I held out on writing a review for “Poseidon” until I could get a better feel for the drama. This is not for children. The fight scenes, victim scenes, and etc. are quite graphic. There is bloodshed, men and women–and I gather that this is a rather complicated plot based upon anger and restitution for the murder of innocent people. Yunho’s role is short but is an essential part of the plot. I haven’t been able to fully grasp the intricacies of this drama, but when I feel as if I can actually understand it in its intent I will write again. For now–this is a PG-13 drama.   Momma Cha

When it rains it pours. No pun intended. The east coast is recovering from the 5.9 Richter earthquakes and being bombarded by Hurricane Irene at the same time. Having grown up in this area where flood insurance is mandatory, I am fully aware of the preparation and anticipation of a major hurricane. I lived throgh several major hurricanes in childhood, and I have memories of watching a lighbulb swing back and forth across the ceiling. to explain this–we had lights that hung from a thick cord about a foot long. I doubt that these exist today. I can also remember playing as a child in the flood waters that came up to our porch.

Hurricanes are very dangerous, and I can relate to the above picture because I watched my Dad board up many a window as the storm approached. This hurricane is also significant because my mother’s name was Irene. Please, let us continue to pray not just for our countrymen and families but for also for those in other countries who have lost loved ones and seen devastation in their everyday lives. God Bless You.  Momma Cha

Editors Note: 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake

Hi Everyone. There are times when it appears as if calamity is on every side, and you wonder when the trials will be over. I ask for your prayers for my family in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina–and my husband’s family in New York State and our prayers go out to other families impacted by the earthquake. Colorado also experienced a 5.9 earthquake. Although there is minimal damage, I know that they were and are frightened by this occurrence. I lived on the East Coast for 39 years, and what we saw mostly was hurricanes. The world at large is now experiencing devastating weather and events that leave you wondering, “Will I be next?

Faith and trust in The Lord are what holds us together in extremity. Fervent prayer brings results. The east coast was hit earlier this summer with storms, this is just another incident that could have been much worse.

Thank You, Momma Cha

EDITORS NOTE on Conclusion of Miss Ripley

Editors Note on Conclusion of Miss Ripley

It is always sad when the guy doesn’t get his girl. The story of Miss Ripley is based upon real facts, so the typical ending to most dramas in which the lovers are able to find each other and live out their lives together is not present here. So what meaning can we give for the way things turned out?

First of all, we can only speculate on how this all turned out because we cannot see beyond the picture painted by the screenwriter. The canvas is left uncompleted and open to speculation, and, to be honest, a sequel if desired. As much we may want a happy ending, it isn’t forthcoming because the circumstances
around which the drama is built aren’t happy ones. There has to be maturing on the part of Jang Miri, and we do get a glimpse of this in her letter to her mother. She needs time to sort out all of the details that shaped her life in the past, and without this maturing she will never gain joy and fulfillment in her future.

Jang Miri has destroyed chances for many people. Her actions have destroyed entire careers, but there are positives here, for she has also shaken her family out of their complacency and privileged attitudes. The greatest losses that she has inflicted have been upon her lovers, all three of them. Yes, I include her first love because his love, though unwanted, has been real. He learns the hard lesson of when to let go.
The manager is motivated to resume his career as a doctor, the most natural place for him to be.
The greatest loss is inflicted upon Song Yoo Hyun. He not only loses because of Jang Miri’s connection to his step-mother, but he also loses a portion of his respect and trust in his elders. His whole world is shaken from top to bottom. Miri’s needs completely blind him to the love for him that Moon Hui Joo possesses. It is hoped that he finally finds a love much deeper and lasting than his love for Jang Miri.

Jang Miri inspires others to love her because of her ability to be a chameleon. She is a different person toward each person she touches. She also possesses a form of innocence because she is still a small girl inside. Children are survivors. They use their charm to disarm those around them. It is a natural, God-given, survival gift. In a childish adult this gift can get distorted into the habit of manipulation without regard for other’s feelings and no thought to the consequences of their actions. All is self. Miri absorbs other’s energy and resources in order to survive. She swallows up those around her, and her childhood friend will need to make a break at some time so that she can realize her own true potential.

I am personally left with a hope that all of those who were touched by the woman portrayed as Jang Miri found their way to a better life, and that she was able to regain trust in her mother and trust in people. She deserved hope for a future with a man that she could love and respect.

I want to thank our own Park Yoochun and his fellow actors for their honest betrayal of a deeply moving issue in our world society. Yoochun, you are a class A actor. Your portrayal of Song Yoo Hyun was magnificent.

Editors Note The Truth JYJCY will all grow…

Editors Note:

The Truth: JYJCY will all grow older and marry some day. At least I hope and pray that they will. After all of the hard work and sacrifice that they have given for us all, they deserve to have happiness with a home and family. This article, written by Emiieee_Chan, is rather mature for a young lady her age. Her insightfulness is to be admired–and I believe that she writes sincerely.

As an Umma, my perspective is motherly, I will be happy to see them all in solid, enduring relationships with people who care, not about money, nor about fame, but about Jaejoong, Junsu, Yoochun, Changmin, and Yunho as people with dreams and hearts worth protecting. All I ask is that we as fans will give them the respect and dignity that they deserve when we meet their life’s partners. Not only DBSK, but also any artist at work out there. They live hard lives–with very little time to enjoy the fruit of their labors. Their bodies hurt and their hearts break just like all the rest of us.

Does that mean that all of those hoping to be one of those JYJCY life partner’s should give up hope and stop dreaming? Not really, we all have a right to dream, and that dream will come true for five special ladies. Talented musicians and dancers; actors; directors, and songwriters….That is JYJ and HoMin. Love for life to you.

Editors Note SM Entertainment To Revise Contracts The…

Editors Note: SM Entertainment To Revise Contracts

The posting below was published on December 23rd, 2010. As we all know, in the world of litigation and contractual issues there are no regards to timeline if the information is pertinent to a case. This article outlines the changes in contract language and the court desired intentions of SM Entertainment toward it’s entertainers.
Court-ordered changes were issued, were these changes implemented? Also, did SM’s entertainers appreciate or want these contractual changes?

Over the span of history, there are well-documented examples of people who did not want to escape
servitude. After the issuance of The Emancipation Proclamation by Abraham Lincoln toward the end of the American Civil War, and it’s subsequent ratification by Congress, there were many slaves who chose not to leave their masters, and many masters who put pressure on their slaves to stay. These slaves then became servants and had to be paid for their work.

Even as far back as 1 A.D. Greek and Roman slaves who chose to stay with their masters were attached to their master’s household by having a hole pierced through their ear into the post of the dwelling. A gold ring was then worn to publicly declare the willingness of the servant to give up his or her freedom to serve their master.

All this to say that everyone inside SM Entertainment’s borders may not be appreciative of all the hard work and sacrifice that JYJ and others before them have given to provide them more freedom, but despite that there may be many who do and would appreciate new and reasonable contract revisions that will allow them more freedom to pursue their personal goals.

Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun–your labor and sacrifice has not been in vain and may be more appreciated than you realize. We as your loving supporters are certainly appreciative of what you have taken upon yourselves to do, advertently or inadvertently–the revision and reshaping of the Korean entertainment Industry.

Editor’s Note: 110613 Telisha Shaw/ Telisu’s “Our Secret”

I am posting this song for evaluation in reaction to the controversy that could easily get out-of-hand concerning whether our Junsu and Telisha Shaw have a relationship beyond the stage of the JYJ concerts. As friends and performers, they have every right to a relationship. As anything beyond friends, they would be consenting, yet unwise adults.

Workplace romances are traditionally tragic, and in the case of celebrities, potentially damaging.

Where the problem comes from is the tone and implication of the song “Our Secret”. If Telisha has any respect for JYJ, she should have been wiser in her choice of lyrics as it would be an instant assumption that she is referring to Junsu in the song. This is because it is an understanding among the fandom that they are friends, thus the origin of the name ‘Telisu’. What kind of friends is the issue here, and only they can answer that question.

The song itself is extremely trite; immature; suggestive, and, I’m sorry sweetheart, not the best musically. Including references to the crew room, to LA, and to an Austin Martin infer that the person is a part of the show, and has means. You are doing whomever you fantasize about an injustice here.

In light of the fact that the song is advertised as a fantasy, I am concluding that it is a fantasy on Telisha’s part or at least on the part of the songwriter, albeit a tasteless one, and to give you some credit, Telisha, your inference when speaking of Junsu in your interview is that he is still influenced by his parents. That’s a good thing. Thank you for that inside information.

Telisha, if you want to repay your friendship with JYJ in any way, I feel sad that you have chosen a method that could harm either one or more of them, even if it is with their consent. It is thoughtless, and, frankly speaking, since I believe that we know Junsu better than we know you — he gets the benefit of the doubt hands down. Someday all of JYJCY will commit to a permanent relationship, and I wish them well. Some may already be there, but until they deem it appropriate to announce it to all of the fandom, our role is only that of observer and caring supporter.

For now, Junsu remains my Duckie and that rests my case. Love you, Telisha. Life moves on. Momma Cha

Editors Note: AVEX Statement on Withdrawal of Provisional Injunction

Avex would have us to believe that they have won the day by stating that ‘on the grounds that the case
would have been dismissed anyway” –C-JeS and Zak Corporastion have withdrawn the JYJ petition for the provisional injunction for the Charity concert in Japan.

I am more inclined to believe that there is another reason altogether for withdrawal of the provisional injunction, and until we hear C-JeS and Zak Corporation’s rebuttal on this matter–I conclude that Avex
would have lost this case.

Avex is no stronger than SM so we keep fighting their claims and support our guys. The sadness is in the refusal on Avex’s part to give ground on an issue of charity and humanity.

It must be nice sleeping in your warm beds at night while other Japanese people are struggling to survive. Shame one thousand times. Momma Cha

WOW!!!! I Loved It!!! You really can’t get any more enthusiastic than this, can you? Well, maybe some people could–but that’s my ceiling. 🙂 This drama has elements of reality in it. These things happen to real people.
I am looking forward to more revealment of the characters and the plot. Yoochun is acting the boy next door so far–it will be interesting to see his character develop over the duration of the melodrama. I will write more once I have seen a few more episodes but on first impression I give it a 10. Momma Cha

Devastation has once again struck in several places in the United States including Minnesota and Wisconsin. One death has been confirmed in northern Minnesota. Several tornadoes have wreaked havoc and citzens are in the process of clearing debris and pulling their lives back together The area where I live in Wisconsin suffered less damage than some. Please continue to pray for these areas and the people.
In Missouri, there is also devastation and 89 lives have been lost due to tornados. Please continue to pray for these areas and the people dealing with the destruction.
I feel that it is important to be aware of the weather conditions while JYJ is on American soil. That way we can pray for their safety also. Momma Cha

EDITORS NOTE:

IT IS SO DISGUSTING when corporations such as KBS try to ‘pull the wool’ over the eyes of JYJ Fans. As a “‘fanily”, we are aware of every album, and every single that JYJ puts out there. Why? It is because we love them and await every opportunity to listen to their music or watch them perform on DVD. ‘The Beginning’ is an album. In my opinion, ‘Their Rooms’ is an album accompanied by a book. After all, the book includes the lyrics to their songs. So this is my say on this KBS matter. STOP making excuses for decisions that you made to ignore, eliminate opportunity, bow to SM, etc. that are now staring you in the face.

JYJ is a quality group of talented, popular singers, composers, musicians, actors, models, director, athletes, and dancers. They are also excellent leaders. This group is more appreciated, loved, and supported than you can even imagine. So–call a spade a spade, admit your mistakes, and, in future, give our guys some much deserved respect. BTW C-Jes, netizens do count.

EDITORS NOTE This is so bogus I now…

EDITORS NOTE::

This is so bogus. I now place Avex among the other kicking, screaming terrible two-year olds of the entertainment industry. How arrogant can you get!! It is so easy to posture, whine, complain, and poke fingers at JYJ and C-Jes. I’ve seen this ‘I’m afraid for the president’ stuff before. Don’t you have bodyguards? I know for a fact that JYJ would not try to harm anyone–so this in invalid. You need to look for someone else to throw this charge onto.

Avex believes that they can just snap their fingers and suspend JYJ’s activities? I don’t believe that our men were depending on Avex to promote or support them. No one is fooled by the cloying language of this post.
The tone is presumptive, implies that JYJ (and ourselves) is brainless, and is overall unconvincing.

What takes guts is to stand up and do what is right. Obviously the SM machine is still grinding away–and Avex is afraid to tip the cart. The whole dilemma (whether they know it or not) is that JYJ does not acknowlege their claims on the same basis as they have with SM. You talk about abuse on the part of the C-Jes President–you are abusing millions of people in Japan by your stubbornness and lack of humanity. You are concerned about the president of Avex. that is one person. There are millions of people in need of recovery in Japan.
Put it any way you like, it still boils down to nasty politics–and people cannot eat, drink, or be cared for by that. Momma Cha

Translation: 110428 Avex’s Statement Concerning JYJ’s Charity Event

April 28, 2011

To Whom It May Concern

Avex Group Holdings Inc.

Concerning the Charity Event by JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN

There was an announcement on April 5 this year, that JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN (exclusive artists of our company, hereinafter named “JJY”) will hold a charity support event (hereinafter called “this event”) for the Tohoku Kanto Earthquake Disaster.

This event was planned without receiving any permission from our company, which holds the exclusive management rights for JJY in Japan.

Our company has protested multiple times to the organizer ZAK Corporation (hereinafter named “ZAK Corp”) and JJY’s Korean management company, C-JeS ENTERTAINMENT, Co.ltd (hereinafter named “C-Jes Corp” ). However, they have not listened to our protests, and forced through with the ticket sales unilaterally.

Concerning our company’s above handlings, we have received many comments and requests from JJY fans that this event should push through. Or, that since the sole purpose is for charity, we should especially dissolve the exclusive contract. On the other hand, we have received protests from multiple antisocial forces. Furthermore, we were under duress that our president should be harmed, etc.

However, our company holds the exclusive rights for JJY’s activities in Japan, and we have just taken actions for the infringement rightfullly and properly.

Additionally, as we have announced in our press release of September 16 last year, there remains to be compliance problems such as the criminal record of the President of C-JeS in assaulting/blackmailing an artist (of whom he was in charge of). Moreover, the exclusive contract declaratory judgment is still going on in Korea. Therefore, we have no other choice than to suspend the activities of JJY until these are settled.

In spite of the above circumstances, ZAK Corp and C-JeS have in their joint names, and, as ZAK Corp by itself, have filed two provisional dispositions against our company to the Tokyo District Court, claiming that our company’s handlings have no legitimate basis.

Hereafter, our company will contend our legitimacy at the judicature.

Our company does not think that the JJY members themselves are aware of everything that is happening.
Our company wishes that the JYJ members will understand the situation correctly and the real intention of our company.
Additionally, as we have been consistently commenting, our company long for the day where the compliance and legal problems in Korea will be resolved, and that our company can once again manage JJY. Furthermore, to resume the artists’ activities as Tohoshinki . We will do our best in the future.

For the fans who support JJY, we understand that we are making all of you worry.
We appreciate your kind understanding on the above.

Editors Note The article entitled Letter of Almost…

Editors Note:

The article entitled Letter of (Almost Resignation) Final Confessions, Part 3 written by Jimmie Kim, who is affiliated with the JYJFiles, is an interesting one. You will find it on this website.

There are several key points in this article that are valid and I believe that you can note those as you read. I will address a statement that was made that I believe needs clarification. The reference was to English-speaking websites that view JYJ and other K-Pop singers/dancers as sex objects. I understand the reference and will go on record as saying that ,yes, this does exist, but does not exist across the board. There are many sites that exhibit respect for Korean artists and Korea as a nation. This site is an example.

I personally do have a sense of honor, and I will address issues of sensuality or sexuality as they occur. One example would be the recent choreography to “Before You Go” by HoMin/TVXQ. This is a beautiful song–but the choreography is embarrassing ,and ,in my opinion, over the top. This is not new. The original TVXQ had torchy choreography and lyrics over time as well. This is a result of the demands of the industry, but also just facing a fact of life–these artists are young people with hormones. Pure and simple.
That doesn’t make them bad people–it simply showcases their humanness.

Where the dilemma lies is in the fact that companies and artists can refuse to go there. They can choose to keep their gestures, choreography, and intentions pure for the public.. Would this make sales drop? Perhaps–because some fans are motivated by outside admiration only. The artists become objects of desire and their worth as human beings deserving respect is diminished. However, it is also possible that adhering to moral principles can also attract a different type of fan. One who is motivated by the music, talent, and inner personality of the artists involved. This is where I live.

I choose not to buy objectionable material, but I also choose to give the artist room to grow. I am a praying person, and I choose to pray for them, not to judge them. I make mistakes every day. I cannot judge others, but I can pray that they will respect themselves as well as the fans. I also pray that the fans will respect themselves and subsequently relay the message to the artists.

I have a love for JYJ, HoMin and other artists as well that transcends their stage personalities. I am more interested in their personalities off stage than on.

So–what I am saying here? As people we have to decide whether we have a moral code that governs our actions, especially in the public view. This dilemma extends to many entertainment areas including Hollywood, Bollywood, and other industries like it. If the fandom did not support or demand that the artists sing, dance, act, or perform erotically, perhaps it would not be as prevalent a phenomena in the industry as it presently is. I agree that there is abuse, lack of respect, and lack of sensitivity for artists. The question is how do we solve this social dliemma? Momma Cha

It is always so exciting to see our mancubs working hard at what they love best–music and dancing. The mancub’s reference btw is from Junglebook. I have always loved the character of Mowgli. He is strong and resourceful, and willing to learn new things. That is how I see our guys.
Even though they also act in dramas and do photoshoots and etc, I believe that their hearts are always in their music and dance, and that is where they feel most fulfilled. I am the same.
