JYJ Kim Jaejoong revealed his way to battle the harsh summer heat.

Yesterday, Kim Jaejoong was in an outdoor filming site for ‘Dr Jin’ and completed a fighting scene under the 36 degrees summer sky.

In the drama as a Major, Kim Jaejoong had to don an outfit that is suffocating, together with wrist and knee guards and then perfectly executed the long-hours of fighting scene.

Drama representative expressed that, “Because Kyung Tak is a military officer, therefore just the rehearsal between the action actors of the fighting scene took 1-2 hours to complete. For the realistic scene, filming has to be done from different angles again, therefore a fight scene will take a long time to film.” “Just by standing, one can feel the tiredness. Under such weather, Kim Jaejoong personally took note of the fighting route and did not used any substitute action actor and perfectly completed the fighting scene.”

 Kim Jaejoong’s representative C-JeS Entertainment expressed, “Kim Jaejoong is currently donning the historical outfit with his hairdo, fighting with the harsh summer heat.” “The car is loaded with a icebox filled with ice and he had a ice bag with him all the time. Together with the huge fan and mini electric fan, but all these are only temporary measures.”

 No matter where, the mini umbrella tent will be set up for shielding from the sun. Kim Jaejong who is wearing two singlets that helped in perspiration absorption and applying cool sheets on himself, said, “Just a few sword wielding action is enough to make me drenched in perspiration. But it actually helped me in getting the feel of fighting. A blessing in disguise.” “As the fighting scene is very important for expressing Kyung Tak’s emotions, I forgot about the heat after I focused on the filming.”

‘Dr Jin’ will be airing its last two episodes this weekend.

120731 Confusion Reigns in Dr. Jin Land Episodes 19 and 20

          Well, Mr. Kim Kyung Tak aka Kim Jaejoong–what’s going down? Confusion for you as well as the rest of us is the operative [no pun intended] phrase here. As you are functioning as a double-agent, you seem to be reserving certain information for one side or the other. Your father is on to you now as well as Young Hwi. You answered Young Hwi’s query a bit too blithely. Consequently, they aren’t too sure whether to believe what you say, and you’re not sure of them either. The problem is–we can’t determine your true intentions, either.  Personally, I would consider you a babo to desert your friends, because I am convinced that the Left State Minister hasn’t a clue as to what love really is–and your friends do.

At present, you have continually carried out your father’s evil orders–albeit somewhat reluctantly, I’ll give you that.  There has to come a time and a place when you must make a firm decision to either help to usher in a new age for Chosun, admittedly at the expense of your own family’s status and rule, or cling to the bloody, conniving ways of the men in your family who up front admit to using you, despite your ‘inferiority’, to commit henious crimes in the name of justice. 

What I do not want to see is your failure to obtain anything of merit for yourself or for your friends due to lack of fortitude and lack of commitment  to the common good. How do you sleep at night after butchering innocent people? People have a right to be free and to make decisions for themselves, and that arguably can mean to choose, in this case, the traditional ways, or choose to begin ushering in a new age.

I have grown to love you as a character, Kim Kyung Tak, and I want so much for you. Recognition, legitimacy, respect, and more. I am hoping for a good woman to love you, share your life, and bear children for you. I want the same for Dr. Jin. Will this be possible writers? I’m not sure on this one. What I am sure of is an interesting, people dying thither and yon, heart-wrenching end to this historical drama. Great job, Everyone.

[NEWS] 120730 The ending of ‘Doctor’ Jin will depend on Jae Joong’s decision

Viewers of Doctor Jin are now paying attention to the decision Jae Joong will make in the last episode.

In MBC TV’s drama series Doctor Jin, Kyung Tak (played by Jae Joong) has reached a crossroad where he has to decide to choose his family or his love and friendship.

In the 18th episode, which aired on July 22, Kyung Tak becomes a double spy to protect his father Byung Hee (played by Kim Eung Soo). However, after getting advice from his best friend Young Hwi (played by Jin Yi Han) and finding out that his old lover Young Rae (played by Park Min Young) is facing death because of the religious persecution of Catholicism, he also tries to save both. 

A spokesperson for the series says, “Kyung Tak is the most important person for Ha Eung and Byung Hee who are in confrontation with each other, and he’s also a person who has no political ambitions.”

Viewers reacted: “I feel so sad because of Kyung Tak. He’s just being used by everyone.” “I think Doctor Jin needs to cure Kyung Tak’s confused mind first.” “I want to go back to the past to save Kyung Tak.” “All Kyung Tak needs is someone’s sincere love. I’m so sad.”

The spokesperson also says, “What’s really attractive about this series is that viewers can imagine what would happen if they could change the history or what decision they would make if they were in the old days. Because the viewers can feel the concerns and pain of the time by watching Kyung Tak’s confusing situations, they’re immersed in Kyung Tak’s emotion.”

In MBC ‘Dr Jin’, the friendship between police bureau officer Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jaejoong) and his childhood friend Hong Young Hwi (Jin Yi Han) has caused a development in the drama plot. Both are smart and has outstanding martial arts ability, but the friendship between them is one of the most attractive point of the drama. The strong friendship between “KyungHwi Couple” is comparable to lovers in love.

In the drama, Kyung Tak had a marriage engagement Young Hwi’s sister Young Rae (Park Min Young) and the “KyungHwi Couple” happy moment that happened when the three of them were fooling around on the streets, was pointed out by viewers to be one of the best scene. In this scene, Young Hwi held on to Kyung Tak’s hand while Kyung Tak mistook the hand that he was holding on to was Young Rae’s and thus smiling away happily. This scene spiked the viewers’ love for “KyungHwi Couple”.

 However the cute “KyungHwi Couple” began to caught up in turmoil when Young Hwi, as a Anonymous member, tried to assasinate Kyung Tak’s father who is Andong Kim clan’s leader. In order to protect his father, Kyung Tak had to be in opposition satnce with Young Hwi. The turning of a pair of childhood friends into enemies made viewers felt sorry.

To this, a representative expressed, “The friendship between men can be stronger than the love between lovers. No matter how cruel their opposite stance remains, they are still very concerned with each other. These feelings were naturally revealed through the natural acting of the actors. This is also why the viewers are able to be indulged with the storyline and the love for this couple.”

SBS TV’s Protect the Boss,which stars JYJ’s Jae Joong, is currently very popular in Japan.

Protect the Boss, which aired in Korea last summer, is currently airing on TBS, the biggest private TV channel in Japan. The series attracted a lot of attention when it was once introduced on KNTV and DATV, paid satellite channels in Japan.

A special DVD of the series, which will be released on November 28, also topped the DVD chart of the HMV Chart, the Amazon Chart, and the Rakuten Chart in Japan

The reason for the DVD’s high popularity is Jae Joong’s Korean narration in the DVD. Jae Joong explains how important scenes were shot, tells behind-the-scenes stories about the shooting of the series, and introduces special scenes of himself singing and acting for about 180 to 240 minutes.

[News] 120727 JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun Will Tour Asia

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun will go on an Asia tour to hold fan meetings.

On July 27, Park’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, said, “Park will hold his fan meetings in Shanghai, China on August 25 and in Taiwan and Thailand.”

Since Park has become a beloved Hallyu star in Asia after appearing on the TV series Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Miss Ripley, and Rooftop Prince, he decided to meet his Asian fans while touring.

Park says, “Thank you very much for supporting me and I think I will have a lot of fun with with many Asian fans through the fan meetings. I’m happy to talk about the characters that I played in the TV series.”

According to the agency, they will maybe hold additional fan meetings in one or two other countries.

There is reference in Time Slip Dr. Jin to the persecution of Catholics during the time of the Joseon Dynasty Period. We can see this being acted out on the screen as we watch this intriquing drama unfold. The reference cannot be over-looked because it is based on historical fact. Even the Priest, Father Simeon-Francois Beneux, who is being helped by Young Rae and Dr.Jin in Episode 18, is a real historical character. He and many other Catholics were martyred in 1866 during one of the toughest crack-downs on the Catholic believers in the history of Korea.

 ‘Time Slip Dr.Jin” is not a light drama. It is full of thought-provoking situations that are based in part upon the Joseon Dynasty’s political existence and character. I believe that the writer[s] have something to say, and this is an excellent forum for their voice[s]. As I am not of Korean descent, but only an admirer of the strength and resolve of the Korean people, I am going to rely upon sources who are hopefully more knowledgeable about what really occurred in Korea that ushered in the true influence of Catholicism and Protestantism. [TRANS] 120723 JYJ Jaejoong, Meets With 1500 Japanese Fans At the Filming Site Of “Dr. Jin” & Has A Fanmeet

JYJ’s Jaejoong interacted with over 1500 Japanese fans at the filming site of “Dr. Jin”.

According to his management agency, C-Jes Entertainment, on 23 July, “On 22 July, Japanese fans visited the filming site of the drama “Dr. Jin”, and witnessed Jaejoong’s acting.” The fans delivered food and drinks to the staff and cast at the filming site. The fans later participated in the fanmeet, which was held at the auditorium of Yonsei University.

Jaejoong sang “Living Like A Dream” from the “Dr. Jin” OST, and also spoke of some of the happenings during the filming of the drama. During the fanmeet, Jaejoong spent an enjoyable time with the fans, including reading a Japanese poem.
