TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin can be seen basking in the warm sunlight, enjoying Italy’s summer weather. TVXQ and Italy. Although it seems like these two nouns have no connection to each other, they do in a way, don’t they?! That connection is ‘Handsome guys’. TVXQ caught the eyes of the people of Italy, young and old alike! Shall we follow U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin to see how they spent their time in Italy?
“U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin sitting in front of the Duomo Cathedral”
Where is this? It’s Milan. Seeing them sitting in front of the Duomo Cathedral, one of Milan’s representative landmarks, really emphasizes that they’re in Italy. They stared at the cathedral for a while; it seems as though the majestic beauty of the cathedral has stolen TVXQ’s hearts.
The duo climbed to the top of the Duomo Cathedral, which gives you a view of Milan’s entirety. As Milan’s landscape came into their view, they couldn’t hold back their appreciation and amazement. ’This is great~’, ‘It feels like a breath of fresh air, right?’ Seeing Yunho and Changmin walk back and forth to take in all the sights got us excited as well.
“Walking down the streets of Brera in Milan, the city of fashion”
Walking down the streets of Brera in Milan, the city of fashion, in suits seems to have made the duo feel more excited. True to their reputation as fashionistas who can make any place they go a photo shoot location, Yunho and Changmin kept us captivated.
“Traveling around Milan’s Corso Como on bicycles! It’s so fun~ Yipee!”
It may have been because of their desire to see all parts of the city, but Yunho and Changmin quickly found themselves a pair of bicycles that would make it easier for them to traverse the streets of Corso Como. Stating that it had been a while since they had been able to cycle around a city so freely, the duo became real tourists as they discovered the nooks and crannies of Milan, greeting people as they cycled by, taking breaks and enjoying the sunlight.. We could feel their ‘youth’ as they enjoyed the sights of Italy!
“The endless charms of Italy’s gelato have even captivated TVXQ!”
The highlight of any vacation is the food! There are so many delicious things to eat in Italy~ One thing that comes up in everyone’s mind when they think of Italy in the summer is gelato! TVXQ were captivated by the soft and sweet charms of gelato, and made sure to try different kinds of the dessert every day. Even the act of eating gelato looks like a commercial when they do it…!
“Shall we begin our Como vacation?”
This is Italy’s Como, the greatest vacation spot in Italy~ Riding a funicolare to the top of the mountain opened TVXQ up to a view of a lake as wide as an ocean! They plan to spend the day immersed in nature, indulging in a little R&R~ Changing their style to fit the location, TVXQ showcase a different kind of charm from the charm they showed in Milan! They look like a couple of youths, enjoying a backpack trip through Italy.
“Melodious music, a cool breeze… Unforgettable moments”
“Making a splash in Lake Como!”
Going full-speed on a yacht felt like a breath of fresh air. They ended up jumping in to the lake and splashing each other with water, acting like children again! Yunho and Changmin were enjoying themselves and Italy’s natural wonders~ This is how TVXQ spent one wonderful summer.
“TVXQ bask in the moment at a winery in Bergamo”
When in Italy, one must never forget to visit a winery. The vineyards splayed out in front of their eyes, and the locals greeted them with a warm welcome and delicious wine. Yunho and Changmin shared stories over a glass of wine, filling the end of their trip to Italy with warm laughter.
This marked the end of Yunho and Changmin’s trip to Italy, which marked their ten years together~! We hope you keep an eye on this duo as they continue to do their best. Till next time, ciao!
P.S Don’t forget to tune in every Monday and Tuesday at 10pm to watch Yunho in MBC’s ‘Night Watchmen’! Don’t forget!

“Two tried to stay while three tried to leave. I hope all of us are happy right now…”
This is what Park Yoochun had to say about JYJ’s split from TVXQ, a group that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, five years ago.
In an interview with edaily StarIn ahead of the release of ‘Sea Fog’, Park Yoochun was asked to rate his activities since the dissolution of TVXQ, to which he replied, “I was happy.” He continued to add, “But as time went on, I began to think, ‘What was it all for?’ It was probably a choice we all made for ourselves as individuals. Even the ill feelings I once had towards them are gone now. I truly hope that all of us are happy right now.”
Park Yoochun said, “I’m really excited to see the drama ‘Night Watchmen’, which Yunho appears in.” ‘Night Watchmen’ is MBC’s current Monday-Tuesday drama that began airing after the end of ‘Triangle’, which JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong appeared in.
Park Yoochun reminisced about his old colleagues as he said, “I hope it all works out for all five of us,” and “If we’re able to get together and have a glass of soju together one day, even that alone would be great, don’t you think?”
TVXQ made their debut in 2004 with ‘HUG’ and released a stream of hits such as ‘O-Jung.Ban.Hap’ and ‘MIROTIC’, becoming the most popular Korean idol group ever. Since splitting into a two-membered TVXQ and three-membered JYJ due to problems with their contract, they have been expanding their activities to the drama, movie and musical industries, showcasing their prevailing popularity and influence.
Park Yoochun recently made a comeback as both a singer and actor. JYJ released their second full-length album on the 29th of July and held their Seoul concert on the 9th. His first movie ‘Sea Fog’ was released on the 13th.
‘Sea Fog’ is based on a play that follows six sailors as their boat is flooded by a group of stowaways. In the movie, Park Yoochun plays Dong Shik, the youngest crew member who falls in love with Hong Mae (Han Yaeri), who becomes a stowaway to find her lost brother.

The Night Watchman’s Journal, described as a fusion fantasy set in the Joseon era, has released new posters and stills. Most importantly, the new drama stars Jung Il Woo, who gets to play a royal prince by day and ghost buster at night.
Judging from the posters, the show packs in multiple genres such as paranormal, romance, action, and suspense into one fantastic period drama. Jung Il Woo is a prince who inherited a special power from his father which allows him to see ghosts. Although he is a royal prince, he lives a lonely life outside of the palace. (To fans who fell for Jung Il Woo in The Moon That Embraces The Sun, we hope he gets the girl this time.)
Aside from Jung Il Woo, the exciting drama also co-stars Go Sung Hee, Seo Ye Ji, and Jung Yun Ho of TVXQ.

Actor Ohn Joowan (31), who is a former dance instructor of SM Entertainment recently opened up about his experience working with TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho (28, Jung Yunho).
Newsen met with the actor in a cafe in Nonhyun-dong, and he began reminiscing of his days as a dance instructor in SM.
Regarding the fact that he used to teach trainees, including TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho, while working in SM Entertainment, Ohn Joowan stated, “10 years ago, there were about 10 trainees in SM who I was in charge of teaching. I’m sure that there are others in that group other than U-Know Yunho who ended up becoming singers. Back then, they were just kids who were around thirteen or fourteen years old.”
As a graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts, Ohn Joowan was once more passionate about dancing than becoming an actor. He said, “I’ve been dancing since I was in my second year of middle school. Dance was the only thing that didn’t make me feel stressed out. Just like that kid in ‘Billy Elliot’, I was happy when I was dancing.”
He continued to say, “The dance style that was popular when I was in middle school was b-boy dancing. In the suburbs, contemporary dance was rare but there was a lot of information and resources on b-boy dancing. I also had a lot of friends who wanted to do it too, so I started out with b-boy dancing.”
Ohn Joowan added, “When I became a high school student, I came up to Seoul with the thoughts, ‘I really like dancing, so I should learn at least one more style’ and ‘I really want to try contemporary dancing, not just moves you can pick up on the street’. I came and took lessons on jazz and contemporary styles of dancing. That’s when I decided that I wanted to apply for contemporary dance as my major.”
When asked, “Were you the reason why U-Know Yunho is able to dance so well?” he replied by saying, “No, no. Yunho’s always been much better at me in certain dance styles. I would show up to teach him, and I would always learn poppin’ dance from him.”
Ohn Joowan also stated, “We shared a special connection through our love for dance, not just as a student and teacher. We didn’t really talk that much because we could communicate through our dance moves. When I see these young trainees, I can see just how hard they must have worked to get where they are.”
He also added, “When I was a student at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, U-Know Yunho came for his college entrance exam. This was before Yunho made his debut as a member of TVXQ, and he came up to me and said, ‘Hey, teacher’. That’s when we got to know each other again. We still contact each other quite often.”
