Only they know their personal time frames for this mandatory obligation to the Korean military. it is an inevitable thing, and it will be best for us to mentally ‘gear up’ to survive their absence. After all, they are family to us.  There are many innovative activities that can be done by the fans while they are in service, and hopefully the time will pass quickly and safely. Let’s keep loving all of these young men.

TVXQ (U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin)’s Max Changmin has marked the end of his time on ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ with the celebrity team’s basketball match against a Seoul team.

A basketball match between the celebrity team and the Seoul team was featured during the episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ that aired on the 4th. On this day, the celebrity team was able to beat out the Seoul team by a small margin, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

Max Changmin opened up about leaving the program and said, “In the past, I never used to participate in sports. Because my body isn’t that strong, I would easily get injured,” and “This was the first time that I’ve learned the joy of playing sports with others.”

Meanwhile, Max Changmin has been appearing on the show since it began last April. Till now, Max Changmin has participated in the show’s table tennis, bowling, badminton and basketball matches, bringing laughter and emotions to the show’s viewers.

KBS 2TV’s ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ will mark the end of its four-month-long basketball season with a match again the ‘Seoul’ team.

U-Know Yunho’s surprise visit to the celebrity team’s last match to show his support for Max Changmin has drawn the attention of many. Saying, “I cleared my schedule to come here,” U-Know Yunho made a surprise visit to support Max Changmin, whose face brightened when he saw his fellow group member. Coach Choi In Seon couldn’t hold back his surprise at U-Know Yunho’s appearance as he asked, “Did you come to support Changmin in his last match?”

To this, U-Know Yunho said, “I’ve never seen Changmin work so hard since becoming a member of TVXQ. This is the first time I’ve seen him cry. I was so surprised.” U-Know Yunho’s display of affection had Max Changmin saying, “Your appearance is putting so much pressure on me, it’s crazy.”

According to the staff, U-Know Yunho stayed till the end of the match between the two teams, and joined 1,500 fans in cheering Max Changmin on. Applause and cheers filled the gymnasium whenever Max Changmin scored or caught a rebound, while fans expressed their disappointment and sorrow whenever a mistake was made.

A staff member of ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master’ stated, “U-Know Yunho’s appearance was a complete surprise that hadn’t been planned in advance,” and “We would like to thank U-Know Yunho for showing his support for Max Changmin and staying till the very end of the match. Max Changmin was able to end the match on a high note thanks to U-Know Yunho’s support.”

Meanwhile, U-Know Yunho’s visit to Max Changmin’s basketball game can be seen on the 43rd episode of ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’.

TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho has stepped up to make donations to Gwangju, his hometown.

According to a representative of SM Entertainment, “On the 22nd, U-Know Yunho donated the 35.2 million Won of profits he made from participating in the ’2013 Gwangju Design Biennale’ to Gwangju’s Community Chest of Korea donation drive. His donation will be used to help children in need in the Gwangju region.”

According to this representative, U-Know Yunho worked as the honorary ambassador of the ’2013 Gwangju Design Biennale’ event from the 6th of September till the 3rd of November. U-Know Yunho released hand-drawn sketches, as well as mobile phone cases, mugs and plates designed by the singer himself.

The profits made from selling these items were donated the Gwangju’s Community Chest of Korea donation drive, showcasing U-Know Yunho’s love for his hometown. It has been found that U-Know Yunho has secretly been participating in a variety of donation drives and volunteer services.

Meanwhile, TVXQ are currently busy promoting their new track ‘Something’.

Male duo TVXQ have been experiencing an explosive amount of popularity in Mexico.

On the 18th, TVXQ’s ‘Something’ music video was introduced on ‘HITM3′, a famous program of TV AZTECA, one of Mexico’s top media companies. This is the first time that a music video of a Korean singer has been officially introduced on this program.

‘HITM3′ is a program that airs every Sunday morning and introduces sports, music and movies. It’s a popular program that also features live performances and interviews with singers.

After being introduced on the program, TVXQ’s music video was uploaded on the official homepage of ‘HITM3′, while the program’s Facebook and Twitter accounts left updates that said, “The music video of TVXQ, the representatives of K-pop, will be coming your way.”

During the episode of tvN’s ‘Taxi – Reply 1994 Special’ that aired on the 23rd of January, Sohn Ho Joon appeared as a special guest with Do Hee and Baro, and opened up about his famous friendship with U-Know Yunho.

Sohn Ho Joon said, “Yunho used to go to school with a junior I was close to. Back when Yunho was having a hard time, I used to get an allowance from my parents. When I used to come to Seoul, I would give Yunho any money I had left. After Yunho became a member of TVXQ, he took care of me really well.”

He continued to add, “People say we have a great friendship, but he’s actually like family to me. He checks on all the articles written about me, and sends them to me in the morning. We just seem to click. We’re friends bonded by loyalty.”

TVXQ’s Max Changmin has transformed into a webtoon (online cartoon) artist struggling with the scars of his first love.

Mnet announced on the 22nd that Max Changmin has been chosen as the leading role for ‘MiMi’ their upcoming ghost romance drama that has a total of four episodes.

Max Changmin, who has been reaping in great success both as a musician, with ‘Something’ dominating major music shows, and as an entertainer on his variety show, is set to transform into a webtoon artist who holds the pain of his lost first love in his heart.

‘MiMi’ is a drama that depicts the beautiful but sorrowed first love story between two people whose fates have been altered. Max Changmin will play the role of the handsome and popular webtoon artist ‘Minwoo’, who sets out to find his first love once more.

The singer will be playing two roles, one being the present-day Minwoo, a charismatic, 28-year-old webtoon artist who holds on to the pain of a first love he can’t remember, and the other being Minwoo in the past, when he was an 18-year-old high school student.

Minwoo is not only handsome, but he is also a talented and popular webtoon artist. He finds a post-it note on his calendar one day, which leads him to create a new webtoon called ‘December 8th’.

The webtoon becomes immensely popular from the start, but Minwoo begins to feel the pressure of his work, developing strange headaches. He then decides to search out his first love from ten years ago.

Max Changmin said, “It wasn’t easy to act out two versions of the same person as they have such different memories and emotions, but I’m enjoying the process,” and “Because the story revolves around the theme of one’s first love, something everyone can relate to, I hope a lot of people tune in to watch.”

Mnet’s ‘MiMi’ will begin airing at 11pm on the 21st of February and will air every Friday for four weeks.
