EDITOR”S NOTE
WHAT is with all the Hogwash about U-Kiss, Code-V and the like reenacting, replacing, or surpassing a group as popular, even split, as DBSK?
Each one of these groups has, I am sure, its own dynamic, attraction, and appeal based upon the interaction and abilities of the individuals that comprise the groups. Even providing U-Kiss with the same staff, and executive leadership as was there for DBSK is no guarantee of tremendous success. Why? Simply because the success of DBSK has come primarily from the group dynamic of five of the most talented and individually determined people to hit the industry. What they have accomplished both as five members of DBSK, and now as JYJ and HoMin, three members and two members respectively, is astronomical. Even with U-Kiss’ intended “packed schedule” (which may not be a blessing btw) they have much to do to even come close to the legacy of DBSK.
Not only that, but the majority of DBSK fans are made of tough stuff, and loyalty is one of the glues that holds this fanbase together. We are “fanily”, a new coined phrase of my own that expresses JYJ and HoMin’s fanbase. There are always a few who run on the edge of the pack and drift off at some point–but these are few. As in the case of JYJ, what other group(s) can you think of, who, despite being unable to market new albums or promotions, or distribute products to the whole of their fanbase, still has the loyalty of their fans after a year of more of separation?
There will always be wannabees, and imitators just like with Elvis Presley, living their lives off of someone else’s accomplishments–but the original always is the best. Market these groups on their own merit Avex. You do not need to make them strive to live up to DBSK’s accomplishments. I’m sure that over time–these later groups will not suffer as much as DBSK, who broke the ground in Japan at the cost of their time, energy, and well-being. After all, these new groups will work hard to please your expectations, forfeiting their own desires until such time as they wise up to the reality of their everyday existence.
If they garner as large a fanbase as DBSK over time, let them do it on their own merit. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

[Translation] 110608 Netizens Are Baffled By TVXQ’s ‘Crazy Suicidal Schedule’
This looks like a totally grueling schedule. No wonder our guys were being driven crazy. At least JYJ is no longer subject to this. Momma Cha
The schedule of TVXQ, when it was a five-member group, has become a hot topic once more.
Recently, TVXQ’s schedule was sorted and released in an online community, catching the attention of many netizens.
Spanning from July of 2008 to July of 2009, the schedule is deemed to have been ordered and sorted by a TVXQ fan and includes the phrase ‘This excludes some activities such as photoshoots for magazines, music recording sessions, filming for MVs, filming for DVDs, photoshoots for photobooks, and filming for CFs.‘
The schedule surprised many as it shows an endless repetition of flying in and out of the country with at least 3~4 scheduled activities per day and little to no rest.
Netizens who saw this stated, “It would be hard to follow if one was not healthy”, “It’s a suicidal schedule”. “This must be the kind of road people have to walk on to be the best” and “They must not even have the time to eat. That’s sad.”

[Translation] JYJ Charity Concert Fanaccount It has ended~
It was really cool !!

I was holding back my tears upon seeing the World Concert in Tokyo words (on screen), and as I lined up for the restroom, minutes after I got back to my seat it began.
The stage was a 360 degree circle, a design that made it easy to see from any seat.
The first number was as expected Empty.
I was already howling.
The three of them, really were so cool.
I thought Jaejoong would perhaps cry, but with a strong gaze he has said many things to us.
I felt Yoochun has gotten thin again!
His English singing was so cool~!
Junsu as per usual was full of charisma, be it dance or singing, he was super cool TT_TT
Be the One’s Yoochun also was utmost cool, I screamed non-stop during the bridge w
Be My Girl was the remix version, and we did the same dance steps together as in the Seoul concert ;0;
And then I was in tears seeing the dancers march during Mission’s introduction TT_TT Just like that utmost splendid choreography that I saw in Seoul.
The greetings were in Japanese and a lot were being said!
Jaejoong by himself spoke a lot, and many times apologized for not being able to talk a lot because there weren’t enough time.
“Everyone here do not feel like audience, but like family.”
“During this past year, I think there have been many unpleasant things, and many infuriating things (for you), but you’ve waite for us, thank you.”
Jaejoong was really cute when he spoke Japanese.
The fans also laughed a lot and we all had a good time ww
Their Japanese were astonishingly good (laugh).
Speaking in fluency.
Except for Junsu (laugh).
Junsu was having fun dancing with the female dancers and that was so cute w
Yoochun said he wanted to do a countrywide tour singing Japanese songs.
Jaejoong also said we wanted to sing Japanese songs (for this live), sorry that we could not.
There was no sadness in this concert, the way they carried themselves were dignified and beautiful.
The evening show was also seriously cool, JYJ gave a perfect performance.
Jaejoong said, standing on a stage in Japan was since a-nation.
At these words, the fact that it’s already been a year was keenly felt by me. Especially since I have just recently watched the three’s a-nation performance recordings.
Throughout this live, Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun truly sparkled, and delivered performances as the best artists.
Their costumes were also identical to the world tour ones.
For the evening show my seat was in the eighth row.
A seat that I could view the stage very easily from, it was about at the same level as the stage. It was the first time I was this close to the trio (´_`。)
Because I had already cried a lot during the afternoon show, I thought I wouldn’t cry anymore, but when Jaejoong appeared onstage right in front of me, I again welled up…
At the first number Empty, fans were yelling “Let it Go, Let it Go!!” along with them and the venue’s atmosphere was heated up from the very beginning. This choreography was also cool. And really, JYJ’s dancers are hot!!!!!
Basically, the talks were mostly done by Jaejoong who spoke smothly in Japanese, and when he first greeted us said, “Let’s each, each, each say our greetings.” I was poking fun at him in my mind as he likely said each, each, each because there were three of them, but he seriously was so cute~~~ *^0^*
Junsu made effort to say his greetings in Japanese ww During the afternoon session he frankly admitted that “I’ve forgotten quite a lot of Japanese vocabulary.”
“Ehhh?!!” Yoochun acted as if he was shocked at this.
Yoochun said, “Don’t you speak (in Japanese) right away when you drink with Japanese friends?”
Junsu, “Recently, I have not drunk with them so…”
This conversation was cute ww
Jaejoong said, “We didn’t think coming to Japan would be so hard.”
After the geeting they sang Pierrot.
And they also performed that new song (Get Out) that was prepared for the world concert.
The song was COOL!!!!!!
When Jaejoong sang Junsu and Yoochun would be dancing in the back, singing Hey!!!Ho!! ww
Junsu was giving his 120% and dance with his all, and Yoochun, he was dancing so hard I was wondering if he woud collapse!!!!!!!
Mission began with the dancers marched toward us, I’ve loved the song when I heard it in the Seoul concert, so the introduction of the song was enough to get me all hyped up.
So cool, Mission…
I forgot when was Be The One sang… But this was another song that the audience all sang along with!!!!!
At Chajatta, everyone was loudly singing along and Jaejoong asked, “Everybody, know this song hun??”
Of course we know~~~~~ We love this song~~~~~!!!!!!!
How much do you think we’ve cried watching you sing it during the year-end award show~~~~!!!!!!!
I was really satisfied when Junsu danced right in front of me.
Because I was sitting where Junsu came over a lot, I was able to see Junsu dance like he would overwhelm us with his power for many times.
Though I have in the past seen Junsu dance with naked eyes, but he was reeeaally cool.
Fallen Leaves was a song I fell into a daze listening to.
It was a blessing to be able to feel this song I so love live.
As the circular stage was rotating around as it rose upwards, we were able to see the trio alternately.
Today, I was nervous until the event began, worrying a little if something would happen to interrupt it, so when it proceeded without a hitch I was so relieved I again cried …
Be My Girl was the remix version, we danced that legendary dance together again w
The lighting was quite bright and it last long, so I saw very well Junsu’s movements and Yoochun’s sexy dance.
And at Jaejoong’s instruction, we did the human wave as well w
This was when the members and dancers left the stage and prepared for encore.
Fans continued to call for JYJ, and toward the end the JYJ calling got super loud I was startled ;;
The first encore song was Empty (Remix) that was sang at the beginning.
Junsu was very close to me again, Junsu was shaking his neck so vigorously I almost thought his neck would fly my way (laugh).
Jaejoong spoke a lot during the ment.
Jaejoong’s manner as he expressed his thoughts in many words,
it was completely different from when I saw him in Tokyo Dome one year ago.
He was really manly, cool, and he has become strong.
Jaejoong, you were really really splendid.
He promised that they would come to Japan again.
It’s alright if (their coming to Japan) would take time, I want them sing in Japan again.
At last it was their new song In Heaven.
Kajima, kajima, kojima, kojima, saranhe saranhe.
Ah~ They harmonized as they gathered at the center of the stage, it was awesome.
When I saw the performance on youtube I thought, that another classic was born, so I was glad to be able to hear it live.
Though the concert was short, we had a really wonderful time.
Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu, I was relieved t see your beaming faces. Thank you so much.
I love you~~~~~
Come again~~~~~~~

(some additional ment)
Jaejoong: Even though we have nothing (for the fans). But for a year, a year is such a long time, you have waited for us.
Jaejoong: You have repeated told us, you want to see us, you want to see us. And when we have come, you tell us that you’ve wanted to see us, you have wanted to see us. (T/N: Or alternatively, “You have repeated told us, you miss us, you miss us. And when we have come, you tell us that you’ve missed us, you have missed us.)
Jaejoong: The three of us got wet, got wet… wait I sound kinda dirty here…

[Relive]: JYJ 2011 World Tour] JYJ brings the fire to San Jose!
I look forward to attending one of these concerts Someday. Beautiful venue, beautiful performance. Keep improving; Keep fighting, Mancubs. <3 Momma Cha

After holding their showcase tour last autumn, JYJ has returned to North America for their “2011 World Tour“!
Having impressed fans with their shows in Vancouver, Newark, and Los Angeles thus far, JYJ’s Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu ended the tour with a bang on June 3rd, performing their final concert at San Jose State University’s Event Center Arena in San Jose, California.
Check out allkpop’s exclusive coverage of the action-packed show below!
===
The concert may have been scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, but JYJ’s presence at the venue was obvious long before the arena even opened its doors. With fanclub banners strung across campus and supporters passing out free posters, red glowstick headbands, and light-up finger lights before the show, any passerby would be hard-pressed to miss the feeling that something huge was taking place that evening.
As attendees began to stream into the arena for seating, the letters “JYJ” blazed across the enormous screens that flanked each side of the stage. The light-studded wall behind it glittered with gradients of colors, and two glass cages were placed on both sides of the platform. Though the stage was still empty of performers, the set-up promised a dynamic performance for the night.
A practice video played on the screens during this time, revealing the backup dancers who ran through the choreography for “Be My Girl“. Since the video had subtitles, it gave the audience an opportunity to learn each dance move in the routine.

Suddenly, the video ended, the arena lights shut off, and the room became illuminated by tiny red stars. Fans started screaming and pressing forward as the familiar beats of “Empty” pierced the air. JYJ emerged onstage with a full entourage of male and female back-up dancers dressed sleekly in black. Whoever was in charge of set decoration truly bigged it up for this concert – the larger-than-life, club ambiance enveloped the arena and swept the audience away.
As the first song came to an end, the trio stood alone on the extended stage, allowing fans to feast their eyes on the idols and admire their stage wardrobe – Jaejoong sported a ruby red suit with a flower brooch, Junsu was dressed in a gray suit with a feather accessory on his back, and Yoochun was glittering from top to bottom in a blue suit.
A few seconds passed and the three men jumped right into their next song, “Ideal Scenario (I.D.S)”, another upbeat dance track. This time, male dancers dressed in black, ninja-inspired outfits performed choreography behind them. The energy in the stadium was pulsing, fans were flushed from the excitement, and that’s when a few piano notes echoed through the air as ballad “Nine” followed up.
“Wassup San Jose!“, Yoochun greeted as the audience erupted in reaction. “Welcome to the JYJ World Tour in San Jose, so glad to see you guys!” Junsu chimed in, “Let’s have a good time together, thank you!“, and Jaejoong continued with a smile, “I hope you enjoy the show, kamsamnida!”

To kickstart the next song, JYJ exclaimed in unison, “Get ready to SCREAM!” On cue, white lights flooded the arena and “Pierrot” echoed through the speakers. The three members appeared on the upper platform of the stage as female dancers in white tutus performed ballet-inspired choreography on the main stage. Although the song has an upbeat style, JYJ’s soaring vocals and the dancer’s haunting feel gave this performance a deeper layer of emotion.
For the fifth track, “Be My Girl“, microphones were set up and each member returned to the stage one by one, grooving and goofing off to the tune. The laidback song was followed by a dramatic behind-the-scenes video of “The Beginning” album jacket photoshoot set, complete with slow motion falling snow and waterfalls.
During this break, JYJ switched into their second set of outfits (full black leather & silver accessories) and returned for “Be the One“, a performance characterized by its heavy bass beats pumping into the stadium floors and the flashing yellow lights that dramatically turned blue as JYJ sang. The dancers all circled together and put their arms on one another as the tune of “Ayyy Girl” then pulsated through the airwaves. ”Club JYJ” was back in full force – the busty female dancers in fishnets and male dancers in Michael Jackson-inspired outfits returned to the stage to hype up the atmosphere once again.

The stadium went black and the sound of thunder and a phone dial filled the air as the mood changed once again. Yoochun emerged to perform “I Love You“, surrounded by six masked female dancers. The volume of screams rose and fell whenever Yoochun approached the ladies, reaching a breaking point as the idol’s lips neared a dancer’s before teasingly pulling away to sing a falsetto note with ease.
Suddenly, psychedelic green lights flashed across the stadium, drum beats vibrated through the walls, and cymbals clashed in the air. At the climax, horns blared through the speakers, red sirens blinded the audience and had I not known it was part of the show …….. Instead, the ninja-dressed dancers marched back onto the stage and the dramatic violin staccato riff joined the drum beat as JYJ returned onstage in heavily-studded leather trenchcoats for “Mission“.
The performance was like something straight out of a warrior movie – Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun were oozing masculinity, and when you thought it couldn’t get more , Yoochun suddenly stepped forward and rapped a full verse in English. “Mission” is a go-getter thriller track that makes any listener want to jump out of their seat, and so it ended perfectly with a bang – literally. Fans screamed as steam dramatically flushed up at the front of the stage on the final note.

With a song as strong as “Mission” following so many hard-hitting tracks like “Be the One” and “Ayyy Girl”, the audience needed to catch its breath before being spoiled with more racy performances by JYJ and their backup dance team. Junsu was next up to perform a ballad solo, and after a slideshow of photos eased the mood once more, blue sparkles glimmered on the back screen and white fog tumbled onto the stage as the idol performed “I Can Soar“, now dressed in a black vest and pants.
Jaejoong followed with “Still in Love“, another ballad wrought with emotion. While the ballad itself was beautiful, fans seemed more interested (or, to be more accurate, outraged) by the singer’s flirtatious encounters with the backup dancers behind him, who were sexily dressed in white button-ups and black shorts. At one point, Jaejoong even gave one dancer his black jacket, leading to a crescendo of screams from the audience.
After a high energy dance break featuring solo performances from each of the backup dancers, JYJ re-emerged in black and metallic outfits to perform “Found You” from the “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” OST. It was one of the more memorable stages that night, as the crowd sang back in unison to the “saranghae” parts of the chorus à la call and response.
“Thank you so much for being with us today,” said Yoochun after the song ended. He then turned to Jaejoong expectantly to give his own message. The idol exclaimed, “Hey guys!… uh…“, and faltered as he fixed his earpiece, sheepishly grinning as everyone laughed. “I’m sorry!“, he exclaimed, then broke into a message in Korean about how thankful and excited he was to be there.
JYJ then performed “Fallen Leaves“, a timeless ballad. Getting to hear this song live was absolutely moving – with the absence of overpowering instrumentals, the listener could intimately feel each voice, textured and thick with emotion, pushing and filling the stadium. As Rowdyruff mentions in his “Their Rooms” review, “Fallen Leaves” stands out because of the way each JYJ member commands the melodies and makes them his own. The way that JYJ’s voices soared in this performance proved that it was truly raw vocal talent that carried Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun to their fame in Asia over the past decade.
The trio continued with “Boy’s Letter“, yet another ballad whose harmonizations were jewel-like in their perfection. This track contained a few sections where the instrumentals would fade, allowing the trio’s voices to truly speak for themselves. Furthermore, “Boy’s Letter” was full of falsettos and overlapping climaxes that left everyone breathless.

The subdued crowd felt revived once more when a techno beat began pumping through the sound system with the remix of “Be the One“. Jaejoong repeatedly shouted, “Jump!!” and “Stand up!!“, and his fellow members also walked across the stage to hype up the audience. The backup dancers returned, now wearing the red glowstick headbands and finger lights that were being passed out earlier.
At the end of the song, a male dancer stepped forward with a mic, a cake, and a beaming smile, as he announced that they had a surprise for a very special birthday boy. “Yoochun!“, he exclaimed, turning to the idol and handing him a few decorated bags. “We wanted to present these gifts from your fans!” After exchanging hugs and giving a touched message to the audience, Yoochun couldn’t keep a grin off his face as JYJ performed “You’re” for their next track. The song concluded with an explosion of silver confetti above the audience.
When the crew disappeared off stage, it was obvious the audience wasn’t ready for the show to end. Fans began chanting for an encore for a full five minutes, the desire stronger over time as everyone in the stadium joined in. They erupted into cheers as a heartbeat began to pulsate on screen and pound through the speakers, and JYJ returned to the stage in leather jackets, white “JYJ” shirts, jeans, and white kicks to perform “Get Over“. A remix of “Empty” soon followed with new choreography full of tutting, chest pumps, and a dance break where Junsu pop-and-locked, impressed with a freeze, hopped back up, then belted a high note without missing a beat.
For the last encore track, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu stood alone in three white spotlights and sang “In Heaven“, another slow song that grew and grew until each of the members’ falsettos were echoing off the stadium walls – a climactic finale fit for such a high energy concert.
At the end of the day, JYJ hammered home that while they certainly possessed charm and looks, it was their unmatched vocal talent that allowed them to keep so many loyal supporters over the years. With this concert marking the conclusion to their North American leg, it’s fair to say that Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu triumphed with each performance.
This tour was a vast improvement from their last showcase tour in November, and with this trio continuing to outdo themselves with every show, we’re excited to see what they will bring in the future!

[Translation] 110606 Hayato Blog Update Part 2 Happy!
( Prayerfully, this is a charity concert. Everything is so confusing concerning this. Whatever your purpose, Mancubs, we are behind you because we know your hearts. 🙂 Loving You. Momma Cha
YESTERDAY, I was a little hasty in writing my article, so I’ll add a little bit more now.
First, I went to Jaejoong’s room.
His first words,
“I haven’t seen you in awhile.”
I said,
“Welcome home!”
Jaejoong said,
“Were you all right during the earthquake? Was it scary? Did it shake a lot?”
I was really impressed by his thoughtfulness.
He asked me if I had been okay during the earthquake. Amazing.
Then, I moved into Yoochun’s room.
The staff had prepared a fruit tart from Omotesando’s “Quil Fait Bon” (NAMU-san, it was a great success!), and we had a small birthday party.
When Yoochun opened the box, everyone there let out silent gasps of surprise … it was the first time I saw the tart too, and it was beautifully made, a work of art, even too good to cut it with a knife.
Yoochun was extremely delighted.
Then they must have been tired, so we immediately started to talk about the concert..
Sorry, I couldn’t write in detail, but
They had a strong sense that it is a charity concert.
This made me happy the most.
Lastly, I wanted to convey everyone’s message.
“Thank you very much for coming to Japan.”
The staffs were bowing their heads (maybe they were crying) and said,
“Thank you very much”
Jaejoong said,
“We wanted to come, but it isn’t that easy for us to come.”
Here he seemed to be concealing some embarrassment.
I said “Everyone knows that you came here in spite of these kinds of predicaments.”
And I also added that there are many who want to come, but are not able to.
I definitely believe … that it will be a good concert.
Let’s treasure the thoughts they have given us by coming here.
