[TRANS] 130828 Director Bong Joon Ho Says, “Casting Park Yoochun In ‘Sea Fog’… I Can’t Wait To See Him Work”
Regarding the fact that JYJ’s Park Yoochun will be appearing in ‘Sea Fog’, Bong Joon Ho revealed that the star was highly recommended by Director Shim Sung Bo himself.
Bong Joon Ho met with reporters at a restaurant on the 27th and stated, “Director Shim Sung Bo highly recommended Park Yoochun from the very beginning for his role in ‘Sea Fog’.”
‘Sea Fog’ is the movie adaptation of the play with the same name, and is being produced by Bong Joon Ho and directed by Shim Sung Bo, who took part in writing the scenario of ‘Memories of Murder’.
Kim Yoon Seok play the role of the captain while Park Yoochun will play a crewman and antagonist of the captain.
Park Yoochun has been recognized for his talent as an actor through TV dramas such as KBS 2TV’s ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ and SBS’ ‘Rooftop Prince’, but this will be the first time that he appears in a movie.
Director Bong Joon Ho stated, “I think Park Yoochun is the kind of person who is capable of taking on a wide variety of characters,” and “Director Shim Sung Bo was very interested in Park Yoochun from the very beginning.” He also added, “I’m happy to be working with Director Shim Sung Bo, and I believe we will be able to make a great movie.”
Meanwhile, ‘Sea Fog’ will begin filming at the end of this year and is expected to be released in the first half of 2014.

[TRANS] 130822 53 Korean Idol Groups Are Nominated For The Hallyu 10th Anniversary Japanese Music Awards
53 Korean idol groups, including TVXQ and Girls’ Generation, have been nominated for the Hallyu 10th Anniversary Japanese Music Awards, which will be held in Chiba, Japan in October.
According to Oricon, a ‘Hallyu 10th Anniversary Awards’ awards ceremony will take place at the International Convention Hall in Chiba, Japan on the 9th of October to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hallyu Wave. The committee in charge of the awards ceremony will hold a poll from the 22nd till the 30th of September for boy bands, girl groups, and female and male solo artistes, to choose the top 5 groups in each category.
The nominees for the boy band category came to a total of 33 teams including INFINITE, AJAX, EXO, Epic High, FT Island, MBLAQ, CN BLUE, JYJ, SHINee, SHU-I, SHinhwa, Super Junior, ZE:A, Choshinsung, TEEN TOP, 2AM, 2PM, TVXQ, NU’EST, B.A.P, B2ST, B1A4, Big Bang, VIXX, Boyfriend and U-Kiss.
The girl group category had a total of 20 nominees including Jewelry, After school, A Pink, f(x), Girls Day, KARA, SECRET, SISTAR, Girls’ Generation, Davichi, Dalshabet, T-ara, 2NE1, 4Minute, Brown Eyed Girls, Miss A, Rainbow, and the Wondergirls.
The male solo category includes Psy, Se7en, Rain and Kim Bum Soo while the female solo category includes IU, Gummy, Ailee, BoA and Wax.

In a recent appearance on MBC Queen’s ‘Talk Concert Queen’, Nancy Lang talked about the various rumors and misunderstandings that surround her.

[TRANS] 130819 Park Yoochun’s Reps “Will Release An Official Announcement On His Potential Appearance On ‘Sea Fog’”
An official announcement will be released on JYJ Park Yoochun’s potential appearance in the movie ‘Sea Fog’.
OSEN reported on the 19th that Park Yoochun has been confirmed to appear in Director Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Sea Fog’.
According to the media outlet, Park Yoochun will play crewman Dong Shik, the antagonist of the captain, set to be played by Kim Yoon Seok. The role of Dong Shik was initially offered to Song Joong Ki but with his military enlistment approaching, the role has now been given to Park Yoochun.
Park Yoochun’s agency seemed hesitant to speak up about the news. In a phone conversation with Donga.com, a representative of C-JeS stated, “We can’t really talk about the details right now. We will release an official announcement soon.”
The movie ‘Sea Fog’ is garnering much attention for being the first movie produced by Director Bong Joon Ho, who was in charge of the recent hit ‘Snowpiercer’.

Hello, my lovely ladies (and gents – if you’re out there?)!
Unlike the last magazine, we were able to order a copy of the second edition of THE JYJ MAGAZINE No.2 on time!
We wanted to share the amazing and funny stories that lay within the magazine pages with you, so we decided to translate the entire magazine.
It’s a little shorter than the first edition (half a year is much easier to cover than 1000 days, no?) but that doesn’t mean it was an easy task for us to take on.
Which is why, in order to prevent any illegal misuses of our work, we have decided to post a pdf version of our work only.
Also, taking apart a magazine to scan, and then taking those scans and adding in the English text is a lot of work, and a waste of a good magazine (since we can’t put it back together again), so we have decided not to provide all the images with the text.
However, we hope you enjoy reading this magazine as much as we did.
And we hope it brings you a little closer to Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu.

[TRANS] 130808 A Concert Without JYJ: Song Young Gil, The Mayor Of Incheon Says, “I Too Hope For Their Appearance”
Posts of protest are flooding social networking systems regarding JYJ’s exclusion from the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concert’, despite the fact that they are the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event.
One Twitter user sent a tweet to Song Young Gil, the mayor of Incheon, (@Bulloger) and said, “Are you aware of the fact that JYJ, the honorary ambassadors of the Incheon Asian Games, weren’t even invited to the upcoming commemorative concert?” and “Even though they had never been invited to the concert, the committee submitted a false report that JYJ declined their invitation.”
According to the argument made by this Twitter user, JYJ’s names were excluded from the ’2014 Incheon Asian Games Commemoration Hallyu Concert’, that will be held on the 1st of September, despite being the honorary ambassadors of the sporting event, and the decision was made by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting celebrities to perform at the concert 
The current guest list for the concert features 20 teams including 2AM, miss A, Girls Day, B2ST, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, SISTAR, SECRET, KARA and T-ara.
JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated that they have filed a formal objection regarding the controversy and stated, “A misunderstanding arose when the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation, who are in charge of inviting singers to perform at the concert, notified the committee that JYJ declined their invitation. We set the record straight that we have never received an actual invitation to perform at the concert. We have been told that the committee will verify the truth of the situation by tomorrow (8th).”
Hearing about his controversy, Mayor Song stated, “I, too, hope for JYJ’s appearance at the concert but I was notified by the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation that the line-up issue is being dealt with by MBC. I will make sure to check on the situation with the representatives of the Incheon Development and Tourism Corporation and the committee of the Asian Games.”
