The death of JYJ’s Park Yoochun and actor Park Yoohwan’s father has been reported.

Officials of C-jes entertainment company has commented, “The father of the two brothers Park Yoochun and Park Yoohwan, has passed away. We have been told that he was suffering from a chronic illness.”

Yoohwan was notified of this sad news while shooting for Channel A’s drama “Kpop Survival’, whilst Yoochun is currently returning home after holding a concert in Peru.

[News] 120313 JYJ Completes World Tour and Prepares For Second English Album

After successfully completing a year of their world tour, JYJ has revealed that they will now be focusing on their individual activities and the release of their second official English album in the second half of the year.

On March 13th, C-JeS Entertainment revealed that 6,000 fans showed up to watch JYJ perform in Peru. For over a week, fans had been camping outside the concert hall awaiting the boys’ arrival and their show. Their dreams were met for even after it was all over, they were reported to have been chanting for more.

For the past year, the boys have toured a total of 15 different cities and performed for a 210,000 member audience, completely selling out 12 of those cities and recording 80% higher ticketing rates than the average.

 CEO Baek Chang Joo expressed, “JYJ will be focusing on their album production and their individual activities for now. In the second half of the year, they will release a second English album.”

He continued, “This world tour was possible only because it was JYJ. Their popularity is great enough to be able to open a concert anywhere in the world. Through this, they earned confidence and know-how, which is one of the many reasons why I’m looking forward to their world tour next year.”

[Trans] 120310 Tohoshinki Held Free Live Viewings At Disaster-Stricken Areas A Year After The Earthquake

Tohoshinki, who are currently holding their nation-wide tour “Tohoshinki LIVE TOUR 2012 ～TONE～”, with 26 concerts in 11 venues, held a free live viewing of the Fukui Sundome concert on 10 March (Saturday) for the residents of three areas in the Tohoku region which were hit by the disaster.

A year since the Tohoku Earthquake, in which many Tohoshinki fans were also affected by, these live viewings were decided as (Tohoshinki) wanted to bring smiles and strength to the victims of this disaster, even if it was just one person.

The live viewings were held at 5 cinemas in the Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture. 2000 people from these three prefectures, including fanclub members residing there and students in the disaster areas, were invited to the viewings for free.

The duo shouted, “Everyone in the Tohoku region, let’s get excited together!”, and showcased powerful stages including their new single “Still”, which will be released on 14 March, as well as “The Way U Are”, which was specially prepared for this day. During the encore, they had happy expressions on their faces as they said, “I feel deeply connected to everyone in the Tohoku region,” and “We would be happy if today’s live managed to bring you laughter, no matter how little,” captivating over 17,000 audiences over the 2 days.

At the cinemas, red penlights were distributed to the viewers as they entered and they enjoyed the concert, singing and waving their penlights along with the songs.

On March 11th, 2012, Shim Changmin’s grandmother passed away. We are very sad because we know that Changmin dearly loved his grandmother. Changmin arrived in Korea without Yunho to be with his family at this time of mourning. Our prayers are with Changmin and his family at this time of bereavement. The members of the South Korean k-pop group expressed their excitement about performing in Lima and promised to come back to visit Peru.

After creating a stir among their Peruvian fans, who recieved them in happy tears and screams, the Korean boys, Jaejoong, Yoochun y Junsu, members of the k-pop group, JYJ, thanked their fans and promised to come back to Peru.

“We are very excited by the reception we got from the fans, and for being able to sing here”. They stated this at the press conference they offered after greeting the fans, who waited for them outside of the Marriot hotel in Miraflores.

They also expressed they feel a big responsibility, being the first Korean group that comes to perform at Peru, and they hope they can provide a performance in line with the expectations.
