Before SBS’s most anticipated drama series Rooftop Prince starts airing, a special White Day event was designed to present expected viewers with male actors’ signatures and chocolates.

There were 123 entries to become the winners of the event. One of the applicants went out into the street with a promotional picket, wearing Korea’s traditional dress Hanbok. There was a fan who hung a large promotional banner on the front porch of her apartment house, while another fan handed out promotional materials around her house.

 

An idea caught eyes of passers in downtown Seoul as she danced to TVXQ’s “Balloons.”

A variety of “fan arts” including creative illustrators and clay arts as well keep being created by ardent fans. The production staff was surprised as they saw a professional clay art that exactly reproduced JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun and actor Han Ji Min, displayed at the press conference for Rooftop Princess.

Someone of the SBS broadcasting network says, “There are a great deal of fans who are sending their won ‘fan arts’ to the SBS Twitter page. Some make us totally surprised for their innovation and originality. I’m well pleased that even before the drama series stars off, viewers seem already to be hooked on it.”

[News] 120312 JYJ First Korean Band to Perform Solo in Latin America

Boy band JYJ held a concert at Teatro Caupolicán in San Diego, Chile, on Friday (local time), becoming the first Korean group to perform solo in Latin America. The venue was packed some two hours before the concert got under way, with over 3,000 fans hunkering down to catch a glimpse of the Asian pin-ups

 In the days leading up to the concert, hundreds of fans from other parts of Latin America such as Brazil, Columbia, Mexico and Venezuela camped at a nearby parking lot to make sure they got a seat at the concert.

The spectators went wild throughout the concert, cheering and waving their national flags. During the show, three people were reported to have fainted and were carried out of the premises.

The performance was part of the group’s world tour, which started last April and ended on Sunday in Lima, Peru.

Chilean reporters who were present at the latest concert said, “K-pop fans here currently number 20,000 to 30,000. But once Korean singers’ music is released through official channels, their fan base will surely expand further.”

Commentary: Sometimes sexy, sometimes sad, the every single expression and body move of JYJ are enough to make the South American audience cried passionately.

JYJ Fan: “Because we knew how JYJ has managed to get through all the hardships till now, thus tears just came out.”

JYJ Fan: “In order to watch the concert, I waited and camp at the concert venue for 5 days. It is a performance just like my dream.”

Commentary: JYJ displayed their new shuffle dance that took the world over crazily and received the cheers from South American fans.

JYJ member Park Yoochun: “It was a performance filled with passionate cheers as anticipated and we are very happy to hold this concert. Once again sincerely thanking every fans in Chile.”

Commentary: The hyper atmosphere that did not calm down even after the concert ended and fans are still lingering around the fan goods section. The first solo concert by K-pop artist in South America..The night of South America is filled with joy and excitement.

The members of the South Korean k-pop group expressed their excitement about performing in Lima and promised to come back to visit Peru.

After creating a stir among their Peruvian fans, who recieved them in happy tears and screams, the Korean boys, Jaejoong, Yoochun y Junsu, members of the k-pop group, JYJ, thanked their fans and promised to come back to Peru.

“We are very excited by the reception we got from the fans, and for being able to sing here”. They stated this at the press conference they offered after greeting the fans, who waited for them outside of the Marriot hotel in Miraflores.

They also expressed they feel a big responsibility, being the first Korean group that comes to perform at Peru, and they hope they can provide a performance in line with the expectations.
