NEWS] JYJ’s Junsu to Hold A World Tour and Release a Repackaged Album!

 On July 16th, representatives from C-Jes Entertainment announced, “[JYJ‘s] Junsu, who is currently traveling on his Asia Tour, will also be holding a world tour in North America, South America, and Europe.”

After having released his first solo album and sweeping music charts across the continent of Asia, Junsu appears to be ready to meet his global audience. And not surprisingly so, since despite this being Junsu’s first time embarking on solo album activities, he has achieved great sales numbers even on charts abroad with his unique concept and 12 stylistically diverse songs.

CEO of C-JeS Entertainment Baek Chang Joo further expanded on Junsu’s success, saying, “Ever since Junsu’s first public performance, his solo album has not only captivated the country, but also a wide area of Asia as well; as we were, of course, targeting markets overseas, it seems we have produced a world class music video. The awaited results were extraordinary. During Junsu’s successful Asia tour, the number of love calls we received from areas such as North and South America would not stop flowing in, and thus we decided to launch a world tour.”

The CEO continued to reveal, “For this world tour, Junsu has put together and prepared a repackaged album. As this album will be targeting the world market, it will include an English single and a music video produced in America. Although we cannot further clarify our future plans, Junsu will be climbing the steps to fame in America.”

One of these American parties interested in JYJ’s Junsu commented, “There is great interest [and anticipation] for JYJ’s Junsu’s world tour success throughout America. The title song,“TARANTALLEGRA”, not only attempted to draw in interest via the K-Pop Wave, it created its own, unique sensation; the music video has gathered high marks from parties throughout America as well. It seems that, after promoting as a soloist and single-handedly holding a world tour, Junsu has demonstrated the global interest [he has gathered].”

It has been decided that Junsu’s upcoming world tour will include stops in 2-3 cities per continent. Currently, Junsu is still on his Asia tour, which started in Seoul, and is continuing throughout countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China. Next month, Junsu will be holding his final concert in Hong Kong.

Singer Kim Junsu will be starting his world tour as a solo singer. Representative C-JeS Entertainment expressed that, “Kim Junsu will be touring around North and South America and Europe with concerts at 2-3 cities of each continent.”

C-JeS said, “Kim Junsu’s solo album was not just sold domestically but was targeted at Asian market. The MV is also produced for overseas’ market. Right now the Asia tour is successfully being held, and the endless ‘love call’ from America and Europe resulted the decision in the world tour.”

“The repackaged album is also currently in the midst of preparation. The album this time is targeted at global market and there’s English song(s) included. The MV is also produced in America. Though it is not yet to be announced but there’s a famous US staff that is involved in it,” C-JeS expressed.

 The representative of North America expressed that, “The success of JYJ world tour has resulted in very high popularity of Kim Junsu (XIA).” The title song Tarantallegra is different from the typical K-pop and thus caused a sensation. The MV also received good reviews in America.”

Additionally, the Asia tour that started from Seoul, then Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, China etc, Kim Junsu will be concluding the Asia tour next month at Hongkong.

[News] 120713 Chinese People Want JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun To Hold Fan Meetings

Singer and actor Park Yoo Chun is very popular in China.

Park’s Chinese fan community held an online petition for a week for Park to hold his fan meeting in China and more than 5,000 people signed their names.

The people also commented cities where they want him to hold his fan meeting. As a result, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Hangzhou, and Wuhan were mentioned and proved that Park is very popular all over China.

A local official says, “Park is unbelievably popular in China. Chinese people are eagerly anticipating to see him anytime soon.”

 There are over 80,000 people in Park’s fan community. Even before his TV series Rooftop Prince airs in China, one of the biggest local portal sites created a fan community for the series and gained over 60,000 people.

When Park had his birthday on June 4, his fan club hold a birthday party in 4 Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chungching.

Park is currently taking a break after SBS’s Rooftop Prince went off air.

MBC’s ‘Dr. Jin‘ starring Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo, and Kim Jaejoong has been extended by 2 more episodes.

A staff member at the drama said on July 12th, “We have decided to add two more episodes.  Although we started with a plan of just 20 episodes it seems that it will be hard to tie up the story so for the sake of creating a more complete story, we have decided to add the extra episodes.”  Dr. Jin is now scheduled to conclude in early August.

 The actors have already shown a positive response to this idea.  Lee Bum Soo recently stated, “I hope it is 40 episodes and not 20.  It is too short for the viewers to follow the overall arc in just 20 episodes.“  Song Seung Hun said, “It is hard to show everything in just 20 episodes especially for a historical drama.”

Even after the positive response from the actors, the staff was still worried on how the viewers would take the news that the show has been extended.  ‘Dr. Jin’ began airing on May 26th alongside SBS’s ‘Gentleman’s Class‘ with the plan of ending on July 29th.  A staff member said, “With the extension of our show, some people might think that we are trying to take the place of the number one show in our time slot, ‘Gentleman’s Class.’  But we never thought about the ratings when we made this decision.”

In recently broadcasted episode 13, Kim Kyung-tak found Younghui’’s knife in his own room, he had to use a lot of strength to hold the knife, the grief he was suppressing during that period of time bursted, at this moment the audiences eyes became red.

 Recently we got to see many scenes in which Kim Jaejoong showed his acting skills. Also in episode 12 the scene of him choking up tears when he saw Young-rae get shot and fell off the cliff, also in episode 13 when he cried soundlessly. These scenes were selected as the best 3 scenes showing Kim Jaejoong’s acting skills in crying scenes.

In addition, on the 5th Jaejoong went to the filimg site, to participate in the press conference. From actor Lee Beom-soo who plays the role of Lee Ha-eung, he received praises such as this: “I want to give Kim Jaejoong’s acting skills a really high score.” “While expressing his feelings through acting, also making it look really good. It’s not pretending to feel, but doing it through using his true feelings, in order to convey to everyone so he works hard, the focus filming parts look really good.” And also expressing he is looking forward to seeing more of Jaejoong’s acting skills in the future.

[News] 120710 JYJ’s Junsu tops the Asian Music Chart in Germany with “Tarantallegra”

JYJ’s Junsu (XIA) recently topped the Asian Music Chart in Germany with his solo song, “Tarantallegra.”

On July 10, C-jes Entertainment, Junsu’s agency, reported Junsu ranked first on the monthly Asian Music Chart in Germany, which was updated recently, with the lead track of his solo album, “Tarantallegra.”

Big Bang ranked second and B.A.P ranked third. Junsu also proved his worldwide popularity as he ranked first on the iTunes Chart in Japan, tenth on the Billboard’s World Albums Chart, and first on the monthly Music Video Chart of a Chinese site last month.

Junsu is currently having a concert tour in Asia. Starting in Seoul in May, he went to Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China, attracting over 30,000 audiences.

A spokesperson for Junsu says, “JYJ became very popular after they had their exclusive concert in Berlin, Germany. They were the first Korean singing group to hold a concert there. Junsu is also very popular in Europe as a leading character of Mozart and Elizabeth, the famous German musicals.”
