[TRANS] 120112 For Now, Please Call JYJ “Actors”

After stopping musical and drama related activites for a while, members of popular idol group JYJ is now starting to take another step towards planning for activities related to acting. Park Yoochun has been selected as the male lead for the new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Prince of the Rooftop House” and concrete details on dates and the signing of the actual contract is expected to be completed by this weekend. (T/N: This may not be true since there are articles that refute this)

“Prince of the Rooftop House” is a romantic comedy about a prince from the Chosun era who lost his wife during a war, and travels through time to the modern world to look for love. This role is said to have been created with Park Yoochun in mind even from the planning stages.

Member Kim Jaejoong’s acting activities are easily comparable to Park Yoochun’s. He made his debut last year in SBS’s “Protect the Boss,” and has also received requests to appear in 2-3 dramas, and these have been put up for review and planning as part of his schedule for the first half part of this year.

While Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong focus on the silver screen, member Kim Junsu pulls the attention of the masses to the musical industry. Kim Junsu will be meeting the fans via “Elisabeth,” which will be playing in Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul starting from 8 February. He has been working hard daily in preparation for this first performance since the start of December last year.

These 3 men who are will be active in the drama and musical industries will be coming together as JYJ in March for the South American concert tours. They will be performing in Santiago, the capital of Chile on 9 March, and Lima, the capital of Peru on 11 March for the their first solo concerts. (in South America.)

[NEWS] 120110 K-Pop Stars To Tour Overseas In 2012

With seemingly unstoppable momentum, K-pop stars are advancing across the globe.

Many fans have asked the artists to visit their home countries through innovative methods like uploading flash mob videos online. Moved by these active and sincere requests, K-pop stars will hold concerts around the world and are planning additional gigs to accommodate the enthusiastic fans.

JYJ confirmed last week that it will hold its first concert in South America this year. The group is comprised of Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu, former members of one of Korea’s most popular boy bands, TVXQ. On March 9, the trio will perform at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile. World famous bands such as X-Japan and Korn have previously performed at the venue. In November, JYJ will travel to the capital of Peru, Lima, and perform at Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental, the second largest football stadium on the continent. The stadium had been a concert stage for Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, and Avril Lavigne.

They gained popularity in South America after releasing the English album “The Beginning” in 2010 which included tracks produced by Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins. Many local newspapers and TV channels in Chile have publicized the news of the upcoming concert.

TVXQ has also planned additional performances due to fan requests. Originally, “TVXQ Live Tour 2012 ~TONE~” was set to commence at Yokohama Arena in Japan on Jan. 18 and tour nine cities including, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Hiroshima and Osaka, and present 20 shows until the end of March. However, local fans pleaded for more shows, and SM Entertainment announced Friday that it will add extra concerts to the tour schedule. The band will add two shows each at the Tokyo Dome, a 55,000-seat baseball stadium in the capital of Japan and the equally large Kyocera Dome in Osaka. The extended tour will present 24 shows in 11 cities and last until the end of April.

On January 7th, Jaejoong posted on Twitter, “If you want to get younger, you should take lots of selcas,” along with a photo of himself sticking out his tongue and slightly biting it.

Later, he also posted, “I uploaded this because it’s very funny. I hope that I can keep posting photos like this in the future,” along with a different photo. This photo revealed Jaejoong with marker drawings on his face while Park Yoochun is seen in the background holding a marker and with a chic look on his face. Junsu’s face was slightly blurred out but the fact that Yoochun was trying to cover his smile brought attention to him.

Netizens stated, “This is really great,” “They look great even when their image is ruined,” “These mischievous people,” along with other warm responses.

[INFO-PETITION] Korean Broadcasting System: Allow JYJ to air and participate on KBS programs!

[INFO-PETITION] Korean Broadcasting System: Allow JYJ to air and participate on KBS programs!

Allow the kpop group, JYJ air on KBS and music programs on KBS

JYJ, 3 former members of TVXQ/DBSK, has been the denied the oppurtunites to perform on music programs and even participate in award nominations. This occurs only because SM Entertainment and other have kept hostility toward JYJ, thus threatening to pull SM’s own artists out of programs and performances in revolt. Others have said excuses that they do not have official albums thus they cannot perform. Even if JYJ has topped charts and album sales without promotions, it is still absurd.

SIGN THE PETITION!
