[Trans] 111213 Yunho Splatters Milk On Changmin, Pushes Blame To Milk Tea Shakers

[Trans] 111213 Yunho Splatters Milk On Changmin, Pushes Blame To Milk Tea Shakers

After anticipating for 3 years, Korean band TVXQ held their fan party at Taiwan. Fans were still as passionate although the group was left with only Yunho and Changmin performing on stage.

Yunho started doing some tricks as the duo were on stage shaking bubble tea, accidentally causing some milk to be splattered onto Changmin.

The duo complimented each other on being manlier during the 3 years. Changmin appeared on stage in a deep V suit, displaying his chest lines. Yunho said shyly, “recently, many people have said that my expressions have become deeper.” The host then asked him to electrify fans with his eyes, causing fans to scream, and Changmin said jokingly, “my liver conditions have improved.”

The both of them loves drinking Taiwan’s bubble milk tea, hence the organisers arranged for the duo to shake “double Q milk tea”, signifying that with the “mixing” of Yunho and Changmin, the duo has gained better rapport.

As Yunho tried to do some tricks with the shaking of the milk tea, he accidentally splattered some milk tea onto Changmin; after which, he said jokingly that the shakers were a defect when he couldn’t open the cover. Even then, having a sweet tooth, he still drank up the milk tea in big gulps.

TVXQ continued activities as a duo, and Yunho and Changmin have performances practices during Christmas, Changmin said, “I will listen to Christmas carols back home.” As fans were worried that he might be lonely, he said jokingly, “ah…life.”

111216 So, How ‘Bout Them Mama’s? ~Myndless~

So, How ‘Bout Them MAMAs?

Before I begin this post, know that I am also a crazy fangirl in some ways.  ^_^  But…

Ugh…never have I seen so much crazy mess that is an award ceremony.  From the day the polls opened up for voting to the time of the actual award giving, things were just crazy.  But just to make things clear, I didn’t really pay much attention to it all.  So I really shouldn’t be saying anything about it.  But since my Twitter list is 90% Kpop related, I was still a part of it.

In the beginning, I wasn’t really opting to vote.  I kept hearing who the nominees were for certain categories and such.  HoMin were nominated for a few as well as Super Junior, B2ST, and several other groups I like.  So, the main reason I didn’t want to vote was because of that: too many of my favorite groups.  But then there was also the fact that I was a little sad that JYJ was once again absent from the list.  Everyday was like one of those voting campaigns for presidential elections you’d see on television.  Fans of various groups had also found ways to boost up the voting results of their groups by making several voting accounts.  To me, I kinda felt that was wrong.  It felt like cheating.  Like fans were doing it just for the sake of the award rather than thinking about if they really deserve it.  Eventually, I did come around to voting, but I wasn’t going to vote for just HoMin or just Super Junior in all categories they were nominated for.  I actually went and looked up some of the other nominated artists and the songs that they were nominated for.  But I only voted ONCE.  That was it.  The rest of the time, I watched as others made various accounts to vote.  I was pretty much ready for it to be over really.  ^^;;

Then, just yesterday (on my side of the world).  Voting had ended and the award ceremony was held…in Singapore.  But it was live streamed as well.  I didn’t watch it because it was during my sleeping hours.  XD  But when I woke up…the reactions were just…  @_@  Cassiopeia was upset because HoMin didn’t win anything.  And I was okay with that.  They’ve won so many awards in the past.  I’m sure Yunho and Changmin were like: “Ah~ No awards this year.  That’s okay though.  We did our best.”  But if all five were there, I’m sure it would’ve been an almost all-kill.  It just goes to show that anything that was once full and becomes divided doesn’t stand a good chance.  Kind of like the slogan I kept hearing while in school.  “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”.  So…what does that tell us, Cassies?  Anyway, I believe E.L.F.s were upset because they didn’t win a certain award.  Again.  Nothing to worry about.  I think Super Junior did well this year too.  And I think they won an award anyway, so I’m cool with it.  I’m not sure why BlackJacks (2NE1’s fans) were upset though.  Either way, many fandoms were butthurt that evening.

Now…I know that there are some things that I do get upset about in my fangirl life.  Most of it being whenever my biases are said to be in relationships and stuff or when things between JYJ and HoMin stans flare up.  But when it comes to awards…I’m cool with it.  HoMin may not have won any awards, but look at our situation.  And heck, neither JYJ or HoMin are nominated for the Golden Disk Awards.  My theory is because they know how us Cassies are.  ^^;;  But whatever, TVXQ (all five members of course) are still stars in my eyes.  No need for an award.  Just keep on truckin’ towards reunification.  To the artists that won an award, I congradualate you~!

I know I may sound like a bitter fan or some meanie that just stole your lunch money, but doesn’t some of my words have at least some truth or sense to them?  As one of my fellow Cassie friends has said…I am a thinking fan.  There are lots of things I think about that deal with how this fandom is and how I wish it was.  So, as usual, I apologize for stepping on some toes.  Now…onto my next post!

Translation 111212 President Magazine: TVXQ–Discussing The Secrets of Success from Their Perspective as Koreans

[TRANS] 111212 PRESIDENT Magazine : Tohoshinki – Discussing The Secrets Of Success From Their Perspective As Koreans

Tohoshinki is an immensely popular group from Korea, formed by Yunho and Changmin, which has taken Asia by storm. Unlike (using) what is known as K-pop, they carried out activities steadfastly in Japan as a member of the J-pop community. They will be appearing for the 3rd time,  in the 2011 year-end Kohaku Uta Gassen. We asked the two about the secrets of their successes in a foreign country with a different language.

Changmin: I can only speak from our own experiences, but I think it’s very important to always have the passion of “I’m representing my own country, let’s work hard even if its a foreign land,” determination and a professional attitude. I think this would apply to businessmen as well. Although it’s quite embarrassing to express this in words, we’ve always been very conscious of the image we portray, and set high expectations for ourselves and to work hard towards our own standards of what ‘charismatic’ is. To me, “Compared to words, expressing oneself through actions is more charismatic,”so I feel that there is a need to work towards (creating) a better stage, towards a higher goal…

Yunho: But once we’re off the stage, we are very ordinary guys. There are times when we space out, and aren’t that charismatic. It’s precisely because we can regulate our moods and pressures suitably, that we are able to maintain our intensity and focus on stage. Perhaps it’s precisely because we are just a little unreliable in private, that allows us to do our jobs successfully. The real Changmin is occasionally such a romantic that I feel touched by him.

Changmin: Yunho is a pure, mischievous child (laughs). Normally, he does not have any of the wildness that he portrays on stage, and has many childish sides (to him). But as children, we watched Korean drama serials that had ideologies such as “Men must treat women in a gentle way” and “Ladies’ first is a given.” Korean women have similar expectations towards the men. So after they start dating, they would have to celebrate the 100th day anniversaries, and prepare for a lot of events that are not celebrated in Japan. Korean guys, including us, all have an ‘ideal guy’ in our hearts that is different from how we are in our actual lives.

Yunho: Compared to Japan, I think that Korea has much higher expectations towards men. So when we first came to Japan, I was puzzled as to why there were so many reserved females in Japan. But recently, after seeing the females among the staff, there have also been instances that have changed my perspective. (Now) I think, “Ah, no matter what country it is, it’s all the same, there are all types of people.”

Changmin: Saying such things will get you into trouble with the female staff…

Yunho: I was joking! But regardless if it’s the fans or the females around me, as long as you have expectations of me, I want to do my best to fulfill them. Although I can’t say that all Korean men are like this, this is the way we do things.

Changmin: Before we made our debut in Japan, because we were very insecure about whether we would be accepted by the Japanese audience, so we first worked hard at studying the Japanese language and culture. In order to gain recognition in a country with a different culture, you need to first understand that country. I guess this is the same in the business world. So I think the Tohoshinki now is a group that has the colours of Japanese culture which we worked so hard to learn, added on to the unique Korean characteristics that we originally had.

Yunho: I think the fans not only appreciate our performances, but are able to acutely sense the hard work that we have put in. Although this hard work isn’t  tangible, but I feel it has definitely been conveyed to everyone.

Changmin: Even if I do not feel well, even if I get injured, I do not want to compromise.

Yunho: In order to be loved by people, there is no other way but to work hard with everything you have. In order to face work in a natural manner, I think this is necessary.

Wisdom in books! 50 key words of success

Tohoshinki’s key word: ‘Growth’
It’s been a year since we’ve restarted activities. For us, next year will be a busier and more exciting year.
Next year, we will showcase even more mature sides of ourselves, and it would be good if we could bring energy to the Japan that has always supported us.
(We) want to fill the hearts of everyone in Japan with excitement and anticipation.
We ourselves are also looking forward to the “Tohoshinki of 2012″ that never stops growing. It’s a very unbelievable feeling.

Translation 111213 Go Ara Stars in Movie “Papa”, Says BoA and TVXQ Taught Me English and Dance

TRANS] 111213 Go Ara Stars In Movie “Papa”, Says “BoA And TVXQ Taught Me English And Dance”

Korean movie “Papa” is about Chunseob (Park Yong Woo), a manager who goes to America in search of a junior manager who ran away with a singer. He then finds himself in an unexpected contract marriage which results in the birth of six children.

Go Ara plays the role of Chunseob eldest daugher, Jun, who posesses good singing ability, and becomes a star in the US. Ara said, “For about 2 months prior to filming, I practiced dance, the guitar and singing,” and “(prior to debut) I had trained with 2 members of Girls’ Generation, so that experience was useful in the filming of the movie.”

Labelmates BoA and Yunho of TVXQ from SM Entertainment, gave her dance and acting advice. “BoA came to the filming site to teach me English. Also, ‘masculine’ dancing was required in the film, so it was not easy to do. I met Yunho in the office once or twice, and he helped to check my dance, telling me ‘You must put in your utmost effort.’ “

TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin arrived at Songshan Airport today at 11.15am, and caused another Hallyu explosion. Despite the rainy weather and low temperature of around 10 degrees, hundreds of fans were gathered within and outside the airport, showing that TVXQ’s charm is truly indomitable. The fans who spent a long time waiting for Yunho and Changmin to appear, would randomly practice their cheers. Even with the cold spell, Songshan Airport remained feverishly passionate!

Accompanied by thousands of cheers, Yunho and Changmin finally appeared. With their tall figures, wearing sunglasses, and dressed in black, and in the latest Korean student fashion style. In an instant, the media and fans swarmed towards them, practically crippling  Songshan airport, and the two men, ushered by the security personnel, walked slowly towards and boarded their vehicle, leaving their exhilarated fans. Despite former TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu forming a new group due to contractual issues, their hallyu power was not diminished, and fans continued to follow them wildly.

Ever since the “It’s been a while, How are you?” video clip suddenly appeared, leading everyone to wonder if TVXQ would be coming to Taiwan to meet the fans, and truly, after 3 years, this afternoon TVXQ blitzed their way into Taiwan, and will be holding their fan meeting tomorrow. This event titled “Fan Party 2011 in Taiwan” will see Yunho and Changmin challenging the extreme of two performances in one day. This is a tough challenge on their stamina and spirit, so fans must prepare to clear their throats and use their screams as a show of support!

Translation 111210 Interview With TVXQ: “In Private, We Are Much Like Normal People

[TRANS] 111210 Interview With TVXQ : “In Private, We Are Very Much Like Normal People”

After going through contractual issues and switching from a 5-man group to a 2 man group, the TVXQ appeared in Shanghai for their fan meeting  for the first time with their new grouping. On the afternoon of 9 December, Yunho and Changmin did an interview with ent.163.com. When talking about the recording of their Japanese album, Changmin laughed and said that there was a portion of the recording that required whistling, which he insisted on Yunho doing despite Yunho not being able to do it very well. When talking about their private lives which fans are very concerned about, Yunho and Changmin expressed, “In private, when we don’t have too many activities, we listen to music, watch movies and meet up with friends, very much like a normal person. “

Q: What is the difference between performing in Europe/America and Asia?

TVXQ: It’s the same in both Asia as well as Europe/America, no matter where we are, we can feel the passion and love from the fans, which is surprising to us.

Q: When recording the Japanese album “TONE,” were there any interesting episodes?

TVXQ: In our new album, there is a song called “Easy Mind,” and this song includes a portion where Yunho is whistling. Actually, he isn’t very good at whistling, but we insisted on him doing the whistling. This is one of the more meaningful moments that we remember.

Q: The style of this new album is more mature, and has more variety?

TVXQ: As this is a new album that we released after a long time, so there were many people that were very concerned about the album. We are thankful for everybody’s care and concern, and thank them for their support.

Q: Changmin, will you consider composing songs (T/N : vs writing lyrics) in the future?

TVXQ (Changmin) : So far, I haven’t really thought about writing songs, and maybe I just don’t have the talent for composing, so I feel more inclined towards developing in the area of lyric-writing.

Q: Yunho, do you have plans to compose or write lyrics?

TVXQ (Yunho) : Previously, during TVXQ concerts pr SMTown concerts, I’ve performed songs that I composed and wrote myself, so if there is chance and a good song, I hope that I will be able to include it in an album.

Q: What do the Chinese fans mean to you?

TVXQ: Although there isn’t much of a difference between fans in various countries, but they feel something special towards the Chinese fans, and the Chinese fans are always the first to ask after us whenever something happens, so we hope that in the future, fans can continue to show us their love and support.

Q: How are you like in private?

TVXQ: When we don’t have much to do, we listen to music, watch movies, and meet up with friends, very much like a normal person.

[TRANS] 111211 JYJ Kim Jaejoong, China Solo Fan Meeting Concludes Successfully! 1,000 Fans Show Their Support Outside The Location

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong has once again displayed his long-standing popularity.

On 10 December, Kim Jaejoong held his solo fan meeting at the Shanghai International Gymnastics Center. This fan meeting was organized to thank the fans for their show of love for the SBS drama “Protect the Boss,” and all 4,000 seats for this event were snapped up once ticketing opened, showing the high interest level for this event.

Kim Jaejoong arrived in China via Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport, and made formal preparations for his fan meeting. This day, over 1,000 fans were gathered to welcome him at the airport, and on the day of the fan meeting itself, not only the 4,000 ticket holders, but about 1,000 fans who were unable to purchase tickets were gathered outside the event location to show their support, and his (Jaejoong’s) popularity could be visibly felt.

At the fan meeting. Kim Jaejoong revealed the behind-the-scene episodes that happened during his appearance in “Protect the Boss,” and also sang the drama OST song that he wrote, “I’ll Protect You.” Aside from this, there was a question and answer session where he selected and replied to questions that had been hand-written by the fans, and he personally made phone calls to fans which were selected by ballot. He also played “cham cham cham” at the event, with all games receiving a great response from the fans.

He said, “I know that there are many people who support me in China. I know that I can’t come here very often, and this is something that I always feel sorry about. However, having come here after a long while, I’m really thankful for the unchanging, passionate love that I have been given. In the future, I will work hard to become an even better actor, and a more charming singer.”

Management company C-JeS said, “Due to Kim Jaejoong’s popularity, “Protect the Boss” has done shockingly well in terms of overseas sales. Aside from China, many other parts of the world have been requesting for interviews and promotional activities.”

The organizer of this fanmeeting said, “Chinese fans did not watch the local broadcast (of “Protect the Boss”) but watched the drama online using SBS’s real time stream, their passion (for the show) evident. Prior to this, Kim Jaejoong was already very popular, and with the charm of his role as “Cha Mu Won,” his popularity exploded. We were surprised that over 1,000 fans who weren’t able to purchase tickets stood outside the location in the freezing cold to show their support.”
