Posts of protest are flooding social networking systems regarding JYJās exclusion from the ā2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concertā, despite the fact that they are the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event.
One Twitter user sent a tweet to Song Young Gil, the mayor of Incheon, (@Bulloger) and said, āAre you aware of the fact that JYJ, the honorary ambassadors of the Incheon Asian Games, werenāt even invited to the upcoming commemorative concert?ā and āEven though they had never been invited to the concert, the committee submitted a false report that JYJ declined their invitation.ā
According to the argument made by this Twitter user, JYJās names were excluded from the ā2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concertā, that will be held on the 1st of September, despite being the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event, and the decision was made by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting celebrities to perform at the concert
The current guest list for the concert features 20 teams including 2AM, miss A, Girls Day, B2ST, Girlsā Generation, Super Junior, SISTAR, SECRET, KARA and T-ara.
JYJās agency C-JeS Entertainment stated that they have filed a formal objection regarding the controversy and stated, āA misunderstanding arose when the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting singers to perform at the concert, notified the committee that JYJ declined their invitation. We set the record straight that we have never received an actual invitation to perform at the concert. We have been told that the committee will verify the truth of the situation by tomorrow (8th).ā
Hearing about his controversy, Mayor Song stated, āI, too, hope for JYJās appearance at the concert but I was notified by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation that the line-up issue is being dealt with by MBC. I will make sure to check on the situation with the representatives of the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation and the committee of the Asian Games.ā

Our Three came through again. You weren’t extremely comfortable, language barriers were there, but I believe you did well. Ā A bit of zoning out at the end? Just pull together for that new JYJ album we’ve been looking forward to. Ā š <333

Obviously there were some restrictions on camera use. The important thing is hearing the songs and Junsu sang beautifully. š

On their world tour, TVXQ have performed in LA, USA, Santiago, Chile, and now Shanghai, China.
TVXQ held their āTVXQ! LIVE WORLD TOUR āCATCH MEā in SHANGHAIā concert at 7:30pm at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. They captivated 10,000 fans with an amazing performance and great stage sets.
On this day, TVXQ performed a total of 25 songs, including hits like āCatch Meā, āHumanoidsā, āRisingā, Why? Keep Your Head Downā, and āMiroticā, as well as solo performances by U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin of āHoney Funny Bunnyā and the Chinese ballad āTing Hai (č½ęµ·)ā respectively.
Fans in the audience held pearl-red fanlights and sang along in Korean, enjoying the performance to the fullest and even prepared a paper slogan event that said āTVXQ! Letās Flyā, touching TVXQ and making the atmosphere of the concert better than ever.
There was fierce competition at the arena to grab last-minute tickets on the day of the concerts, and countless fans flocked to the area to take their chance. As they rushed towards the entry gate, the door at the gate broke, requiring the presence of public safety officials to sort things out.
Meanwhile, TVXQ have now successfully completed their Shanghai performance and are set to become the first non-Japanese singers to perform at Japanās Nissan Stadium on the 17th and 18th of August. There are many successful businessmen, politicians, athletes and celebrities who are part of the Myongji University alumni community. Making their mark, not only in Korea, but throughout the whole world, the alumni of Myongji University take their Myongji outgoing spirit and passion to dream bigger dreams, and they never stop in their efforts to make their dreams a reality. We met with U-Know Yunho (Jung Yunho) of TVXQ, the founders of the Hallyu Boom, KBS camera director Hong Sung Joon who won the Best Korean Broadcast Award, Baek Hui Sung, the first Asian to win Franceās āPaul Maymont Awardā, and Lee Jung Woon, the creator of Anipang. See how these young and talented Myongji alumni have created an amazing future for themselves.
Hallyu Boom Boom! āFive Dome Tour concert in Japanā
Alumni Jung Yunho (TVXQās U-Know Yunho, Movie-Musical Major, Class of ā11)
āIf you have a positive mind and work hard in your preparation and actions, you will be met with good results.ā
Q. Please introduce yourself to our future and current Myongji University students and tell us what youāve been up to.
A. Hello. This is TVXQās U-Know Yunho. Our Five Dome Tour in Japan began at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama on the 27th of April. Our last concerts in Japan were held from the 15th till the 17th of May at Tokyo Dome. Many Japanese fans came to our concert, so I was able to pour all of my passion into my performances. I believe that I was able to end the tour in success because of the attention and support given to us from Myongji University alumni and our fans.
Q. Please tell us about your future plans.
A. In July, weāll be continuing our world tour in North and South America, and China. In August, weāll be the first non-Japanese artistes to perform in Japanās Nissan Stadium, the stage of dreams. This is something I feel every time I stand on stage for a concert, but the fact that our concerts give hope to so many people makes me feel so emotional. I believe that the success weāve experienced till now is all thanks to the support of my fellow Myongji University alumni and the love of our fans. I hope to see you all soon as a great performer and a great actor.
Q. Do you have any advice for future and current Myongji University students?
A. I believe that the things we see and learn in school help us greatly in our transition to society. I think that you need to have the determination to see things through till the very end, no matter what you start, if you want good results. No matter what happens, if you have a positive mind and work hard in your preparation and actions, you will be met with good results. Most of all, you have to believe in yourself. To my future and current Myongji University juniors, always believe in yourselves and be willing to take on new challenges.
