Momma Cha’s Take on Unboxing Kim Jaejoong: WWW (Repackage Album)

First of all, a brief visual of the actual album presentation. Extremely designed packaging!   🙂 <3

WWW: Remake: Removing One’s Makeup

I don’t usually comment on the physical presentation of our Guys albums. They are always equally beautiful. However, Jaejoong’s WWW Remake album came in so uniquely packaged that I feel compelled to express my reaction to it.

I received my copy yesterday. I had waited some time for it to come in. Waiting makes for more anticipation, right? The package was oversized! I remember thinking, “Gracious, why is this package so huge?

After removing the bubble wrap, I placed the album on the table while I looked at each element of its presentation. There were several things that caught my attention. I noted the shape. It was reminiscent of the speakers on stage viewed from above.[Note: check out the first picture in the booklet]  It also had a coffin feel. Mostly, it looked like a gift box, especially considering the lid of gold and black. A rich presentation. The gold band encircling the box referenced the first WWW: Who When Why.

I removed the lid and gently put it aside. The photo/lyrics booklet was on top. It was a tight fit that bent the corners just a wee bit. No bigee. The pictures and info were worth the wait, Encased in the main body of the package were the CD and DVD. They were almost anti-climatic after the excitement of the presentation. Yet, don’t get me wrong. This album would be beautiful sent in a plain cardboard box. The booty is the tracklist. Outstanding work, Jaejoong!

I felt as if I was receiving a marvelous gift, this repackaged WWW. I especially like ‘Heaven’, Keshou’, Butterfly…  To be honest, I like all of the songs. Jaejoong has such a beautiful, expressive voice–he owns this album on many levels. I’m just happy that he took advantage of the opportunity to share these songs and pictures with us. What’s next? If this album is any indicator–the sky is the limit!
I look forward to Jaejoong’s next album.

PRLog (Press Release) – Feb. 7, 2014 – SEOUL, South Korea — SEOUL | February 7 2014 – South Korean design agency, Art & Design International (ADI) has recently closed of one of their biggest projects yet. This project included a complete branding job for South Korean singer Kim Jae Joong’s recently opened coffee house, Cafe J Holic in Seoul. Jae Joong is best known as a member of the K-pop group JYJ.

Amongst other companies, ADI was selected by Jae Joong himself since the K-pop singer was looking for a Korean design agency that would be able to take on this very important and big project. The South Korean design agency was responsible for the whole branding process of Cafe J Holic, which consists of a large range of stylish merchandise. With the help of Art & Design International, Cafe J Holic turned into a unique coffee shop in its own kind where people do not only come to enjoy a cup of coffee but also come to shop the products of their favorite Korean star.

The South Korean company has designed over 60 merchandise products, all with a distinctive design that fits the coffee shop’s corporate identity. The products range from coffee mugs to tote bags and pillows, from which some are only available in limited edition. For his fans ADI has designed a special journal where Jae Joong shares some personal information about himself, like his favorite day of the year. “This project was a good opportunity for us to learn about the K-pop culture and get an inside look on the relationship between celebrities and their fans”, says CEO Hellen Choo, who says to become more aware of the power of Korean pop culture throughout South-East Asia after this project.

This is one of ADI’s biggest projects and one of the most exciting so far. ADI is confident that this project will help put the agency on the market nationally as well as internationally. There’s no doubt that ADI has a great future ahead of them.

[Vid} [ENGSUB] 131111 JYJ’s Interview for NII 2013 Winter

Jaejoong and Yoochun were slightly gentler to Junsu this time around 🙂  After all, this was a promotional video for the Christmas season, right? However, that fact doesn’t usually stops the antics. I truly agree that NII has beautiful styles and colors, and I’m glad that JYJ are happy with them.

[TRANS] 131111 ‘Moldir’, The Brand Designed By Kim Jaejoong, Opens A Store At The Lotte Duty Free Shopping Centre

jaemoldirdesignslottedutyfree‘Moldir’, which became a hot topic for having products designed by Hallyu star Kim Jaejoong, has already sold 30,000 products in four months and is now confirmed to open a store at the Lotte Duty Free Shopping Centre.

Loved by many trendsetting celebrities, Moldir is a Korean brand that makes handmade leather bags and has become a hot topic for featuring designs by JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong.

A representative of Moldir Korea announced, “Moldir will begin selling its products at the Lotte Duty Free Shopping Centre from today. The confirmation has come after a strict evaluation of the brand’s high quality and sophisticated design, and the brand will now stand toe to toe with foreign designer brands.”

The representative continued to state, “We believe our entry into Lotte Duty Free was possible because word-of-mouth spread that Kim Jaejoong, a well-known trendsetter, was contributing designs to the brand, and because consumers keep coming back to our brand for our high-quality products. We would like people to know just how great Korean products are, and that they are just as good as foreigner designer brands.”

It’s rare for such a small-scale domestic brand to enter a duty-free shopping centre, and the move has drawn the attention of the industry. To commemorate their entry into Lotte Duty Free, Moldir will be participating in active marketing strategies, which includes giving out free key rings to all consumers till they run out.
