JYJâs Kim Jae Joong is drawing a lot of attention by ranking high on every Japanese chart.
Japanese magazine Anan recently did a survey asking, âWhat is your favorite Hallyu TV series?â SBSâs Protect The Boss, in which Kim appeared, ranked first.
Kim also ranked third, following Hyun Bin, on the survey of âJapanese womenâs favorite Korean actor.â
The fashion magazine, which sells around 300 thousand copies every week since 1970, is well known as a publication that features the top stars. The magazine is also very popular among girls from their 20s through 30s.
The series was aired on Japanese TBS in July and received considerable attention. The âProtect The Boss Kim Jae Joong Special Making DVD,â which will be released in November, ranked first on a chart as soon as they started to receiving reservation offers.
A Japanese official says, âKim has many fans who love him in Japan. His series made him even more popular all cross the country.â
Kim will start going on an Asian fan meeting tour on October 20 in China.

JYJ member Park Yoochun has been confirmed for the new MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama âMissing You.â
Yoochunâs management company C-JeS Entertainment revealed on 25 September that Yoochun has been confirmed for the MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama âMissing You.â Yoochun will be playing the lead role of Han Jeong Woo, and this is his first drama in 6 months since âRooftop Princeâ which was broadcast in May.
âMissing Youâ is about a man and woman who had an unforgettable first love, but were only left with painful memories, a melodramatic âhide & seekâ. It will be aired after âArang & The Magistrateâ ends and is expected to start its broadcast in October.
Previously, the casting of younger versions of the two main leads will be played by Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun had become a hot topic. The addition of Chun Jung Myung added to this dramaâs visibility as well.
âMissing Youâ is written by scriptwriter Moon Hee Jung of last yearâs âCan You Hear My Heartâ âSmile, Youâ and âLast Scandalâ, and produced by Lee Jae Dong (âThank Youâ), a team that has garnered much interest.

The âMusical Elisabeth Special Edition OSTâ, which Kim Junsu featured in, has already topped Hanteoâs annual charts in only three days.
In the domestic OST and musicals category of the âHanteo Chartsâ, which has been collecting data for its annual charts since the beginning of January this year, Kim Junsu came out on top as he sold approximately 9,100 copies of the OST in three days, proving yet again the power of the âKim Junsu effectâ.
This special edition OST is more meaningful to Kim Junsu as it is the first time that he has participated in a musical OST CD. It has been garnering much attention from his fans, even before its release, as it was announced that it would include an exclusive interview and photobook of Kim Junsu.
