[NEWS] “DBSK Problem Should Be Solved After Some Time” — Yoochun
In a recent photo shoot for the November issue of High Cut Magazine, JYJâs Yoochun opened up about the DBSK debacle and his early acting experiences.
When asked about the still on-going problem with DBSK, Yoochun said, âThere are so many things to think about and also many things to sort out that itâs no longer a problem a single personâs big heart can solve. Whatever the future outcome, I believe it will be solved after some time.â
Looking back at his previous projects such as KBS dramaâSungkyungkwan Scandalâ and MBC drama âMiss Ripley,â Yoochun also shared his frustrations with acting, saying, âThe more I act, the more the flaws form, and they do not become fewer. That was really frustrating.â
The âMiss Ripleyâ star also said, âIn my head Iâm thinking, âFor this line, Iâll do it like this,â but when I actually act it out, it turns out to be completely different from what I had planned. Itâs difficult to act.â
In the accompanying photos, Yoochun shed the soft and âflower boy-lookingâ style and went for a more masculine look. The 64th issue of âHigh Cut,â featuring Yoochunâs manly photos will be released on November 3.

âWeâre hungry to show you what a real World Tour is!â
Group JYJ is the first singer of Republic of Korea who succeeded a solo concert in Spain. On the 29th Oct (local time) JYJ had a brilliant concert at Poble Espanyol, Barcelona, in front of 3000 people which didnât include only Spanish fans but also other European fans from France, Netherlands, Switzerland, etc.
This concert was indeed a challenge. Although among domestic netizens, there were different opinions regarding the number of audience, the meaning and value of JYJâs challenge are not going to fade. It was hard to find a reputable promoter for a concert of Korean artist. This is reality. For this concert, JYJâs agency C-Jes Entertainment has directly worked on it from A to Z and has had to overcome several obstacles.
Europe is like a wasteland. For a Korean artist to hold a solo concert in Spain, it was full of burdens and problems that general public couldnât imagine of. Moreover, it wasnât a concert planned with participation of various artists from a large company but a fruit achieved by just one team. Therefore, the challenge is praiseworthy enough itself and we canât help praising its meaning.
If we must compare numerically, the number of attendees was of course humble. They are JYJ who could mobilize tens of thousands of audience if the concert was held in Korea or Japan. Just look at the concert in Japan which was held before European tour, they sang in front of 40,000 spectators per day, so 80,000 in total. But in the strange land of Spain, they stood in front of thousands of spectators. Even so, JYJ has brought off a more elated stage than ever. The press that has directly attended the concert and the officials agreed that âAlthough they have stood in front of tens of thousands of fans just a few days ago⌠they really tried their best, without low-spiritedness or fear.â
The more praiseworthy thing is their ultimate goal to break through into Europe.
Representative of C-Jes Entertainment, Mr. Baek Changjoo had a meet up with Osen in Spain. He described JYJâs ultimate goal to become World Star, âOur final goal is to achieve a real world tour. Even in Europe, large companies have brought large-scale concerts to Paris (France), London (UK), etc. But JYJ is facing a new challenge by starting a solo concert in Spain and Germany, countries where the embers of K-pop were just about to fire. Our dream is to eventually hold a real meaningful world tour encompassing all Asia, America and Europe. Through this European tour, we want to verify our potential and to make this an opportunity to introduce K-pop more to Europeans. I think a real world tour is clearly possible if we can make it in South America too after this.â
He also added with firm determination, âIf a foreign artist can mobilize 10,000 spectators for a solo concert, it could be called great success. We aim to hold a world tour including Europe once a year, every time we release an album and to do a showcase in Europe in the future.â

JYJ has taken the top spot on Japanâs large-scale record store Tower Recordsâ October K-pop chart.
On 2 November, Tower Records Japan published their Kpop chart for October. The results showed that JYJâs âIn Heavenâ was no. 1, and at 2nd place was SNSDâs âThe Boysâ, followed by Karaâs âStepâ, 2NE1â˛s âNOLZAâ and Super Juniorâs âMr Simpleâ was in 5th place.
Netizens said, âThey took no.1 spot even without Japanese activities, itâs great,â âWell done, JYJâ âThe three men that capture the attention of the world,â and other responses.
Also, JYJ successfully completed their Spain concert on 29 October and following that, will be holding their âJYJ Europe Tour Concert 2011 in Berlin, Germanyâ at the Tempodrom on 6 November, the 2nd stage in the European leg of their tour.

Taking the top spot as ânatural-born artistâ is JYJ member Kim Jaejoong.
In an internet poll asking âWhat would they be if they were not artists? Who is the natural-born artist?â which started on 25 October and ended 1 November, Kim Jaejoong garnered 4,811 (36.5%) out of the 13,175 votes cast and took the no.1 position.
Aside from his delicate appearance, and being recognised for his vocal and performance abilities, with star quality, Kim Jaejoong recently broadened his circle of activities as he took on acting, and has gained much attention.
Following Kim Jaejoong was singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong with 2,624 (19.9%) votes at 2nd place, and singer-actor Rain was 3rd with 1,113(8.4%) votes.

JYJ had a successful start for the Europe tour with 3,000 enthusiastic fans in Spain.
âJYJ Europe Tour Concert 2011 in Barcelona, Spainâ was held at Poble Espanyol plaza in Barcelona, Spain on October 29th. That was the first Europe concert of JYJ as well as the first Spain single concert by Korean singers.
The affection and zeal for JYJ and their music by JYJ manias from Spain with just 500 overseas Korean residents, European countries and Central and South America were enough to astonish journalists from Korea.
Started by âEmptyâ in JYJ worldwide album, JYJ sang total 14 songs including songs from recently released Korean album âIn Heavenâ, and drama OSTs to create a perfect stage with genuine passion.
Fans sang along the chorus in Korean throughout the concert and shouted loudly after every singing, demonstrating the power of JYJ once again.
Yu Chun remarked that âwe would like to introduce our music with proper assessmentâ, while Jae Joong said that âI think it is meaningful to deliver our music in a strange country. It would be better if a year were 24 months.â Jun Su said âwe want to get more countries, and also return to places where we had a concert to reward their excitement.â
JYJ came up the stage thanks to encore requests by fans, and it was over after 11 pm. Emotional fans, who could not easily leave the place, were heating up the passions in fall night of Barcelona.
