B2ST’s Yoon Du Jun’s performance earned him the ‘Suwon Bluewings FC MEN, Man of the year’ title from his fellow teammates and the Samsung Bluewings team.

Meanwhile, FC MEN officially became a part of Suwon Samsung Bluewings this April and features Suwon Samsung’s key player Jung Sung Ryong as its honorary coach. The team features 12 popular stars such as JYJ’s Kim Junsu, Kim Hyun Joong, B2ST’s Lee Gi Kwang and Yoon Du Jun, Lee Wan and Seo Ji Seok.

Scoring two goals in the first half and three more near the end of the match, Superstars easily beat the energetic idol team. Though many had anticipated FC MEN to pull through in the second half, it ended with one penalty kick by Park Jung Jin. But the spirited play by the blonde-haired captain Kim Junsu and the other players had the 1,300 spectators showing their support and enjoying the game.

Kim Yong Man’s Miracle FC and Seo Kyung Seok’s FC Libero, eternal rivals of comedy, had a fun but tense match that ended with a 2:0 victory by Miracle FC. The players’ funny goal ceremonies and exemplary sportsmanship had the spectators rooting for both teams.

MBC Sposrts+ will be airing today’s matches and the broadcasting dates can be checked on the competition’s homepage (www.peacestarcup.com) to enjoy the funny commentary by comedian Kim Kyung Min and anchorman Shin Seung Dae. The preliminary rounds will be held from the 27th of September till the 11th of October and the king of all kings of the second half of 2011 will be decided on the 15th of October.

Seo Kyungjong said: “In particular I thought that Junsu would be cocky since he is a big star. But actually it is comfortable because he treats others without pretense and with familiarity. Even now when I meet Junsu he treats me with such closeness that I feel- is this really the Xiah Junsu who is so charismatic on stage.”

Continuing, he revealed: “I am thankful and I feel encouraged because he has given me advice and shared stories about broadcasts when I retired as a pro-gamer and came to venture out as a commentator. A few days ago even he encouraged me saying that I should prepare hard so that I can stand in front of my fans as a great commentator and was a great source of strength.”
