JYJ recently said that they were surprised by South American affection.
On March 8, JYJ held a press conference for their ‘JYJ South America Tour 2012′ and said, “We arrived at the Airport early this morning, and there were lots of fans there to welcome us. We were surprised at the many female fans who kissed us on the cheeks.”
South American fans welcomed JYJ with traditional South American greetings. The group members were surprised by the cultural differences but they soon smiled and appreciated the fans’ support.
The members were also surprised at the fact that there were many male fans in South America.
JYJ says, “We think that many fans love and support us for our powerful performances and talented vocal skills. Even though we are in South America for the first time, we knew about the country through social networks. South American fans also send lots of packages to our agency. They don’t know much Korean but they wrote short messages in Korean and it made those fans memorable. We will do our best to make the concert perfect for their support.”
JYJ will hold their exclusive concert on March 9 at Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile, and on March 11 at Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental in Lima, Peru.

Where do I start? We all knew that the Chileans [and soon Peruvians] were going to be passionate. That was a given. We also knew that Jaejoong was going to be the main target. After all, he was voted the sexiest man in the world, right? or something thereabouts… 🙂 Even with that knowledge I don’t believe that JYJ and their staff were prepared for the airport debacle that just occurred. I gathered from reading accounts and watching the videos that there were flashmob dances and a warm reception planned for our Guys. Obviously, something went wrong–and instead of a warm welcome, JYJ received a hot mobbing. I am thankful for those fans, staff, and reporters who leaped to the rescue, and I understand that some were hurt in the process. Beyond Monica was there and tried to help as well. Our Guys were man-handled and that is why I am writing this addendum.
BTW, why didn’t the airport security help? The situation with TVXQ’s Yunho having to quiet and direct the fans was due to insufficient participation by the airport security. But I digress…
All of the controversy about JYJ being abused by fans is reflected in what has just occurred and has been happening on an escalating scale for 8 years. I am very grateful that this has come to everyone’s attention, because it is time for the fandom and the world to realize how devastating and demoralizing this type of behavior can be to JYJ, TVXQ, and other groups. I have read that Shinee’s fans can be quite rambunctious.
How do you point the blame for emotional outbursts only on the artists? Admittedly, they have to exercise self-control as much as possible because the fans are their livelihood and you never want to abuse anyone. They put up with this type of behavior day after day, year after year, and no one expects them to occasionally lose it? That is totally unrealistic. They are chased by sa-saengs(privates)in cabs, by the Paparazzi, and it is reported that approximately 150 sa-saengs are on their trail each day. I personally do not see how they have not gone completely insane. I believe that it is the knowledge that we are there praying for them and supporting them, along with their own families and friends providing support that help them to stay stable.
Now I know why Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun are so close, as are Yunho and Changmin. It is survival. They all share experiences either collectively or individually that would boggle your mind. These experiences encompass not just fans who do not understand limitations, but also (as we are all aware)the companies they work for.
I commend you, JYJ, TVXQ, et al. You have excellent self-management tools that you have had to develop over the years. All I ask is that you continue to communicate when you are so stressed that you are afraid that you will lose it. Don’t disguise it; speak to us frankly. We cannot help you if we do not know the facts. Lots of love. Momma Cha

Read from top to bottom~
Junsu: This must be some kind of punishment..
Junsu: At this time i was supposed to landed in Chile…but still in LA….AAhh what kind of cruel fate is this
Junsu: According to LA time we landed here at 10am and were to leave for Chile at 2pm..But it was delayed for 4 hours..and then again for 7 hours..The reason is a mechanic defect…started boarding at 10 and with a large noise from the engine I thought we were leaving but then a sudden braking right before take off..
Junsu: In that moment..there was a smell inside the plane..seems like something unusual with the propellers..when experiencing times like this, what should I do in this situation?
Junsu: Drawn out for so long….been waiting at the airport for 12 hours..ate 3 meals at the airport.I thought we would finally leave but..in the end it seems like today…I wonder where I’ll be going…
Junsu: It started with a defect in the propellers from the beginning..that’s why we’ve been waiting like this for 8 hours or so..but more than that what’s really important is..just when we were about to leave…and the plane was running at full speed and it was about to take off..at that exact moment a bird was sucked into the propellers…

[TRANS] 120229 JYJ’s First Concert In Peru Expected To Be A Big Hit
“Atmosphere already heated for concert on 11 March”
“Additional 1,000 seats sold out in an instant”
An additional 1,000 seats were added for JYJ’s Peru concert, as requested by local fans. The passionate atmosphere can already be felt even before the concert itself.
On 11 March, JYJ will be holding their concert for 5000 people at Peru’s Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental. Due to strong requests from local fans, who rarely have the opportunity to watch (JYJ) perform, the organisers have also added extra seats.
JYJ’s management agency, C-Jes Entertainment, expressed, “As there were many requests from fans who were not able to purchase tickets, and (JYJ’s) schedule really did not allow for an additional show, we added 1,000 slots in empty spaces in the standing section. The 5,000 original tickets had sold out on 30 January, 2 days into the presales, and the additional 1,000 slots were also sold out in an instant.”
The passion of JYJ’s fans in Peru was already showcased back in January, when a queue formed the day before tickets for VIP seats, the closest seats to JYJ, went on sale.
