111202 [RE-POST] [MINI PROJECT] Support The Mango Tree Project And Leave A Message For JYJ

[RE-POST] [MINI PROJECT] Support The Mango Tree Project And Leave A Message For JYJ

Herroooooooo

I haven’t posted here in a while and it makes me feel kinda guilty .__.
But I’ll probably start posting again in the next week so \o/

Anywho, the reason I’m making this post is because t’is the season of giving!
Yes ladies and gentlemen, Christmas is just around the corner (okay… more like 25 days away) and the spirit of sharing has returned.

As you all know, JYJ, along with Yoohwan and Ji Hyo, are participating in World Vision’s Mango Tree Project.

It aims to plant 20,000 mango trees in Sudan as a sustainable source of income for those who have been afflicted by the internal conflict. Each tree costs 10,000 KRW to plant, which means JYJ are aiming to collect 200 million KRW. Personally, I think this is an absolutely spectacular charity project, which is why I’ve set up this mini project.

I’m sure some of you have visited the C-JeS mini-homepage thing for the Mango Tree Project, clicked on the little link that said “click here” and…. ended up on the Korean site of World Vision (as seen here)… Awkward sauce yo .__.

You need a Korean registration number to make the donation, which is only given to Korean citizens (more awkward…). This was why my fellow ninja master Rara had to ask me if I could help her out and I said, ‘Hey, why not?’

So, in light of it being the happiest season of the year, I’ll be using my registration number to make a collective donation from anyone who would like to join in.

Here’s some basic info for the mini-project:

Date: December 1st ~ December 10th 11:59pm KST
Amount: As much or as little as you would like
Paypal account: TVXQmelodies@gmail.com

On the 5th, 8th and 11th (after all donations have been collected) I’ll post a spreadsheet with first names, amount donated and ‘message received’ (for the message to JYJ)

All other costs that come from transferring the money from my Paypal account to my actual bank account will be paid for by me, but whatever costs may come from donating to my Paypal account must to paid for by you guys (I don’t even know if there are any costs for this D:) and I’ll be contributing an extra 30,000 KRW (one tree per member )

After your donation has been made, send me an e-mail to TVXQmelodies@gmail.com with the following information

Name:
Country:
Amount donated:
Message to JYJ: (Maximum 5 lines guys. I know you all have a lot to say, but I can’t be translating paragraphs .__.)

On the day the donation is made, I’ll post a confirmation screencap of the donation, as well as the money withdrawn from my bank account as well as the e-mail that I’ll be sending to both C-JeS and World Vision.

So whether you’re a JYJ fan, TVXQ fan or someone who just wants to help out with a great cause, join in and spread the holiday cheer!

Mucho loves,
Jee

[PROJECT] Meals From The Heart

[PROJECT] Meals from the Heart

We have done multiple projects as the international fandom. Birthday projects, lightsticks project, charitable projects, you name it, we’ve all done it all for them.

However, OneTVXQ would now like to venture into an area of the Korean fan culture that the international fans have yet to achieve. We’re providing Yunho and Changmin and all the crew involved with 2 meals from the heart.
Remember these amazing projects by fellow KCassies?
More here!

This is an ambitious endeavour funding for 2 meals, especially at such a short notice. But we’re not Cassiopeia, if we don’t do things on a large scale. So let’s show them the Cassiopeia power. That we’re capable of giving them motivation and cheer in the form of a meal, the very basic necessity. (Oh we’re sure Shim Changmean will love his food. :D)
We are looking at over SGD$1500. O! will be willing to fork out for at least half of it. However, we definitely can’t do it alone. This is where you come in. We have less than a week to the event, so really hope that everyone can donate as best as they can. Here’s to letting Yunho and Changmin feel welcomed on their first visit to Singapore!

NEWS 111105 KPop Stars Overseas Fanclubs — More Passionately Devoted Than Their Managers

[News] KPOP Stars Overseas Fanclubs – More Passionately Devoted Than Their Managers

<Going As Far As Doing Press Publicity, Donations & Community Services>

“We Japanese fans are also thankful that U-Know Yunho-ssi is able to have many activities. We wish to convey U-Know Yunho-ssi’s Japanese activities in Korea.”

In the middle of last October, gratitude was conveyed to approximately 20 media outlets for press reports regarding idol group Tohoshinki member, U-Know Yunho. Letters requesting for reports on his Japanese activities were also relayed. The place where the letters were posted from was U-Know Yunho’s Japanese fanclub “Fan Blog Ring One”. Comprising of approximately 800 Japanese fans, these fans sent letters and Tohoshinki’s albums, which went on sale in Japan the previous month. The places where they sent these letters and presents did not merely include Korea’s media outlets. To promote and publicize U-Know Yunho’s activities, “Fan Blog Ring One” also sent letters and albums etc to music broadcast outlets in Europe and America.

An administrator of “Fan Blog Ring One”, Koto Kiyumi-ssi said, “There is an underlying commemoratory significance for Tohoshinki’s album, which went on sale in Japan in approximately 2 years. We wanted to do activities which could leave memories, so we commenced support activities.” More than just enjoying seeing K-Pop stars, the culture of overseas fanclubs is now evolving to the level where it involves assisting the stars’ activities and taking part in the management of their activities.

The “fan support culture” of these fans did not merely include the promotion of the albums, they have even gone on to overcome cross-border boundaries to do volunteer work. This fanclub raised 10 million won last February to donate to two social welfare organizations in U-Know Yunho’s hometown, Gwangju, conveying 5 million won to each of them. They commented, “As fans, while wishing U-Know Yunho on his birthday, we want to share these congratulatory wishes with the children of U-Know Yunho’s hometown, Gwangju.” As soon as the huge earthquake in Eastern Japan last March happened, they even used the name of U-Know Yunho’s fanclub to raise and donate 5 million yen (approximately 73 million won) through the Japanese Red Cross Organization.

Koto Kiyumi-ssi said, “Even before the K-Pop fever in Japan, U-Know Yunho has received love from the Japanese.” Further, she continued, “The fate with the individual star extends to looking on at that country and that country’s people. We’ve evolved so as to be able to look warmly at that country’s people too.”
