JYJ’s Junsu excited 4000 fans during the opening night of his Asia Tour in Thailand.

The first concert of the Asia Tour for Junsu’s solo album “XIA”, which opened at 6pm on 27 May at the Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, ended successfully.

On this day, Junsu presented dynamic performances beginning with the new track “Tarantallegra”, which was released on 15 May, followed by hit songs such as “Breath”, “Fever” and “Intoxication”, driving the audience wild. He also touched the fans with his overwhelming vocal abilities during the ballads including “You Are So Beautiful” and “Even Though I Know (알면서도)”.

The fans showed their enthusiasm as they sang along with all the songs which were released in Korean, and held placards which said things such as “XIA TIME” and “We’re always supporting you”. When Junsu sang the encore song “Fallen Leaves”, he was moved to tears, and said, “I am happy to be able to begin the Asia Tour this way. To everyone who has given me your support you, I thank you from my heart.”

On 28 May, Junsu’s management agency said, “The first concert, which parks the start of the 60-day Asia Tour, ended successfully. Although there have not been any appearances on television programmes or other promotional activities, the response for the new album has been good. We think it reflects Junsu’s power.”

Junsu is scheduled to continue holding his first solo album Asia Tour with a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia on 16 June.

[NEWS] JYJ Junsu & JUNO, Brothers Rank On Oricon Top 10 At The Same Time

[NEWS] 120528 JYJ Junsu & JUNO, Brothers Rank On Oricon Top 10 At The Same Time

JYJ member Junsu and his older brother JUNO were both ranked side by side in the Oricon Top 10.

As of 24 May, on the latest Oricon album rankings, (Week of 28 May, data from 14-20 May), Junsu’s first solo album “Tarantallegra” which was released on 20th in Japan was ranked at number 9. For JUNO, his single “Everything” which was on sale 16 May was ranked at no. 10 on the singles ranking.

Recently, it doesn’t seem to be too difficult for Korean singers (Groups) to rank on the top 10 of Oricon at the same time. However, it is unusual for brothers to both be ranked within the top 10 at the same time, so this result gained attention.

[TRANS] 120525 JYJ’s Yoochun, “Rooftop Prince” Is No.1 In Ratings For Wednesday-Thursday Dramas In The Final Episode

[TRANS] 120525 JYJ’s Yoochun, “Rooftop Prince” Is No.1 In Ratings For Wednesday-Thursday Dramas In The Final Episode

As the battle between the 3 broadcast stations come to a close, “Rooftop Prince” emerged victorious in the last round.

KBS2TV’s “The Equator Man” and MBC’s “The King2Hearts” as well as SBS’s “Rooftop Prince” started their broadcast on 21 March and ended on 24 May.

The ratings war for these dramas were intense. Initially, it was “The King2Hearts”. This drama started off with a viewership of 16.2%, with “Rooftop Prince” at 9.8% and “The Equator Man” at 7.7% ratings.

However, after just 2 weeks, the ratings gap between the 3 stations’ dramas became a lot closer, and the battle intensified. On 5 April, the 6th episode of “Rooftop Prince” hit ratings of 12.5%, overtaking “The King2Hearts” which recorded 12.1% to take the top position. But due to the goverment elections, both “Rooftop Prince” and “The King2Hearts” delayed their broadcast, and with only “The Equator Man” airing, it recorded ratings of 14.3% and caught up with the others.

“The Equator Man” managed to maintain its top position, aside for the day after the elections (12 April) when it was beaten by “Rooftop Prince”, till the last episode, but “Rooftop Prince” managed a dramatic comeback and took over the no. 1 spot for this final episode.

Editors Note: Episode 20 Rooftop Prince Ends…Sob…Sob…Sob…

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT’s

First of all, I personally think that “Rooftop Prince” would have been interesting as a Parallel Universe production–however, reincarnation was the theme [I can’t even imagine wanting to go through this again] so “ya gots what ya gots”.

This was an absolutely adorable drama. It started and ended with tragedy but hope is in the air. Yi Gak and Bak Ha [scratches head] or Tae Yong and Bak Ha manage to meet in the palace gardens. Tears and reunited love all around.

I guess my biggest accolade goes to the writer, who somehow managed to corral this complicated set of characters into submission. Even so, we lost numerous characters never to be seen again, but all in all–the main characters were managed well. I am still wondering what happened to Yong Tae Yong in the hospital–but I can only conclude that once Yi Gak died in Joseon–Tae Yong awakened and came to Bak Ha.

I guess the giggly fun part is watching the Flower Four put on their modern wear and consume omurice. They turned it into a business.

‘Rooftop Prince’ was a combination of the tragic, the ridiculous, true love, sacrifice, and reward–complete with baby-faced protagonists and antagonists.  Interestingly, I thought the answer to the riddle was a butterfly, that’s what I think they wanted us to believe–but it was the lotus flower.

This had a truly surprising ending. I hope that a sequel is planned. Wouldn’t that be great? Bak Ha and Tae Yong with cute plump babies at their feet who have their own time adventure with Mom and Dad. We’ll see.  😮

[News] 120524 JYJ’s Kim Jun Soo Starts Two Month Asian Tour

[News] 120524 JYJ’s Kim Jun Soo Starts Two Month Asian Tour

JYJ’s Kim Jun Soo will start his two month long Asian tour.

Kim will hold the concert ‘XIA 1st Asia Tour in Thailand’ in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 27 at 6:00 in the afternoon. This is the first concert he will hold while touring Asia.

Kim previously held a concert in Korea and thrilled over 15,000 people. He will meet about 4,000 people in Thailand.

Kim’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, says, “Tickets for his Thai concert sold out after only in 10 minutes. His unconventional music video is also receiving an explosive response. Since he held a successful concert in Korea, many Asian countries want to invite him to hold concerts.”

There are 3 big benefits for Kim’s Asia tour.

First, Kim will sing songs live so that people can listen to his talented singing skills.

Kim can sing very well while performing dance songs “Breath” and “Set Me Free,” which include intense choreography.

His emotional and sensational voice complements ballads, including, “Though I Already Know,” “I Don’t Like Love,” and “You are so Beautiful.”

Second, he will give unconventional performances.

Choreography for the title song “Tarantallegra” and “No Gain” was created by popular American choreographer Jeri Slaughter. As a result, the songs include high level and high edge choreography which is perfect for the songs.

Kim’s Asia tour will be another big present for Asian fans who haven’t had the chance to really meet Kim often.

He will also talk honestly about making his album and everyday life.

Kim will hold concerts in 7 cities, including Jakarta, and Indonesia, on June 16.
