Editors Note: Episode 20 Rooftop Prince Ends…Sob…Sob…Sob…

First of all, I personally think that “Rooftop Prince” would have been interesting as a Parallel Universe production–however, reincarnation was the theme [I can’t even imagine wanting to go through this again] so “ya gots what ya gots”.

This was an absolutely adorable drama. It started and ended with tragedy but hope is in the air. Yi Gak and Bak Ha [scratches head] or Tae Yong and Bak Ha manage to meet in the palace gardens. Tears and reunited love all around.

I guess my biggest accolade goes to the writer, who somehow managed to corral this complicated set of characters into submission. Even so, we lost numerous characters never to be seen again, but all in all–the main characters were managed well. I am still wondering what happened to Yong Tae Yong in the hospital–but I can only conclude that once Yi Gak died in Joseon–Tae Yong awakened and came to Bak Ha.

I guess the giggly fun part is watching the Flower Four put on their modern wear and consume omurice. They turned it into a business.

‘Rooftop Prince’ was a combination of the tragic, the ridiculous, true love, sacrifice, and reward–complete with baby-faced protagonists and antagonists.  Interestingly, I thought the answer to the riddle was a butterfly, that’s what I think they wanted us to believe–but it was the lotus flower.

This had a truly surprising ending. I hope that a sequel is planned. Wouldn’t that be great? Bak Ha and Tae Yong with cute plump babies at their feet who have their own time adventure with Mom and Dad. We’ll see.  😮

On May 23rd, JYJ‘s Jaejoong visited Taiwan for his ‘2012 KIM JAE JOONG FAN MEETING IN TAIPEI‘ event in promotion for his drama, ‘Protect the Boss‘.

From the moment of his arrival, Jaejoong was greeted by the deafening cheers of 600 fans that had gathered at the airport. An official of the airport revealed, “It was supposed to be a brief visit just for his fan meeting so we didn’t think so many people would show up at the airport.” Local newspapers reported that his arrival had actually paralyzed the airport.

Event sponsors revealed, “‘Protect the Boss’ has recently successfully concluded its run in Taiwan, but the passion for the drama still runs high, as there have been discussions for reruns in the future. We released 2,500 seats for the fan meet, and all of them were sold out within seconds of going on sale, with the actual server crashing in the mean time. We’re all surprised with Jaejoong’s popularity.”

 Jaejoong kicked off his fan meet with live performances of his ‘Protect the Boss’ OST before moving on to playing games with his fans, revealing what he keeps in his personal bag, and a final performance of “No Gain“, a self-composition included in fellow member Junsu‘s solo album.

Jaejoong stated, “It’s been a year since I last visited Taiwan last year for our world tour. I missed you all. Thank you for the unchanging support. I hope that my fans had as much fun during these two hours as I had. I hope to see you again soon.

[News] 120524 JYJ’s Kim Jun Soo Starts Two Month Asian Tour

JYJ’s Kim Jun Soo will start his two month long Asian tour.

Kim will hold the concert ‘XIA 1st Asia Tour in Thailand’ in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 27 at 6:00 in the afternoon. This is the first concert he will hold while touring Asia.

Kim previously held a concert in Korea and thrilled over 15,000 people. He will meet about 4,000 people in Thailand.

Kim’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, says, “Tickets for his Thai concert sold out after only in 10 minutes. His unconventional music video is also receiving an explosive response. Since he held a successful concert in Korea, many Asian countries want to invite him to hold concerts.”

There are 3 big benefits for Kim’s Asia tour.

First, Kim will sing songs live so that people can listen to his talented singing skills.

Kim can sing very well while performing dance songs “Breath” and “Set Me Free,” which include intense choreography.

His emotional and sensational voice complements ballads, including, “Though I Already Know,” “I Don’t Like Love,” and “You are so Beautiful.”

Second, he will give unconventional performances.

Choreography for the title song “Tarantallegra” and “No Gain” was created by popular American choreographer Jeri Slaughter. As a result, the songs include high level and high edge choreography which is perfect for the songs.

Kim’s Asia tour will be another big present for Asian fans who haven’t had the chance to really meet Kim often.

He will also talk honestly about making his album and everyday life.

Kim will hold concerts in 7 cities, including Jakarta, and Indonesia, on June 16.

With SBS “Rooftop Prince,” starring Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min, making its grand exit this week, fans all over the world sent expressed their love for the drama. According to SBS, fans from 36 countries sent photos of posters supporting and thanking the cast and crew.

The messages were not only from countries that traditionally enjoyed kdramas, like the United States, China, Japan, and other Asian countries, but also from countries like Chile, Peru, Russia, Italy, France, Netherland, Iran, Qatar, Nigeria, and more.

Producers from the drama revealed, “We’ve occasionally had foreign fans visit our shooting location, but we had no idea how much foreign fans were supporting our show. Everyone was extremely moved when they heard the news. The messages made all of our efforts worthwhile.”

It has been revealed that JYJ member Kim Jaejoong, who will be acting in his first period drama with “Time Slip Dr. Jin”, will be participating in the OST.

On 21 May, staff of the new MBC drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin” said that Jaejoong, who plays the powerful officer Kim Gyung Tak will be participating in the “Time Slip Dr. Jin” OST.

Jaejoong’s song “Even Living Is Like A Dream” is a haunting song about the pain between Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun) and Yoo Min-ah (Park Minyoung). It is also noted that Jaejoong wrote the lyrics for this song.

News that “multi-talented idol” Kim Jaejoong who has been active both in singing and acting will be participating in the OST has made fans very happy. This song will be released online on 25 May, on various music sites.

The “Time Slip Dr. Jin” production team said, “Jaejoong’s gentle voice which is full of emotions creates music that matches “Time Slip Dr. Jin” very well. All the staff and team are praising in, and we’re really satisfied with the song.”
