JYJ’s member and actor Park Yoochun demonstrated his prowess as a Hallyu star.

SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Rooftop Prince”, which Park Yoochun stars in, held its press conference on the afternoon of 5 March. The press conference venue, the Crystal Ballroom of Lotte Hotel in Jamshil, Seoul, was surrounded with “Support Rice Wreaths” sent by over a thousand fans from 30 countries, amounting to 11.5 tonnes. 11.5 tonnes of rice is enough to feed more than 100,000 children with malnutrition, and is a highest weight recorded for rice wreaths for a drama press conference, for any individual activity, as well as for Yoochun himself.

Meanwhile, Park Yoochun, who will be returning to television screens with “Rooftop Prince” that begins broadcasting on 14 March, will be participating in JYJ’s South American concerts held on 9 and 11 March in Chile and Peru. In response to this, (Yoochun’s) management company expressed, “Park Yoochun has finished filming all his parts for the broadcast of “Rooftop Prince” up to the date which his schedule for the South American concerts ends. Thus, there will not be any problems with the broadcast schedule.”

JYJ’s Park Yoochun revealed that he’s unfazed by the Kim Soo Hyun comparisons he’s been receiving lately for his royal family role in the upcoming SBS drama “Rooftop Prince.”

On March 5, Yoochun attended the press conference for “Rooftop Prince.” He opened up by saying, “I saw on the web that comparing ‘Rooftop Prince,’ ‘The King 2Hearts,’ and ‘The Equator Man.’ To be honest with you, I don’t really care much about it while filming the drama. Each of the drama has different genres, so I think the fans will like the comic side of ‘Rooftop Prince.’”

He was also asked about being compared to Kim Soo Hyun’s Lee Hwon character in MBC “The Moon That Embraces the Sun.” Yoochun said, “The TV ratings have been high for ‘The Moon That Embraces the Sun.’ I’m jealous of it. But honestly, there’s no pressure. I’m wishing for the drama’s success, but there’s no pressure on me personally.”

SBS drama “Rooftop Prince” is a fantasy romance about a Chosun-era prince time traveling to the future to find his past lover. Starring Yoochun, Han Ji Min, Lee Tae Sung, and Jun Yoo Mi, “Rooftop Prince” will air its first episode on March 14.

‘Rooftop Prince’, premiering on the 14th March, is about crown prince Lee Gak who time-travelled 300 years ahead in order to find his one true love and the incidents that happened.

After the last episode of “Take Care Of Us, Captain!” on the 1st, the drama started its official trailer with Lee Gak (Park Yoochun) shouting “Where is this place?!” and the way Park Yoochun ran, together with the standing stance of Park Yoochun and his courtiers attracted attention.

Especially when Park Yoochun intensely stared at the ramyun with him donning the imperial outfit and the head dress caught netizens’ attention. After which when Park Ha took out the ten thousand note, Park Yoochun and his courtiers knelt down, bowing while shouting “Your Highness!” upon seeing the King Sejong on the note. This made many burst out laughing.

Lastly, the teaser concluded with Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min’s commentary of “Living as though dead, dead as though still living, even after 300 years, I will still remember you.”

The production team expressed, “There have been a lot of fan-made graphics and videos recently, thus we felt the popularity rising. After the teaser was released, we received great response online and therefore we will definitely give an interesting and good piece of work to everybody.”

JYJ’s Yoo Chun is always considerate of his fans.

On February 27, SBS TV reported that Yoo Chun never forgets to take care of his fans despite his busy schedule for his new drama series The Rooftop Prince.

Yoo Chun is also promoting JYJ’s documentary film The Day with Jae Joong and Jun Su at movie theaters while shooting the drama series.

On February 25, he even attended a fan signing for a franchise restaurant, for which he’s working as a model with Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee

Receiving the news that one of his fans opened the franchise, he willingly held the singing on the day of its first opening.

As the signing started, he signed autographs for his fans, asking their names and saying hello to them with a smiling face.

Yoo Chun also gave a sweet smile to his Korean, Chinese, and Japanese fans, who had waited for him since a day ago, and didn’t forget to leave some messages at the restaurant, wishing its prosperous future.

The crew of The Rooftop Prince say, “Yoo Chun is always being considerate of people around him although he is having a hectic schedule. Thanks to him, we believe that this drama series will be loved by a lot of people.”

Yoo Chun is playing the role of prince Lee Gak, who came to the present from the Joseon Dynasty period of 300 years ago, in The Rooftop Prince. The Rooftop Prince will start airing on March 14 after Please, Captain goes off the air.

Cast members for SBS’s series Rooftop Prince were recently released.

SBS opened an official website for the series and posted pictures of cast members. Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min’s close look is already drawing a lot of attention.

Besides Park and Han, the pictures feature other actors, including, Lee Tae Sung, Jung Yoo Mi, Jung Seok Won, and Lee Min Ho and they made people eagerly anticipate the series.

The series will start airing in March after the current airing series Please Captain. The series is a fantasy romantic drama about a crown prince Park Yoo Chun in Joseon Dynasty who goes on time travel to the 21st century Seoul.

Male actors, including Park, Jung, Lee and Choi Min Ho already earned the nickname ‘Flower Boys F4.’

 People responded: “I’m already looking forward to seeing the series.” “I can’t wait until March.” “Watching Flower Boys will be very fun.” “I will watch the series after The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
