The minute news of singer Kim Junsu’s world tour stop in New York at Hammerstein ballroom on the 30th of August was announced, fans all over the world were no longer able to hide their anticipation for it.

Challenging for the success of a first world tour as a Korean solo singer, plans for North and South America stops such as Mexico, Brazil and Chile were carried out. The first world tour stop in New York will be held at Hammerstein ballroom, where many artistes have performed before.

After news of the world tour was released, it caused craze from fans all over the world. South America’s representative said, “After the news of Kim Junsu’s tour was announced, it was immediately surrounded by South American fans and news of Kim Junsu’s tour have been going on for days. It is predicted that Korea would have an impact on South America after this tour.”

To this, Kim Junsu expressed, “I was recently in America for the production of my MV and single, and ticketing (matters). Regarding the product of the album this time, I am very satisfied from what I had expected.” He is also anticipating the meeting with his overseas fans.

JYJ Kim Junsu: Solo Album Released Under “Restrictions” Circumstances

His first album was seen as a protest against JYJ’s restriction. To this, Kim Junsu felt disheartened.

When JYJ, who used to be a part of TVXQ, was resolving their contract with SM Entertainment, their company filed for their restriction from appearing on any music programmes or performances. The court later on ruled against the filing, however it was said that due to SM Entertainment’s strong influence, Korean broadcasting companies had to “show some respect and gave in”. Though the filing for restriction was ruled as invalid, JYJ is still under restriction circumstances.

It has been 8 years since Kim Junsu debuted and when he released his solo album “Tarantallegra”, he continued to be absent from all music programmes, causing rumours of the “restrictions” once again.

 

He helplessly said, “It was not easy during the production. Especially under the circumstances knowing that I was not able to promote it on television programmes. Therefore I emphasized more on the vocal quality and MV filming. But what troubled me was that, the album was seen as me using my own energy to protest against certain issues.”

Though he was unable to escape from the rumours, his album was a big sell-out. His Asia tour tickets were selling fast and almost every stop was sold out. The 17000 tickets in Seoul was in fact sold out in 15 minutes.

JYJ Park Yoochun envied Kim Junsu’s solo album and expressed, “Looking at Junsu’s album, it’s as though my wish was fulfilled. I am proud of him and no one else can do it better than him. Therefore I want to thank him for making JYJ shine so brightly.”

[NEWS] Details on JYJ Junsu’s Upcoming Solo Repackaged Album Revealed

More details on JYJ Junsu‘s upcoming repackaged solo album have been revealed.

The singer is currently in Los Angeles working with a long list of top staff members to perfect his album to the best of his ability. C-JeS Entertainment stated, “Junsu is currently recording English songs for his world tour, and there are plans for him to begin recording a music video shortly.”

The representative continued, “We cannot yet release the song’s title and genre, but the album includes the participation of Sony Music‘s composer Bruce Automatic Vanderveer, who previously worked with the likes of Christina Aguilera, The Wanted, and Leona Lewis earlier this year.”

Composer Automatic expressed, “I was surprised by XIA, as he’s someone who truly sings from the heart. I thought we’d need two days for his recording process, but we really only needed one. Throughout the recording, I couldn’t help but be impressed by his skills. I’m really glad to be able to work with him.”

His music video will also be a collaboration with top names. Directed by Marc Klasfeld, who has experience producing for “We are Young“, which was a recent Billboard hit, along with Beyonce, Eminem, Jay-Z, and Far East Movement. He stated, “I was surprised when I saw XIA’s music video for ‘Tarantallegra’. His performance was amazing, as is the same with his facial expressions and acting. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Junsu himself expressed, “I earned a lot of confidence after releasing my worldwide album and going on a world tour. I feel that my confidence will build towards even better results. I’m glad that I’m working with such amazing people.”

His first solo repackaged album will be released mid-August. Junsu will then go on a world tour until October, which includes concerts in North and South America as well as Europe.

NEWS] JYJ’s Junsu to Hold A World Tour and Release a Repackaged Album!

 On July 16th, representatives from C-Jes Entertainment announced, “[JYJ‘s] Junsu, who is currently traveling on his Asia Tour, will also be holding a world tour in North America, South America, and Europe.”

After having released his first solo album and sweeping music charts across the continent of Asia, Junsu appears to be ready to meet his global audience. And not surprisingly so, since despite this being Junsu’s first time embarking on solo album activities, he has achieved great sales numbers even on charts abroad with his unique concept and 12 stylistically diverse songs.

CEO of C-JeS Entertainment Baek Chang Joo further expanded on Junsu’s success, saying, “Ever since Junsu’s first public performance, his solo album has not only captivated the country, but also a wide area of Asia as well; as we were, of course, targeting markets overseas, it seems we have produced a world class music video. The awaited results were extraordinary. During Junsu’s successful Asia tour, the number of love calls we received from areas such as North and South America would not stop flowing in, and thus we decided to launch a world tour.”

The CEO continued to reveal, “For this world tour, Junsu has put together and prepared a repackaged album. As this album will be targeting the world market, it will include an English single and a music video produced in America. Although we cannot further clarify our future plans, Junsu will be climbing the steps to fame in America.”

One of these American parties interested in JYJ’s Junsu commented, “There is great interest [and anticipation] for JYJ’s Junsu’s world tour success throughout America. The title song,“TARANTALLEGRA”, not only attempted to draw in interest via the K-Pop Wave, it created its own, unique sensation; the music video has gathered high marks from parties throughout America as well. It seems that, after promoting as a soloist and single-handedly holding a world tour, Junsu has demonstrated the global interest [he has gathered].”

It has been decided that Junsu’s upcoming world tour will include stops in 2-3 cities per continent. Currently, Junsu is still on his Asia tour, which started in Seoul, and is continuing throughout countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China. Next month, Junsu will be holding his final concert in Hong Kong.

Singer Kim Junsu will be starting his world tour as a solo singer. Representative C-JeS Entertainment expressed that, “Kim Junsu will be touring around North and South America and Europe with concerts at 2-3 cities of each continent.”

C-JeS said, “Kim Junsu’s solo album was not just sold domestically but was targeted at Asian market. The MV is also produced for overseas’ market. Right now the Asia tour is successfully being held, and the endless ‘love call’ from America and Europe resulted the decision in the world tour.”

“The repackaged album is also currently in the midst of preparation. The album this time is targeted at global market and there’s English song(s) included. The MV is also produced in America. Though it is not yet to be announced but there’s a famous US staff that is involved in it,” C-JeS expressed.

 The representative of North America expressed that, “The success of JYJ world tour has resulted in very high popularity of Kim Junsu (XIA).” The title song Tarantallegra is different from the typical K-pop and thus caused a sensation. The MV also received good reviews in America.”

Additionally, the Asia tour that started from Seoul, then Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, China etc, Kim Junsu will be concluding the Asia tour next month at Hongkong.

JYJ’s Kim Jun Su recently met musical writer Szilveszter Levay.

On the afternoon of July 11, Kim Jun Su tweeted a photo of himself and the musical writer with the caption, “Levay, I like you.”

In the photo, red-headed Kim strikes a pose with Szilveszter Levay making a v-sign. The teacher and the pupil look friendly.

Szilveszter Levay is a world-famous musical writer, who wrote musical Mozart and Elizabeth. Kim, who stared in both of the writer’s musical, must have a close friendship.
