NEWS 110928 Tohoshinki: Special Message Woven Into Their Japanese Official Album

[News] Tohoshinki, Special Message Woven Into Their Japanese Official Album

Tohoshinki has inserted a special message addressed to their fans in their new official album which went on sale in Japan.

On September 28, Tohoshinki’s new album “TONE” went on sale in Japan. This album is their first official album in 2 years since 2009′s “Secret Code”. They have caught much attention for weaving in hidden messages in this album by conveying greetings to their fans through the lyrics booklet of the album.

When one takes a cursory glance at the album, the message cannot be found. However, at the album lyrics booklet which is enclosed in cellophane, one can see some lyrics of different colors and when one combines all those words together, a message is formed. The content of the message reads, “We love you. We’ll always be by your side. Let’s walk on together.”

In the Japanese fanclub “Bigeast” version, in the lyrics of 5 songs, the combined words read, “heart 愛してる いつもありがと これからもwith bigeast ?いていこう 大好きだよ”. The meaning translates to, “We love you     We’re always grateful to you     From now on, we’ll walk on together with Bigeast     It feels really great”.

In the CD+DVD version, in 6 songs, the extracted words combine to form “一?にこれからも?いていこう ずっと傍にいるよ こ れからも一?に?いていくよ 愛してる”, and this message reads “Let’s walk on together from now on. We’ll be by your side. From now on, let’s walk on together. We love you.”

Tohoshinki’s album will have 13 songs, including “B.U.T”, which was first unveiled through SM Town’s stage in early September,”Why? (Keep Your Head Down)” which went on sale in January, “Super Star”, a single which was released in July, and “I Don’t Know” etc.

Translation 110907 ‘Let’s Get JYJ On Music Bank!!

[Trans] 110907 “Let’s Get JYJ On Music Bank!” Fans Are On The Move

With JYJ(Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu)’s first Korean album set to be released soon, fans have begun a movement to get the group on broadcasted music programs.

It has been found that JYJ’s fans plan to buy their albums at stores that are included in the album sales count of KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’. Music Bank’s K-Chart Album Sales points are given according to the rankings from 1 to 100 on Hanteo Charts’ weekly nationwide album sales as well as the weekly album sales from Korea’s two major album distributors Synnara and Hottracks. Each album is then ranked proportionally to the total sales and given points accordingly.

But there is separate reason why JYJ’s fans are focusing on ‘Music Bank’. It is because KBS stated in May that JYJ were unable to appear on ‘Music Bank’ as they did not have an official album released at the time, which is the criteria for singers who wish to appear on the show. This means that when JYJ release their new album, there is no official reason that KBS can give to reject JYJ.

At the time of the announcement, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We thank KBS for their official statement that says they will allow JYJ to appear on their music program when they release an official album,” and “Even just by looking at the recent events, anyone can surmise that the artiste can’t help but be in the weaker position as their appearances on broadcasted programs are blocked for various reasons.”

The upcoming album will contain songs that are composed by the members and were first released during JYJ’s world tour that began after they dropped their first worldwide album ‘The Beginning’ last October.

The title song ‘In heaven’ is a sad R&B ballad that is written by Kim Jaejoong and the album will consist of ten tracks that include ‘Get Out’ and ‘You’re’.

Translation 110727 JYJ To Release Korean Album This Year

[Trans] 110727 JYJ To Release Korean Album This Year‏

JYJ will release a Korean album in Korea finally. The release date is unconfirmed but JYJ has expressed that “The release is targeted to be this year and is currently in production.”

This Korean album release will be the 2nd album after “The Beginning” release during last year’s October. Upon reporter’s interview, they said, “Although it is good to fix the release date but it is still unconfirmed. This Korean album was prepared in order to thank the domestic fans.”

An interesting point this time will be whether JYJ are able to participate in promotional activities for this album. When the three members sang ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ theme song, Found You, the song came in first place in KBS’s Music Bank but was unable to appear on the programme and resulted in commotion. At that time, KBS expressed, “If it is an official album release, they will be able to appear on the music programme.” To this, CJeS said, “Hopefully there are not external pressure or prohibition this time.”

Additionally, JYJ received the cancellation notice for KBS’s “Jeju New 7th Wonder Wishes Special’ just four days before the broadcast and the representative company have submitted the complaint to the official committee.

NEWS 110722 Journalist Talks About JYJ & KBS Controversy + JYJ Prepares For A Second World Tour….

[News] 110722 Journalist talks about JYJ & KBS controversy + JYJ prepares for a second world tour and new album release this year

On July 20th, journalist Kim Bum Tae covered the controversy surrounding JYJ and KBS on Radio 21’s ‘Lee Ki Ho’s Polyscope‘.

The segment began with an interview of Kim, who has been reporting on JYJ’s case for some time now. Kim stated, “For the ‘N7W‘, JYJ has sung logo songs and created self-produced videos to bring in votes from both Korea and overseas. Not even a day after these were released, the boys brought in hundreds of thousands of views. Jeju Island was in desperate need of international votes compared to the cities it was competing against, and through JYJ’s promotions, the island was able to garner the attention it needed. Under the suggestion of JYJ, both Korean and international fans voted for Jeju Island, bringing in effective help.”

Kim continued, “Fans are currently lodging complaints that they and JYJ’s popularity were used to bring in votes for Jeju Island. Not only KBS, but the entire Korean broadcast industry has become a laughing stock because of this one cancellation.”

On KBS claiming that SNSD and f(x) were more effective, Kim stated, “The decision on bringing in certain artists is at the sole discretion of the broadcast network and the producer. Still, logically, there is a ‘limit’ that shouldn’t be crossed. To tell the singers that worked as honorary ambassadors that their appearance has been canceled randomly one day is not just tyranny but akin to violence.”

The reporter was then asked what ‘So Tam Je Shil’ was, a new word that was created regarding the entire issue. Kim explained, “It stands for, ‘desiring SNSD and losing JYJ.’ Blind to the immediate profits, they lost what was more important and immaturely broke their loyalty.”

On SM Entertainment artists always being added in the place of JYJ, the reporter bravely mentioned that rumors of ‘external pressure’ was circulating within the broadcast industry.

Kim also asked fans to take a bigger interest in such issues by explaining, “Broadcast networks will be more heated in ‘catering to the stars’. There’s a possibility that the influence of the label will rise, and broadcast networks will have to cater to that influence. More than anything, the public and political circles need to take an interest to eradicate such unfair actions in the industry.”

Closing his segment, the reporter said, “I am not defending JYJ or pleading in their defense. What I’m saying is that we need to take a listen to the voices of those that are being sacrificed under unjust practices in unjust environments, whether they’re celebrities or laborers.”

The reporter went on to introduce a tweet that a foreign fan had said, “It’s upsetting that Korean broadcast networks still don’t have an open heart. Do they not know that JYJ’s activities are all for the benefit of Korea?” He responded to the tweet by warmly replying, “There are more people quietly resisting, supporting, watching over, and supporting JYJ than what they know, see, and hear.”

JYJ is currently preparing for a new album release as well as another tour in the second half of 2011. The department head of Prain, Lee Jae Eun, revealed, “They’re a worldwide group with a large scale, so we’re looking at the overall picture for the second half. It hasn’t been that long since they completed their world tour so we were going to have a moment of rest, but there are a lot of love calls from Europe and the Americas being received. As such, we will be going straight back into preparations.”

Lee continued, “JYJ has a special emotional attachment to their fans and are proud of their fans than anyone else. With everything they say, they always refer to their fans as ‘our fans’ and I think that with every obstacle they overcome together, that bond grows stronger than ever. We’re glad that they have fans that love their music and their dreams, and we hope that they aren’t too upset with this issue.”

Lee concluded, “Not only their fans, but the citizens of Jeju Island and the public have all lent their support after this issue erupted. There’s a side where I’m grateful because it raised awareness about the injustice JYJ is fighting against. This issue has nothing to do with JYJ’s efforts in promoting Jeju, and as world stars, they will be doing their best to let the world know about Korea’s beautiful island.”

Translation 110713 Kim Jaejoong, Immersed In The Role of the “Director”

[Trans] 110713 Kim Jaejoong, Immersed In The Role Of The “Director”

Having their two month long world tour end, JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong has found the appeal of the role of a director. He conveyed his impressions of the world tour and when asked to describe it in one word, he stated that it was “very fun”.

Kim Jaejoong stated proudly that, “After the end of the tour, I was praised by the company, my members, and by the staff. There were a number of songs that I myself composed just for this tour, and I was also the director of the concerts in Asia. And it was this kind of concert that was also performed in America. There were various difficulties and troubles, but to have accomplished such a big tour without having to ask for help from elsewhere was very satisfying.”

Through this recent world tour, Kim Jaejoong debuted as a director. When asked to choose between artist and director he laughed and said, “During the actual performance, I think it’s better to be the artist.” He further stated that, “Directors are really amazing, and I want to educate myself more about directing dramas. Being a director is about overcoming all the complications in order to shoot as how you desire. But in the end, a drama is a drama and a performance is a performance, and either of these have their own appeal.”

One of the most memorable moments for Kim Jaejoong with this world tour was their performance in Bangkok. Kim Jaejoong stated that, “I wanted to direct the first concert no matter what. The reaction from the fans was really good too so I was very touched.”

“Director Kim Jaejoong” also said that he had a desire to direct concerts and performances of other artists. He stated that, “I have an interest in directing performances for other artists similar to us. I once talked with my close friend Kim Hyunjoong about working on a album with our own style, and to do activities together but Kim Hyunjoong said that he was too greedy about his own music and would end up directing everything himself”, Jaejoong said laughing.

Also, while directing the gymnastics exhibition for Son Yon Jae, Kim Jaejoong reflected on how that experience had been extraordinary and enjoyable. “Son Yon Jae’s presentation showed that she understand more than what I understood I had to direct.”

He added, “I think if you truly play the part of the director and take it seriously, it would be a very interesting and an attractive area of work. Of course, right now I’m still taking small steps and learning, but I feel like my point of view in seeing the whole of a concert has gotten bigger, wider. During concert rehearsals, there were moments when I felt I wasn’t an artist standing on a stage, but I was behind the audience and directing, and that I myself was fulfilling a contribution to my team,” he concluded proudly.

Meanwhile, the “singer Kim Jaejoong” commented on their upcoming Korean album as “currently under preparation”. “I want to release it as soon as all the good music comes out but I wonder if it will be possible this year. We are currently even between different activities,” he added, not giving a definite answer.

Also in regards to whether he will be taking part in the OST of “Protect the Boss”, he said that there were still no such plans. He stated that, “At the moment there are no compositions that I could use for this drama, and it’s also difficult to join in so soon. But if such a proposal comes I will accept in order to support the drama.” He ended with this lingering statement, amplifying the expectations of the fans.

News JYJ to KBS: Thank You for Promising That We’ll Appear on Music Bank Upon Album Release

NEWS JYJ to KBS: “Thank You for Promising that We’ll Appear on Music Bank Upon Album Release”

To the official position of KBS that stated that the reason that JYJ was unable to appear on “Music Bank” was that the album release did not materialize, JYJ’s agency revealed its position: “We thank KBS for its official position that once JYJ releases an official album, KBS will let JYJ appear.”
JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed on the afternoon of the 19th: “At the action of the broadcast company refusing the appearance of an artist regardless of many reasons, the artist in fact cannot help but be the weaker party. As the court has acknowledged in February and as put down a judgment for compensation for interfering with activities, SM has sent to JYJ’s album producer Warner Music official documents (to hinder it from releasing a JYJ album). As such there are many mountains to climb before JYJ’s official album. However, we will overcome these invisible external pressures for the fans and show off an official album, and at that time we wish to visit the viewers through Music Bank.”
Continuing, C-JeS added: This current situation is one in which whether JYJ’s can appear or not was not the point but rather one in which on a public bulletin board an incorrect statement that damages JYJ had been posted. Therefore we wish that you correct the statement so that the viewers do not misunderstand. We also wish that you would think about this chain of events from the perspective of the viewers.”
On the 19th, KBS revealed through a writing it posted on its cyber promotional room regarding JYJ’s TV appearance that: “The reason JYJ could not appear on Music Bank was that the release of album did not materialize. The selection of the appearing artists is the inherent right of the producing crew. We will evaluate whether JYJ appears or not according to the future activities of JYJ such as an album release.”

EDITORS NOTE IT IS SO DISGUSTING when corporations…

EDITORS NOTE:

IT IS SO DISGUSTING when corporations such as KBS try to ‘pull the wool’ over the eyes of JYJ Fans. As a “‘fanily”, we are aware of every album, and every single that JYJ puts out there. Why? It is because we love them and await every opportunity to listen to their music or watch them perform on DVD. ‘The Beginning’ is an album. In my opinion, ‘Their Rooms’ is an album accompanied by a book. After all, the book includes the lyrics to their songs. So this is my say on this KBS matter. STOP making excuses for decisions that you made to ignore, eliminate opportunity, bow to SM, etc. that are now staring you in the face.

JYJ is a quality group of talented, popular singers, composers, musicians, actors, models, director, athletes, and dancers. They are also excellent leaders. This group is more appreciated, loved, and supported than you can even imagine. So–call a spade a spade, admit your mistakes, and, in future, give our guys some much deserved respect. BTW C-Jes, netizens do count.
