOCIATES PUBLICLY SLANDERED JYJ MEMBER JAEJOONG WITH FALSE ALLEGATIONS. (For some examples out of many, see Tita Ardiati’s twitter at here)

  • Any allegations that Jaejoong personally has anything to do with Indonesia’s cancellation are obvious lies. In fact, Jaejoong has never even set foot in Indonesia.
  • The nature of the allegations was extremely defamatory towards Jaejoong and calculated to inflame the public opinion of Indonesian fans against Jaejoong.
  • Nonetheless, because these false allegations were made by such powerful figures in the Indonesian JYJ fandom, they are spreading like wildfire and are seriously hurting Jaejoong’s reputation in Indonesia and causing much anguish to his fans.

b. PRESS RELEASE: DCI AND ITS PRESIDENT TITA ARDIATI RELEASED AN OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE THAT STATED THAT THE CONCERT WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE C-JES MADE ADDITIONAL HIGH-COST REQUESTS (see Press Release at here).

  • Tita Ardiati and her associates lost all credibility when they slandered and spread harmful rumors that hurt Jaejoong, who has nothing to do with the cancellation. All of their statements, therefore, warrant close scrutiny and suspicion as to their truth.
  • The press release is misleading and false in other ways. For instance, it states that DCI “worked hard to fulfill all that is needed for this concert” when, by their own admission, there were seriously inadequate promotions and many lies to the press and the fans about ticket sales.
  • The press release is also contrary to the announcement made by C-JeS which said that DCI’s repeated failure to abide by contract terms and its inability to smoothly carry out the concert are what led to the cancellation.

(3) DCI’S DESIGNATED OFFICIAL FANCLUB CASSINATION WAS AN INAPPRORPIATE CHOICE FOR A JYJ-CONCERT. IT IS “OT5,” I.E., SUPPORTS ONLY TVXQ5, AND HAS SOLICITED FOR AND PLANNED FOR “YUNJAE” EVENTS FOR THE JYJ CONCERT.

(a) Through their Tweeter and Forum, Cassination has repeatedly and explicitly condoned and encouraged fans to do activities that are disrespectful to a JYJ Concert, such as shouting names of people who are not part of JYJ. In fact, there is evidence that Cassination was making a Yunjae Banner to bring to the JYJ Concert and had plans to stage a high-profile Yunjae event. (See here)

(b) This shows a serious disregard for the respect owed to Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu as people and artists.

We believe that C-JeS gravely erred in not monitoring Indonesia closely earlier. It is our sincerest hope that C-JeS will pull its weight on organizing these tours which are momentous occasions for fans. Nonetheless, the above events cannot be excused. Again, we express our sorrow at the events that took place in Indonesia—we believe that DCI wronged not just JYJ but also their fans in Indonesia.

Once again, we wish to express how saddened we are for fans who endured great suffering due to DCI’s above actions.

Thank you.

Perhaps you’ll be helping me stand up from up there…
To a selfish fool like me, you said “thank you” and “I love you”, making me feel like crying…

I have tears flowing that you say thank you and I love you to a selfish fool like me

Now I’ll be your sky so you can shine brightly.

Will you love me forever.
I can’t hear anything as if I’m left alone
I can’t live without you
You’re the only light to me

Here I am who only knows nothing but you
I was a coward, couldn’t say I love you

I don’t know when you laugh or cry
I have tears flowing because you said I’m waiting for you I love you.
I’ll be your sky now.
I won’t shed tears anymore.

Will you love me forever.
I can’t hear anything as if I’m left alone
I can’t live without you
You’re the only light to me

When the sound of the sky and light faces each other
I’ll send you this letter

Will you stay here with me
Trusting each other’s warmth in a coldness like sky
Being a hot sun, you being a song of a sky

So you don’t get tired when you call back your memories with your eyes closed

I thank you so much for loving and protecting me
I’ll be your sky now

(Junsu’s adlib) Now~~ (adlib again)
So I can make your heart beat~
Will you love me forever
I’m alone on a lonely road

Trusting each other’s warmth, being a hot sun
So you don’t get tired when you call back your memories with your eyes closed

I thank you so much for loving and protecting me
I’ll be your sky now
