[NEWS] 121116 Fans React Differently Toward JYJ Receiving A Commendation

People give heated reaction toward JYJ receiving a minister citation.

On November 15, JYJ received a commendation from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy at the opening ceremony for the Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2012. Their comprehensive activities in cultural industry were highly recognized.

JYJ said, “We were very glad to see many people loving our music and Korea through our concerts and expos. We humbly and gladly take the award and will try to pay you back with better performances.”

The group’s agency said, “The award can be viewed as the result of successfully advertising Hallyu culture through the world tour that visited 15 different cities around the world involving 210,000 fans and helping Japanese fans find a means to visit Korea by giving domestic performances and holding fan meetings and expos though we were given limited activities in Japan.”

Netizens gave various reactions at the news: “JYJ is awesome.” “The award practically proves JYJ’s popularity around the world.” However, some gave critical feedback: “There are other singer who contributed far more than JYJ. It’s kind of weird.” “Award other Hallyu stars with the commendation.”

[TRANS] JYJ Will Go To Japan To Attend Opening Ceremony of The Exhibition on the 15th

JYJ will depart for Japan to attend the official opening ceremony of the Korea-Japan Exchange Exhibition on the 15th.

JYJ, appointed last Sept 17 at the KOTRA headquarters, will start to do full-pledged activities as ambassadors for KBEE. Their first public activity is to take part in the 2012 KBEE on Nov 14-16 to be held in Osaka.

Despite their busy schedule, JYJ found the time to do their role as ambassadors. Kim Jaejoong is busy promoting his new movie “Jackal is Coming’ that will released on the 15th. Park Yoochun is busy filming for his drama ‘I miss you’. Kim Junsu is busy doing preparations for his Germany concert on the 30th.

JYJ will attend the opening ceremony together with singer Park Hyo Shin but JYJ will not participate in the K-pop congratulatory stage.

On the other hand, JYJ, as representative of the Hallyu wave, is planning to actively cooperate in order to promote to the youth a future-oriented image that can lead to a variety of Korea-Japan exchanges.

On the 12th, there were almost hundred of Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jaejoong who appeared at the entrance of Lotte Cinema. It was actually a mask event by Kim Jaejoong’s fansite to support the new movie.

On that day, the mask event was organised by Kim Jaejoong’s fansite Herose. There were fans from young students to pregnant lady and male fans above 30 years old. The gathering of the wide variety of fans’ age groups shows the high anticipation for the movie.

Before the movie started, the full house of viewers put on the promotional mask by Lotte Entertainment and took a photo. They then upload it onto ‘Code Name: Jackal’ event to support the move.

‘Code Name: Jackal’ is a comedy about a legendary killer (Song Ji Hyo) who kidnap the lady killer and star (Kim Jaejoong). It will be screening on the 15th November.

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong will be presenting his first commercial movie ‘Code Name: Jackal’ to audiences and yesterday (13th of November), he accepted our reporter’s interview and revealed his helplessness for ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’.

In the movie ‘Code Name: Jackal’, Kim Jaejoong acted as top star Choi Hyun who has to hide away from the killing antics of killer Bong Min Jung (Song Ji Hyo) and acted out a ‘real-fake Choi Hyun’ escapade. Kim Jaejoong expressed in the interview, “Just like in the movie where Choi Hyun has to act as fake Choi Hyun, there is a bogus Kim Jaejoong in real life too. Frequently at times when I am at home, there will be people who said, ‘Kim Jaejoong appeared. Kim Jaejoong is clubbing.’ There seems to be someone who is using my name and people always telling me that they saw someone looking very alike to me.”

Kim Jaejoong also revealed that even his good friends cannot differentiate the ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’ and the real him. He said, “There was once when I was at home and a friend sent me a message, asking me why did I pretend that I don’t know him/her. It was later that even my own close friends saw that person and thought that person was me. After my friends made a confirmation, they said that he really looked alike to me.” While saying the story of ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’, the real Kim Jaejoong helplessly smiled and said, “Looks like there is someone who really looks like me.”

‘Code Name: Jackal’ with actress Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jaejoong opens tomorrow on the 15th of November and it is rated PG-15.

[News] 121109 JYJ Members and Various Celebrities Attended VIP Movie Premiere of ‘Jackal Is Coming’, Shown Great Support for Kim JaeJoong

On 8th November, VIP movie premiere of ‘Jackal is Coming’, starring Kim Jae Joong and Song Ji Hyo, was held at Lotte Cinema Konkuk university in Seoul.
Many well-known celebrities were invited to the premiere, such as Kim Hyun Joong, Park Eun Hye, Kara’s Nicole, Nine Muses, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Ji Young and many more. Kim Jae Joong’s fellow JYJ members Kim JunSu and Park Yoo Chun were seen giving great support for Kim Jae Joong.
‘Jackal is Coming’ is a romantic comedy about a top star and a beautiful killer who tries to kill the star. The movie will be released on November 15.
