[TRANS] 120315 Tohoshinki’s New Single Achieves Number 1 On The Oricon Charts

Tohoshinki’s new single achieved number 1 on the Oricon charts once it was released.

According to the Oricon charts on 15 March, Tohoshinki’s new single “Still”, released on 14 March, achieved number 1 on the Oricon daily single chart.

This song forgoes what can be said to be Tohoshinki’s best weapon, their powerful performances, and is instead an emotional medium-tempo ballad. In addition, “One More Thing”, which is also recorded in the single, has been chosen as the theme song for Bee TV’s drama “Let M”.

On another note, Tohoshinki is currently holding their nation-wide tour, which began in Yokohama Arena on 18 January, and will be held at 11 other areas across Japan. This concert has been well-received, and will attract approximately 550,000 local fans.

[NEWS] Still coping with father’s death, Yoochun to return to work?

[NEWS] Still coping with father’s death, Yoochun to return to work?

It seems that JYJ‘s Park Yoochun who is still broken hearted over the recent death of his father will be returning to work even before his tears have had a chance to dry.

According to a broadcast insider, Yoochun will be heading over to the set of his new SBS drama ‘Rooftop Prince‘ after his father’s burial on March 16th.

Until now, the ’Rooftop Prince’ staff members have planned their filming schedule around JYJ’s Chile and Peru concerts, but they did not expect the sudden passing of his father.

Because Yoochun plays a leading role in the series and ‘Rooftop Prince’ is set to broadcast its first episode on the 21st, the situation cannot be helped and it will be difficult for the staff to allow any delays.

A staff member remarked, “Yoochun’s representatives have been told of the circumstances. He must be both physically and mentally drained, and everyone sees this as an unfortunate event.”

‘Rooftop Prince’ is a romance story that spans 300 years. The first episode will air on March 21st.

Editors Note: North Korea’s Change of Leadership

Our prayers go out to the people of North Korea. Regardless of how people may feel about the political climate of North Korea, the pain and confusion of the loss of stability in a country such as this still impacts its residents. They are in mourning.

We all should be prayerful that this change in leadership for North Korea will produce a more positive trend in the future of that country. There is lack of maturity in the successor, and reading that he possesses ruthlessness is not a good sign. People are not meant to be held down, uninformed, and listening to only one family’s voice. It is also sad to realize that there is no election process that gives the people choice for change.

I pray for South Korea because they are so close to this situation. We want safety for them and their children, and we want safety for Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu, Changmin and their families. We do not need another Korean Conflict. The article mentions the number of United States soldiers in South Korea but not the numbers of the South Korean army. South Korea ultimately bears the weight of her own destiny with help from her allies.

China plays a pivotal role here, and it makes me uncomfortable to know how indebted we are as a nation to China. How do you hold their respect and encourage them to listen to your voice?

Editors Note on OPINION

Editor’s Note on Opinion

This is the reality of stardom. Sad to say, even though there are varying degrees of obsession–there will always be personages within the fanbase who do not understand boundaries. Every person deserves life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness–those are guaranteed constitutional rights–at least in America. I cannot speak for another country. It appears to me that if there are individuals who violate these norms of societal living, even within a fanbase, there should be repercussions.

How can you expect a star to entertain you over time with lack of peace, sleep and rest? If you truly love them then you will also want the best for them–and I consider sleep and R&R at the top of the best chart.

The article below speaks for itself. It addresses one of the issues of being forever in the public eye. I’m sure that our imaginations could not stretch far enough to envision every problem that crops up. There is a price to be paid for being a public servant. The price is lack of freedom and privacy.

A question was posed about why these persons are not arrested, detained, etc.? We all know why Yunho decided to forgive and let the person who attacked him go. Yunho is compassionate, as I’m sure many of them are. Is it aiding and abetting to allow them to walk away, or to allow saesang’s to stalk unimpeded?

In my own opinion, it is not helping those intrusive individuals to become responsible, caring people by allowing them asylum because potential for great harm is present in their actions. Why are they tolerated? Despite their behavior the industry tolerates them because a large percentage of these individuals or groups will buy goods or attend concerts, even if to cause mischief. It boils down to money received over a guaranteed future existence for the artist. Shame on the industry for placing their entertainers potential for revenue making above their personal need for safety.

BTW, Kyuhyun, I salute you for thinking quickly upon your feet and running instead of confronting. It probably saved your life.

Let’s Keep Praying and Fighting!!!

Translation 111017 Park Yoochun’s Greeting Message For The Legend of Zelda–Skyward Sword

[TRANS] 111017 Park Yoochun’s Greeting Message for The Legend of Zelda – Skyward Sword

http://www.nintendo.co.kr/zelda25th/movie/list.html
Sorry y’all, gotta click on the link to get to the video 🙂

Hello, this is Park Yoochun. It’s nice to see you.

Today, I get to play The Legend of Zelda – Skyward Sword.

I’ve liked this game ever since I was a little kid, from when I was in the 6th or 7th grade.

The Legend of Zelda was the first game I played on the Nintendo 64 console that my father bought for me as a birthday present for the first time.

At that time, I wasn’t very fluent in English so I worked on my English a lot by playing The Legend of Zelda, and I remember having lots of fun playing the game.

Since then, I really got into The Legend of Zelda and I’m sure I’ve played just about every single game of the series.

Even when the previous version of the game came out, I pre-ordered it, bought it and played it in Japan, saying that I’d use it to study Japanese.

I finally get to play this game and I really want to get started as soon as possible.

I’ll try to play the game well.

Editors Note: JYJCY Are Growing Up

Editors Note: JYJCY Are Growing Up

On the average children grow up. Pure and simple. They develop their own ideas and morals and defy you to question their validity. These moral and lifestyle decisions are based upon what they have observed or absorbed early in life and what they choose to embrace in the present. As time progresses and they learn more of what life has or does not have to offer these paradigms may change. They have a responsibility, however, to others around them, and, in the case of our dynamic five with their high-end public exposure, the responsibility and accountability factor goes even higher. I am proud to say that I believe, even with the occasional snafus and hiccups that come our mancubs way, that they are trying their best within the choice limitations placed upon them to do right things in the proper way.

Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin are not always in the position to say no. Many of their choices are made for them and everything that they may do or say while working does not automatically reflect their own inner ideals or desires of the heart.

Is it time to stop nurturing them? Is it time to conclude that now that they are adults that they do not need us there for them? Can they do this entirely on their own? I don’t think so. It is more crucial to let them know how much we believe in their humanity and abilities now than ever before. We may not always like everything that we see–but here is the question. If JYJCY could get to know each and every one of us individually would they like everything about us? Probably not. They have voiced their opinions about stalking and other privacy and behavioral issues in the past and present.

Let’s keep supporting them through what may seem to be a rapid growth time where their individual personalities and preferences are starting to show. We all are kept busy trying to keep up with the sheer volume of productivity going on. JYJCY is on the move and we have to move with them. This doesn’t mean that we have to agree to each action or choice. We just have to remember that love covers these things, prayer changes things, and true love never dies. Praying and Hwaiting.  Momma Cha

Official: Plane Problems May Have Caused Nevada Crash

Official: Plane Problems May Have Caused Nevada Crash

By MARTIN GRIFFITH – Associated Press,SCOTT SONNER – Associated Press | AP – 9 hrs ago

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A vintage World War II-era fighter plane plunged into the grandstands Friday during a popular annual air show, killing at least three people, injuring more than 50 spectators and creating a horrific scene strewn with body parts and smoking debris.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately known, but an official with the event said there were indications that mechanical problems were at play.

The plane, flown by a renowned 74-year-old air racer and movie stunt pilot, spiraled suddenly out of control and appeared to disintegrate upon impact. Bloodied bodies were spread across the area as people tended to the victims and ambulances rushed to the scene.

Maureen Higgins of Alabama, who has been coming to the show for 16 years, said the pilot was on his third lap when he lost control.

She was sitting about 30 yards away from the crash and watched in horror as the man in front of her started bleeding after a piece of debris hit him in the head.

“I saw body parts and gore like you wouldn’t believe it. I’m talking an arm, a leg,” Higgins said “The alive people were missing body parts. I am not kidding you. It was gore. Unbelievable gore.”

Among the dead was pilot Jimmy Leeward, 74, of Ocala, Fla., a veteran airman and stunt pilot who named his P-51 Mustang fighter plane the “Galloping Ghost,” according to Mike Houghton, president and CEO of Reno Air Races. Officials earlier said Leeward was 80.

Renown Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Kathy Carter confirmed that two others died, but did not provide their identities.

Stephanie Kruse, a spokeswoman for the Regional Emergency Medical Service Authority, told The Associated Press that emergency crews took a total of 56 injury victims to three hospitals. She said they also observed a number of people being transported by private vehicle, which they are not including in their count.

Kruse said of the total 56, at the time of transport, 15 were considered in critical condition, 13 were serious condition with potentially life-threatening injuries and 28 were non-serious or non-life threatening.

“This is a very large incident, probably one of the largest this community has seen in decades,” Kruse told The Associated Press. “The community is pulling together to try to deal with the scope of it. The hospitals have certainly geared up and staffed up to deal with it.”

The P-51 Mustang crashed into a box-seat area in front of the grandstand at about 4:30 p.m., race spokesman Mike Draper said. Houghton said Leeward appeared to have “lost control of the aircraft,” though details on why that happened weren’t immediately known.

Houghton said at a news conference hours after the crash that there appeared to be a “problem with the aircraft that caused it to go out of control.” He did not elaborate.

He said the rest of the races have been canceled as the NTSB investigates.

KRNV-TV weatherman Jeff Martinez, who was just outside the air race grounds at the time, said the plane veered to the right and then “it just augered straight into the ground.”

“You saw pieces and parts going everywhere,” he said. “Everyone is in disbelief.”

Tanya Breining, off Hayward, Calif., told KTVU-TV in San Francisco: “It was absolute carnage. … It looked like more than a bomb exploded.”

Another witness, Ronald Sargis, said he was sitting in the box seat area near the finish line. The box seat area holds 300 to 400 people, while the main grandstands area holds several thousand.

“We could see the plane coming around the far turn — it was in trouble,” Sargis told KCRA-TV in Sacramento. “About six or seven boxes down from us, it impacted into the front row.”

He said the pilot appeared to do all he could to avoid crashing into the crowd. Response teams immediately went to work, Sargis said. After the crash Sargis went up a few rows into the grandstand to view the downed plane.

“It appeared to be just pulverized,” he said.

Leeward, the owner of the Leeward Air Ranch Racing Team, was a well-known racing pilot. His website says he has flown more than 120 races and served as a stunt pilot for numerous movies, including “Amelia” and “Cloud Dancer.”

In an interview with the Ocala (Fla.) Star-Banner last year, he described how he has flown 250 types of planes and has a particular fondness for the P-51, which came into the war relatively late and was used as a long-range bomber escort over Europe. Among the famous pilots of the hot new fighter was WWII double ace Chuck Yeager.

“They’re more fun. More speed, more challenge. Speed, speed and more speed,” Leeward said.

Houghton described Leeward as “a good friend. Everybody knows him. It’s a tight knit family. He’s been here for a long, long time,” Houghton said.

The National Championship Air Races draws thousands of people to Reno every year in September to watch various military and civilian planes race. They also have attracted scrutiny in the past over safety concerns, including four pilots killed in 2007 and 2008. It was such a concern that local school officials once considered whether they should not allow student field trips at the event.

The competition is like a car race in the sky, with planes flying wingtip-to-wingtip as low as 50 feet off the sagebrush at speeds sometimes surpassing 500 mph. Pilots follow an oval path around pylons, with distances and speeds depending on the class of aircraft.

The FAA and air race organizers spend months preparing for air races as they develop a plan involving pilot qualification, training and testing along with a layout for the course. The FAA inspects pilots’ practice runs and brief pilots on the route maneuvers and emergency procedures.

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., issued a statement saying he was “deeply saddened” about the crash.

“My thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives and with those who were wounded in this horrific tragedy,” he said. “I am so grateful to our first responders for their swift action and will continue to monitor this situation as it develops.”

The group which consists of member Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho and Key touch down Singapore in the morning of the 10th, the day when the concert was held. Though the members look tired, Onew was spotted with a mask on at the aiport, from the journey here, they perform to their fullest that very night for their 6,000 fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium which took 5 nights to set-up.

Even as it started to rain hours before the concert starts, the weather did not falter fans who are already seen queuing up for this much anticipated 21/2 hour concert. F&N, the official drink was even spotted giving fans the boost to carry out with their queue and the much needed energy for the concert. Most of the official goods were already out of stock, as most fans had place their pre-order weeks before the concert was held.

To add a little touch of Singapore for the concert, two Singaporean children were even handpicked to be a part of the much admired SHINee World Concert. Euclase Lim Rae, 5 years old, and Baptist Lim Siang Leong, 7 years old, portfolio is one to be admired off as they are featured in many of the local advertisements here. Both of these children made their appearance when the SHINee boys appeared, transformed into angels and sang “Lullaby” to them.

Not only fans from Singapore were present for the event but others such as Japan and Korea was spotted at the event too. Almost all fans came prepared with lightsticks and handmade placards, something which has become a necessity for any events. Fans of different age were also present. From the preschool to those in their forties were seen among the thousands of fans in the stadium; even the moshpit.

During their individual performances, Key and Taemin drew the most cheer when the latter dress up as a girl and both almost kissing each other. Throughout the concerts, fans were seen singing and dancing along with the boys, be it for those sitting down or in the moshpit. Many of the fans at the mosh pit fans though were busy running up and down the pit to follow after their favourite member and getting as close to them as they possible could. Fan-chanting was heard the loudest when “Lucifer” a song from their latest album was sang.

For member Key, whose birthday falls on September 23rd, the fans did a special event, a banner with “Happy ‘키’ Day!”, which caught the attention of the boys, claiming it being one of the things which they are touch most during the entire concert. The other members even held a small celebration for Key which excites many of their fans present. Key then went on thanking his fans and even promise to be back to Singapore once again.

Though the concert has ended, many fans hesitated to leaving the venue in hopes that the boys would return on stage for a last goodbye. Up till the last moments, fans were seen asking the stage crew, who were clearing up the stage and picking up gifts thrown in by fans, for the items worn by the boys themself. In hopes of getting a memorabilia of the SHINee’s 1st Concert held in Singapore.

Being the junior of DBSK, these five boys really do amaze the crowds with their amazing powerful voices and stunning performances. Just like their seniors, even when they are sick, they will put their best in every single stage they stand on. Something which all fans are proud off no matter which artistes they support. SHINee will continue with their world tour and is currently promoting their Japanese single “Lucifer”. Eom Ki joon in danger of being cut…

Eom Ki-joon in danger of being cut from Scent of a Woman Eom Ki-joon in danger of being cut from Scent of a Woman

by girlfriday | July 26, 2011

Noooooooooo! Bad, bad news. There’s an update on Eom Ki-joon’s car accident, and it looks like his recent DUI does in fact put him in danger of being cut from his current SBS weekend drama Scent of a Woman, starring Kim Sun-ah and Lee Dong-wook. BUT! He’s my favorite character in that dramaaaaaaaaa!

I know, this is not about me. And I KNEW it was a possibility. But waaaaaaaaaaaah.

Eom was in a car accident on July 21st, where he rear-ended a taxi while driving under the influence. Thankfully no one was greatly injured, and now everyone is waiting with bated breath for the court to make a ruling on his case. He apparently was over the legal limit on the test at the scene, but the final word will come from the blood test, currently being analyzed. That’ll determine his culpability, and also his punishment.

SBS has issued a statement that no decision can be made until the court gives its ruling, so they wait, along with everyone else. So what does this mean for the drama? Basically they keep going for the upwards of two weeks until the verdict, after which Eom’s character will either get to continue being awesome crankypants Doctor Poopy-seok, or he gets written out and replaced by some other oncologist who did not poop his pants in grade school. Damnit.

Why, Universe, why?
