Park Yoochun recently became the model for a new product launched by a famous food brand, with his unique smile that catches the hearts of women, coupled with his humming along to the product name “Gismyun,” netizens who watched the ad said “You can’t help but want to buy it and eat it,” “Park Yoochun looks too sweet, let’s go buy ramyun” and other responses.

Aside from this, Park Yoochun has also appeared in an ad for a famous computer game, and is featured together with members Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu in a pharmaceutical ad, getting involved in various types of ads, proving that he is gaining a reasonable amount of attention in the advertising industry.

And the reason why Park Yoochun has been chosen for more solo ads in comparison to his fellow members, should be because of the healthy, gentle image which he possesses. Currently, there are quite a number of advertisers that wish for Park Yoochun to endorse their products, and although I can’t give an exact number on how many cases, there are definitely a large number of advertisement requests asking for him.”

The “3rd 2011 THE ASIA JEWELRY AWARDS” (Organised by Mucha) was held on 6 December in Seoul, and hallyu star Jang Geun Suk as well as former TVXQ member, the popular JYJ Kim Junsu both appeared on stage.

This year, Jang Geun Suk was awarded the “World Star” award, as the most active star in spreading knowledge about Korea to the world, and Kim Junsu was awarded the “K-Pop Superstar Award.” Both men went on stage at the same time to collect their awards and the image of this moment is truly a miraculous two-shot, not only to the fans of both men, but also to fans of the hallyu wave.

A two-shot of these two men has never been achieved in Japan, but this Jewelry show is expected to be held in Japan next year.

Jo Seung Woo and Kim Junsu(JYJ), who are known as the two musical actors with the greatest ticket power, don’t see themselves as rivals, but as a heartwarming pair of friends who support each other.

The two became a hot topic when they battled it out on stage with ‘Tears of Heaven’ and ‘Jekyll and Hyde’. But recently, Kim Junsu has been garnering much attention for attending Jo Seung Woo’s musical ‘Zorro’ and the VIP preview of his latest movie ‘Perfect Game’. Many were curious to know the relationship between the two musical actors because they had assumed the two stars didn’t know each other very well.

In a recent interview, Jo Seung Woo commented that Kim Junsu was a great junior actor and said, “I asked him to come see my movie, and he really showed up. Junsu said, ‘Hyung, I really enjoyed the movie,’ afterwards.“

A representative stated, “The two keep in touch and frequently exchange text messages. Jo Seung Woo takes care of Kim Junsu a lot as a fellow musical actor and it’s great to see him giving Kim Junsu advice on improving his acting. Though many think that the two are rivals in the musical industry, in reality, they’re just a senior and junior who support and take care of each other. Kim Junsu recently watched ‘Perfect Game’ and was so impressed by Jo Seung Woo’s acting that he’s been telling everyone around him to go watch the movie.“

In an interview with OSEN, Kim Junsu once expressed his deep respect for Jo Seung Woo as he said, “In my heart, I’ve always wanted to stand on one stage with Jo Seung Woo.”

Meanwhile, Jo Seung Woo’s new movie ‘Perfect Game’ was released on the 21st while Kim Junsu recently ended JYJ’s world tour that took place across 13 cities.

As reported on kpopfever.com previously, JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong will make a guest spot on a KBS radio program.

According to the production team of KBS radio ‘Choi Kang Hee’s Night Flight’, Kim Jaejoong’s guest spot will air on the midnight of the 25th.

Kim Jaejoong has already finished recording the show on the 22nd at KBS.

Kim Jaejoong made the guest appearance much in part due to the friendship he has developed with actress Choi Kang Hee, who he has starred in the SBS drama ‘Protect The Boss’. Another good friend from the drama actor Ji Sung has made the guest appearance on the same show.

As if to testament of their friendship, Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong came in outfits that looked very similar. Ji Sung came wearing a black jacket and Kim Jaejoong was wearing a black shirt. Both heartthrobs were in all black outfits.

During the pre-recording Choi Kang Hee complemented the two actors’ styles and Kim Jaejoong joked, “Ji Sung and I, we click really well. I want to win the best couple award with him in this year’s awards ceremony as the ‘Cha Cha’ couple”.

Kim Jaejoong also spoke about the kiss scene with actress Wang Ji Hye, “For the kiss scene with Wang Ji Hye, I kissed with everything I had in me. We took over 50 takes. If there is an award for the most NGs committed, then I pretty have that award locked”.

Philippines Reels From Typhoon’s Destruction and a Death Toll of 927 (Photos)

Typhoon Washi swept across the southern Philippines this weekend, washing away whole villages and killing 927 people, according to the latest estimates.

In a statement Monday, President Obama expressed condolences for “the tremendous loss of life and devastation” caused by flooding from the typhoon and said the United States stands ready to provide humanitarian assistance and recovery help.

Just last week, my colleague Elizabeth Flock asked whether 2011 was the year of natural disasters, with 12 disasters causing $1 billion or more in damage each in the United States alone, plus the Japanese earthquake, the Thailand flooding and the drought in Africa, among others.

The typhoon in the Philippines looks to enter the inauspicious list after the northern coast of the southern island of Mindanao was pounded for 12 hours with nonstop rainfall Friday. Of the 580 people who died in one city, Cagayan de Oro, the majority were women and children. The Associated Press reports: “About 143,000 people were affected in 13 southern and central provinces, including 45,000 who fled to evacuation centers. About 7,000 houses were swept away, destroyed or damaged, the Office of Civil Defense said.”

“The suffering here is unspeakable,” Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard J. Gordon told Bloomberg News from Iligan City, where he is helping oversee relief operations. “The government should act here very fast. The people have already suffered, and they’re making them suffer more.”
