JYJâs Kim Jae Joong is set to release a repackaged version of his first solo album.
C-JES Entertainment said, âKim Jae Joong will be releasing his repackaged album on January 20th, after making a successful transformation as a rock singer through his first solo album. His repackaged album will include a new song as well as a remake of the Japanese song âMakeupâ which earned much popularity when he performed it during his Asia tour.â
The repackaged album theme is set as âmake-up removalâ as C-JES revealed, âThe two new songs are meant to convey the painful feelings that one has when he/she wants to forget their loved one. We got the inspiration from âMakeupâ and decided to name it as âmake-up removalâ. From the songs, fans can listen to the various styles of conflicting emotions that Jae Joongâs voice will bring out.â
The album will also include unreleased footage from the music video of âJust Another Girlâ as well as footage of the music video production shoots
C-JES said, âJae Joong has already completed the recording of the new songs for the album. The new songs are pop ballads thatâs really suitable for the winter season, and the lyrics were penned by Jae Joong himself. âMakeupâ is a remake of a Japanese song of the same name, with Jae Joong writing the new lyrics. Jae Joongâs sensual vocals and manner of singing it, will definitely be a surprise to fans when they listen to it.â
Jae Joong has thus far enjoyed much success in his solo activities, and he was 4th in the â2013 Singer Awardâ chart that was tabulated by Hanteo, and the only soloist that made it to the top 5.
Jae Joong released his first mini album âIâ in January 2013, before following up in October with the release of his 1st full-length album âWWW: Who, When, Whyâ. The album soon shot up music charts in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, as well as Japanâs Tower Record. It was also ranked 4th on Japanâs Oricon Weekly chart as well as becoming the most popular K-POP song on Chinaâs CCTV3 for three consecutive weeks. The album also topped Hanteo real-time, daily, and week charts, and was first on a Synnara Record poll as the most likely to win at the year-end music festivals.
Meanwhile, Jae Joong will continue with his nation-wide tour in Gwangju on January 11th.

Kim Jaejoongâs first solo concert has the Chinese mainland shaking it up.
C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 9th, âKim Jaejoong held his first solo concert in Nanjing, China at the Wutaishan Sports Center this weekend,â and âHe attracted a total of 10,000 fans to the two-day event for his first-ever solo album Asia tour, and he captivated everyone with his amazing rock performances.â
On this day, Kim Jaejoong performed songs from his first full-length album and mini-album, showcasing his explosive vocal talent and fatal charm. Effortlessly belting out high notes, the singer showcased a variety of rock genres and ballads, captivating his fans with his melodious voice.
As many of the songs featured lyrics written by the singer himself, each performance felt like watching an episode of a drama. Kim Jaejoong changed outfits frequently, matching each outfit to a different atmosphere and touching his fans. The highlight of the concert was the singerâs rendition of âJust Another Girlâ, which was followed by cheers from his fans to return to the stage for an encore.

The Chinese mainlandâs passionate love for the star drew the attention of many. Banners were hung at the entrance of the sports center to show the fansâ support for the singer, and they began chanting Kim Jaejoongâs name 10 minutes before the start of the performance.
Each fan had a different backstory to how they reached Nanjing to see Kim Jaejoong perform. Jiang Myung (22), who came from the northeastern region of China, was unable to buy a plane ticket to Nanjing and had to ride a train for 22 hours to get there. There were many fans who traveled over 1,000km to get to Nanjing from Beijing.
A representative stated, âFans flocked to Nanjing from all over China because they arenât sure when Kim Jaejoong will return to China after this performance. We added an additional concert because we wanted to give more fans an opportunity to see the singer perform, and this became a hot topic in China.â
