TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin arrived at Songshan Airport today at 11.15am, and caused another Hallyu explosion. Despite the rainy weather and low temperature of around 10 degrees, hundreds of fans were gathered within and outside the airport, showing that TVXQ’s charm is truly indomitable. The fans who spent a long time waiting for Yunho and Changmin to appear, would randomly practice their cheers. Even with the cold spell, Songshan Airport remained feverishly passionate!

Accompanied by thousands of cheers, Yunho and Changmin finally appeared. With their tall figures, wearing sunglasses, and dressed in black, and in the latest Korean student fashion style. In an instant, the media and fans swarmed towards them, practically crippling  Songshan airport, and the two men, ushered by the security personnel, walked slowly towards and boarded their vehicle, leaving their exhilarated fans. Despite former TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu forming a new group due to contractual issues, their hallyu power was not diminished, and fans continued to follow them wildly.

Ever since the “It’s been a while, How are you?” video clip suddenly appeared, leading everyone to wonder if TVXQ would be coming to Taiwan to meet the fans, and truly, after 3 years, this afternoon TVXQ blitzed their way into Taiwan, and will be holding their fan meeting tomorrow. This event titled “Fan Party 2011 in Taiwan” will see Yunho and Changmin challenging the extreme of two performances in one day. This is a tough challenge on their stamina and spirit, so fans must prepare to clear their throats and use their screams as a show of support!

Translation 111210 Interview With TVXQ: “In Private, We Are Much Like Normal People

[TRANS] 111210 Interview With TVXQ : “In Private, We Are Very Much Like Normal People”

After going through contractual issues and switching from a 5-man group to a 2 man group, the TVXQ appeared in Shanghai for their fan meeting  for the first time with their new grouping. On the afternoon of 9 December, Yunho and Changmin did an interview with ent.163.com. When talking about the recording of their Japanese album, Changmin laughed and said that there was a portion of the recording that required whistling, which he insisted on Yunho doing despite Yunho not being able to do it very well. When talking about their private lives which fans are very concerned about, Yunho and Changmin expressed, “In private, when we don’t have too many activities, we listen to music, watch movies and meet up with friends, very much like a normal person. “

Q: What is the difference between performing in Europe/America and Asia?

TVXQ: It’s the same in both Asia as well as Europe/America, no matter where we are, we can feel the passion and love from the fans, which is surprising to us.

Q: When recording the Japanese album “TONE,” were there any interesting episodes?

TVXQ: In our new album, there is a song called “Easy Mind,” and this song includes a portion where Yunho is whistling. Actually, he isn’t very good at whistling, but we insisted on him doing the whistling. This is one of the more meaningful moments that we remember.

Q: The style of this new album is more mature, and has more variety?

TVXQ: As this is a new album that we released after a long time, so there were many people that were very concerned about the album. We are thankful for everybody’s care and concern, and thank them for their support.

Q: Changmin, will you consider composing songs (T/N : vs writing lyrics) in the future?

TVXQ (Changmin) : So far, I haven’t really thought about writing songs, and maybe I just don’t have the talent for composing, so I feel more inclined towards developing in the area of lyric-writing.

Q: Yunho, do you have plans to compose or write lyrics?

TVXQ (Yunho) : Previously, during TVXQ concerts pr SMTown concerts, I’ve performed songs that I composed and wrote myself, so if there is chance and a good song, I hope that I will be able to include it in an album.

Q: What do the Chinese fans mean to you?

TVXQ: Although there isn’t much of a difference between fans in various countries, but they feel something special towards the Chinese fans, and the Chinese fans are always the first to ask after us whenever something happens, so we hope that in the future, fans can continue to show us their love and support.

Q: How are you like in private?

TVXQ: When we don’t have much to do, we listen to music, watch movies, and meet up with friends, very much like a normal person.

Although going to other countries to sing is a happy thing, but to be able to go to a city and enjoy it thoroughly is an even happier matter. Having such a holiday, and bringing back stories is moving, and leaves a lasting impression despite not being there myself.

Opening their hearts and embracing the culture presented before them, and looking at their expressions of true enjoyment makes one think that this vacation is definitely one that will stay in their memories for a long time. Just by looking at these memories of theirs makes me blessed.

[News] TVXQ Still Keeping Their Feet On The Ground

[News] TVXQ Still Keeping Their Feet On The Ground

The two members shared their first impressions of Singapore, their love for chilli crabs and what they miss doing the most.

They may be one of the biggest stars in K-pop, but what greeted us at the group interview in the function room at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, were two affable and sincere men.

Decked in matching blue military-styled uniforms, TVXQ took questions from the media in a short 20-minute group interview before their fan party.

The duo first talked about their first impressions of our country and told us what they had previously heard of us.

“It’s our first time to Singapore and we had the chance to view the night scenery yesterday. It was really beautiful. The impression is not fully formed because we’ve not performed and met our fans yet. We’ll have a better impression of Singapore and the fans after tonight,” leader Yunho replied.

He added that Singaporean fans had been very welcoming and gave them lots of support.

It’s not difficult to see that the chilli crabs in Singapore had left TVXQ a lasting impression (the duo mentioned it again during the fan party).

When asked if they had the chance to taste any local delicacy, Changmin said, “We’ve tried pepper crabs and chilli crabs last night. We heard that it’s one of the most famous local delicacies here. It was really, really tasty. We know that Singapore is well-known for the seafood, since it’s surrounded by the sea.”

Being one of the top Hallyu stars definitely has its perks, but it has its downsides — the loss of privacy and being “ordinary”, as well as stress.

Changmin shared that the things he missed were travelling with his friends, and hanging out with them and having drinks together. The 23-year-old also reminded that he is already of age to have alcoholic beverages.

Yunho echoed the former’s sentiments, answering a short “same” first in Korean, then in English.

When questioned how they relieve stress, Changmin first answered that he would drink and have tasty food, especially spicy dishes.

On the other hand, Yunho demonstrated his athletic side, saying that he would go for snowballing during winter and in the other seasons, bowling.

Later, the enthusiasm TVXQ showed was evident, when the duo talked about their fans.

While no particular fan ever caught their attention, Yunho spoke on a special and memorable moment they had.

“When we’re performing, our fans would create ‘TVXQ’ or the members’ names with red light sticks. That’s very memorable for us,” he said.

Considering they are already one of the top stars in the Korean music industry, the media wondered what it would be like for them 10 years down the road.

“We’ll probably still be in this industry, doing what we’re doing now. We wish that we could put up such performances by then, but stamina wise, I’m not very sure if we still have the strength,” Changmin replied.

Yunho also pictured themselves doing joint performances with junior singers in the industry, and would probably be involved in individual careers such as acting in various dramas.

However, the pair has no acting projects at the moment.

It was a short interview, but TVXQ displayed their professionalism, candor and sincerity the entire time. The bright-eyed pair spoke in soft and gentle tones, only to raise their voices occasionally to show enthusiasm.

TVXQ may have debuted eight years ago, but the duo felt down-to-earth and that fame did not seem like it had gone over their heads.

NEWS TVXQ Tickles Fans With Singlish

[News] TVXQ Tickles Fans with Singlish

The Korean boy band was in town for an upclose and personal fan party yesterday.

Dubbed the ‘Kings of Hallyu’, Korean boy band TVXQ returned to the music scene with the album Why? (Keep Your Head Down) in January this year. Following their highly successful comeback, the group held their first overseas fan party in Beijing, China back in August.

TVXQ debuted as a five-member group, consisting of leader Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin. In 2009, three members — Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu — filed an injunction suit against their former company, forming the group JYJ. The trio was last seen in town for a showcase in October last year.

The two-member TVXQ arrived on our shores for the first time yesterday, performing to an audience of 4,500 fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

For the first 10 minutes of the fan party, concert-goers were entertained by the group’s music video for the song ‘Before U Go’. Fans screamed and shouted enthusiastically, whenever the members appeared on screen, as if assuring TVXQ, who were backstage.

Consisting of members Yunho and Changmin, TVXQ exploded on stage, bringing the house down with their first song of the night, ‘Maximum’. Deck in matching white costumes, the pair sang and danced to a sea of red light sticks (red being the group’s official colour).

After the first song, Yunho and Changmin took turns to greet the audience, both expressing their delight and excitement to be performing for the first time in Singapore and hoped that “fans would enjoy each of our performances”.

Fans also got to know the duo a little bit more during the Q&A session, but it was Yunho and Changmin’s apt use of Singlish, which had the fans doubled over in laughter.

When asked if they knew about Singlish, Changmin answered that he had learnt a few words from the local staff, before proceeding to show his “fluency”.

“No problem … la?” the 23-year-old tried.

Fans chortled in response, with a few nodding their heads in approval.

Not one to be outdone, Yunho said, “Chilli crab shiok!”

Later, five lucky fans each got the chance to ask TVXQ a question personally. Two well-made fan videos, which left some people in tears, were also chosen to be aired during the fan party.

Upon viewing the videos, Changmin said, “Thank you for the videos. I’m impressed by the amount of effort they put in. They give us the energy to put on our best performances.”

Yunho added that he was very “touched by their effort and love” and even though they have tough times, this “love [from fans] keeps us going and gives us support to do our utmost best”.

These two winners were rewarded with a TVXQ poster each. Yunho signed with a personal ‘God Bless You’ message, while Changmin wrote ‘Thank You’.

It might have been a short two-hour fan party, but it was evident that TVXQ was thankful for their fans, some who have waited for as long as seven years.

Not only did the group thank the fans profusely for their “love, passion and support”, they also showed their appreciation in the most practical way.

For any Cassiopeia (name of TVXQ’s official fanclub), the best part of the fan party was definitely to hear the pair perform ‘live’ in their top-notch condition. TVXQ proved their reign as ‘Kings of Hallyu’ by putting up a perfect performance. The duo’s singing was not compromised, despite the amount of dancing they had to do.

xinmsn is proud to be the official online media of TVXQ! Asia Fan Party 2011 in Singapore.

[Trans] 111201 This Year’s Results Slip Of The Two Groups After TVXQ Split

[Trans] 111201 This Year’s Results Slip Of The Two Groups After TVXQ Split

After the split of two major boy bands TVXQ and SS501, which were formed in the first half of first decade of the 21st century, they have started events officially this year. Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu, who were members of TVXQ, left their previous agency SM Entertainment, after filing a lawsuit regarding their personal contracts, and have been active in the industry under the name of JYJ.

Alhough the 5 members are not able to attend activities together currently, this year is the crucial period for them to display their personal capabilities. They have been able to cause a big influence in the local music industry, and their current and future events would cause a greater influence overseas.

U-Know Yunho and Choi Kang Changmin, who had a different thinking from the 3 members of JYJ, remained in SM Entertainment, and have started activities as a duo since January this year. After 2 years and 3 months, although TVXQ remains active with only two members after the split, they have not disappointed fans with the energy recouped during that period.

Their fifth album “WHY (Keep Your Head Down” which was released earlier on 5 January, clinched top rankings in many major music websites and local music programs, proving their undying popularity. In Japan, their popularity was even greater. They broke the 130,000 sales record within a day after releasing their Japanese single “WHY”with their overwhelming popularity, and clinched 1st place in the Oricon Charts on the current and following day. They broke their 170,000 sales record within 2 days, displaying their outstanding capabilities.

In September, TVXQ released their Japanese album “TONE”, once again clinching the 1st place of Japanese charts on the day of release, garnering great album sales which amounted to 105,484 copies.

In comparison, JYJ had restrictions in performing on broadcasts, and mainly met fans through world tour concerts. However, they were just as outstanding as the TVXQ duo. After releasing their Worldwide album “The Beginning” last October, they have been active in world tours since April.

JYJ has had concerts in a total of 13 countries and cities, performing to over 200,000 audiences. They started their world tour from Thailand, Taiwan and Beijing, then moving on to North America, Japan, and ended their world tour in Busan and Gwangju. They started entering the Europe market, performing their solo concerts in Spain Barcelona and Germany Berlin, after releasing their first Korean album “In Heaven”, which garnered over 300,000 preorders.

JYJ’s agency representatives expressed, “With their soaring popularity overseas, JYJ would continue to have a world tour next year. They would be having activities in Asia, and even in the North America.”
