As We Celebrate Thanksgiving
In 1863, during the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day. the purpose was to give:
“Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.”
Thanksgiving has been observed in the United States as a national holiday since that time. It is a revered major holiday due to the emphasis upon faith, family, and friends.

We’re traditionalist, and Thanksgiving is still our favorite holiday of the year. “Why”,you might ask? Thanksgiving is the least commercialized major holiday, well, it was–Black Friday has taken a foothold.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving is about family and food. There are a few things to purchase here and there, such as decorations for the table and mantle–but generally Thanksgiving is all about family, friends, and giving thanks for Blessings throughout the year, There is food on our tables, and hopefully, love surrounding us all. We must not neglect to pray and help to provide for those who do not have homes or families. Prayers are going up for those in despair and bondage this Thanksgiving season, and we are grateful for the generosity and benevolence that our Guys do.
The weather in the United States has taken us all by surprise. We went from summer into winter. The entire nation is experiencing extreme weather this holiday season, and other places in the world, such as Indonesia, are being struck by earthquakes and disasters. So many people are spending Thanksgiving in shelters and away from loved ones and home.
Thanksgiving may be disliked by some because of it’s perceived connection to early roots of oppression at the beginning of America’s journey as a nation, but if there is a concerted effort to turn bad to good in which good triumphed–Thanksgiving is a prime example. It’s not about the turkey or the dressing, it is about saying “Thank You” to God for the life and breath that are in you to continue in this world and to possess the treasures that we can have while here.
You are on this website because of a mutual treasure that we all share and enjoy–our Boys and their Music. Happy Thanksgiving, because they are a part of our personal world that are not negotiable. Mr’s Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu, and Changmin–Happy Thanksgiving!!! 2014 has provided even more things to be thankful for–dramas, musicals, movies, and individual activities all over the world. We have a new JYJ album and Asian and Japanese tours–not to mention some downright funky music all of our Guys have produced this year.
Even though we may celebrate this holiday at a different time of the year, we are grateful to share the blessings that you give us, and we pray that we are somehow blessing you in return. We look forward to the Holiday season.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE !!!! May The Blessings of The Season Be Yours!!!
