The gala show, that featured the ‘K3′ of Korea’s national rhythmic gymnastics team Sohn Yeon Jae(17), Lee Gyung Hwa(23) and Kim Yoon Hui(20) as well as Russia’s ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Yevgeniya Kanayeva(ranked #1 worldwide), Daria Kondakova, Daria Dmetrieva and ‘Ukraine’s swan’ Anna Besonova, became a hot topic when JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong was chosen to direct the show.

On this day, Kim Jaejoong’s fans sent their support for their singer, who is currently broadening his experiences through directing gala shows and world tours, with messages such as, ‘Kim Jaejoong is perfect for directing the festival of fairies’, ‘This will be the #1 gala show’ and ‘We congratulate Director Kim Jaejoong on his creative challenge.’

On June 11 at 3PM and June 12 at 2PM, Korea’s first Rhythmic Gymnastics Gala Show ‘LG Whisen Rhythmic All Stars 2011′ was held at Korea University’s Hwageong Gymnasium. Kim Jaejoong, the director of the gala, sent a whole row of congratulatory flower wreaths.

Not only did Son Yeon and other South Korean Rhythmic Gymnasts attend the Gala Show, but also world-class athletes. In particular, the topic of JYJ Kim Jaejoong’s director-role has been receiving plenty of attention ever since it has been brought to light.

TVXQ’s Yunho expressed his disappointment in falling during his pair-skating performance.

On the June 12th broadcast of SBS’s “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry“, Yunho and his skating partner, Claudia Mueller, gave a pair-skating performance from the musical “Grease“.

In the last episode, Yunho, who placed 1st during the first singles performance, was unable to practice much for the pair-skating performance because of his overseas schedule. Because of this, he gave a sluggish performance during the half-way evaluation.

Yunho revealed, “I was so shocked during the half-way evaluation that I wondered if I would be able to stand on stage. We have a performance, but I just came back from abroad today.”

The two skaters were much more in sync during the actual performance, but because of the lack of practice time, Yunho did make some mistakes.

The experts stated that Yunho’s skating was good, but that they were disappointed by his mistakes. Skater Kim Yuna stated, “Your spiral was good, but I was a little disappointed in the speed.” Singer Kim Jang Hoon commented, “I liked that you didn’t get flustered when you fell and got back up.”

Meanwhile, the pair received a score of 33.7 for their performance.

The Visit Korea Year Committee has revealed that it will be promoting tourism in Korea to tie in with the ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris’ concerts that are to be held at Le Zenith de Paris this weekend.

The concert that will be performed by SM Entertainment’s singers has been renamed ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris to commemorate 2010-2012 Visit Korea Year (VISIT KOREA YEAR Presents SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS)’ and will be held across two days as requested by the European Hallyu fans.

The Visit Korea Year Committee will have a promotional stand at the concert venue to meet and greet the 14,000 fans who will be attending the two shows.

Before the concert starts, the Visit Korea Year Committee will be showing videos that promote future events to be held in Korea such as the Daegu 2011 IAAF World Championships, Jeju’s nomination as one of the New7Wonders, 2011 F1 Korea Grand Prix and the 2012 Yeosu World Expo.

Secretary General Hong Joomin of the Visit Korea Year Committee stated, “We have decided to promote the Visit Korea Year project with the concert in France in order to increase the interest in the Hallyu Wave and increase the rate of tourism in Korea as K-POP is very popular in Europe,” and “We will not limit the Hallyu Wave to Asia and will help spread it to other areas such as Europe and North America.”

The Visit Korea Year Committee recently began a ‘K-pop Cover Dance Contest’ that is catered to Hallyu fans as one of its activities.

The JYJ member reportedly made reservations at a sushi restaurant in Jeju Island during the staff’s stay there, and treated everyone to sawedged perch, which is considered to be the best dish on the menu. The staff had stayed up all night filming for the drama, so the meal was said to have been a much-needed energy boost.

Yoochun commented, “I always felt apologetic towards the staff with us. We’re a dream team aiming to create the best drama possible, so I hope we continue to support each other.”
