[TRANS] 120229 JYJ’s First Concert In Peru Expected To Be A Big Hit

“Atmosphere already heated for concert on 11 March”
“Additional 1,000 seats sold out in an instant”

An additional 1,000 seats were added for JYJ’s Peru concert, as requested by local fans. The passionate atmosphere can already be felt even before the concert itself.

On 11 March, JYJ will be holding their concert for 5000 people at Peru’s Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental. Due to strong requests from local fans, who rarely have the opportunity to watch (JYJ) perform, the organisers have also added extra seats.

JYJ’s management agency, C-Jes Entertainment, expressed, “As there were many requests from fans who were not able to purchase tickets, and (JYJ’s) schedule really did not allow for an additional show, we added 1,000 slots in empty spaces in the standing section. The 5,000 original tickets had sold out on 30 January, 2 days into the presales, and the additional 1,000 slots were also sold out in an instant.”

The passion of JYJ’s fans in Peru was already showcased back in January, when a queue formed the day before tickets for VIP seats, the closest seats to JYJ, went on sale.

[News] 120223 Despite blizzard, 2,000 fans gather to see TVXQ in Japan

A heavy blizzard did not deter Japanese fans from seeing their favorite K-pop stars perform.

Popular idol group TVXQ continued their national Japan tour by performing at the Niigata Toki Messe on February 18th.

Heavy snow has been falling in the Niigata area since January, causing the airports to shut down and even taking the lives of 50 citizens.

Without fail, the snow came down hard on February 18th, the day of TVXQ’s performance. Despite the dangerous weather, 2,000 fans stood outside the venue since the early hours of the morning waiting for the performance to begin.

More fans arrived as the merchandise began selling at around 1:00PM, and all the goods sold out within an hour of going on sale, setting a new record.

By the time TVXQ wraps up their Japan tour around April, they will have put on 26 performances in 11 different cities including Hiroshima, Osaka, Saitama, Tokyo, and more.

TVXQ will have performed in front of an estimated number of 550,000 total fans by the time the tour comes to an end, making it the single greatest tour TVXQ has ever put on.

[Trans] 120222 Where Is “Flower Boy” Park Yoochun? Transforms With Just A Change Of Hairstyle

[Trans] 120222 Where Is “Flower Boy” Park Yoochun? Transforms With Just A Change Of Hairstyle

JYJ member and actor Park Yoochun has made a risky change in appearance, even before his transformation via acting.

Playing the role of crown prince Lee Gak in the new SBS drama “Rooftop Prince” (Director: Shin Yoon Seob, Script: Lee Hui Myung), an image of him with his current look, was revealed on 21 February by SBS, and it was totally different from his clean-cut appearance, grabbing the attention of everyone.

On 16 February, Park Yoochun was filming on a set around Myungdong, Seoul dressed in a red tracksuit with long flowy hair. Idol to countless girls, Park Yoochun had played the role of a gentleman in the Joseon era, and a second generation chaebol in previous dramas, and while gaining experience on acting, his 180 degree change from his clean-cut appearance was shocking as well.

Park Yoochun’s current transformation is due to his role as Lee Gak in “Rooftop Prince.” Lee Gak is a crown prince from the Joseon era, who was sent to the modern era via some unknown force. For Lee Gak, his Joseon period looks coupled with modern day outfits will bring about many episode of laughter.

In the photo of Lee Gak that was revealed, Park Yoochun’s awkward hairstyle and hassle-free red tracksuit hints that the crown prince will be facing quite a bit of difficulty trying to adapt to the modern day. Also, his hilarious look has heightened the anticipation for this drama, bringing the anticipation to its peak.

“Rooftop Prince” is a fantasy-romance story about a Joseon Era crown prince Lee Gak, who is pursuing the truth behind his wife’s (Jung Yoo Mi) death, and gets sent to 2012 Seoul together with his consorts, then falls in love with his fated one (Han Ji Min). This drama will be aired after “Please take of us, Captain,” and features Park Yoochun as well as Han Ji Min, Lee Tae Sung, Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Min Ho, Choi Woo Sik and others. It will start airing in mid-March.

120222 Song Seung-heon Becomes Time-Traveling Dr. Jin

Song Seung-heon Becomes Time-Traveling Dr. Jin

by | February 20, 2012

Looks like Song Seung-heon is heading to cable with all the other big stars, with the upcoming — get this — fantasy-medical-fusion-sageuk, time-traveling, manga-adapted series titled Time Slip Dr. Jin. Phew, that’s a mouthful.

Time Slip Dr. Jin follows an accomplished doctor, Jin Hyuk, who travels back 150 years to the later Joseon era. He comes from a long line of doctors and is a genius himself, with the distinction of being the youngest ever to be admitted to medical school, the youngest to graduate at the top of his class, and the youngest neuroseurgeon. Ah, so Song Seung-heon’s getting his Brain after all.

Because of his own brilliance, however, Dr. Jin is unable to tolerate mistakes in others, and therefore possesses a cold, severe personality. So, not Dr. Funpants then. Basically he’s Doogie, but with the bedside manner of House.

But! Dr. Jin suffers from love’s wounds, and through a mysterious power, finds himself transported from 2012 to 1860. Once a doctor, always a doctor, and he begins treating people in that time period, but he’s hampered by the rudimentary medical advancements of that era, and has to fashion medical implements and make medicines himself. In the process, he becomes “a genuine doctor.” In other words, he grows a heart to match that brain.

The premise is an adaptation of a Japanese manga that was turned into a drama in 2009 titled JIN. The Japanese version appears to have won a number of accolades, which never hurts. But I’m expecting the Korean version to tweak enough things to make the drama its own thing, and it sure has enough influences to draw upon from K-dramaland already: It’s like Faith meets Brain meets Operation Proposal meets Jejoongwon.

By some accounts, Time Slip Dr. Jin will air on new general-programming cable station Channel A (home of Color of Woman and Bachelor’s Vegetable Store). However, a few stories are treading more cautiously, saying that the production is still considering going with a broadcast station.

120220 Editors Note: Kim Jaejoong To Assume New Drama Role As Kim Kyung-Tak

Kim Jaejoong, JYJ member and co-star/heart-throb of “Protect The Boss”, an award-winning drama series that had us laughing on the edge of our seats, is now embarking on a new role in the drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin”–an adaptation of a manga series. Portraying Kim Kyung-tak, a sword wielding, swashbuckling warrior from a prestigious line of fighters, Jaejoong goes head-to-toe with Dr Jin, portrayed by Song Seung -heon to protect his lady fair.
It will be interesting to see the ins and outs of this adventurous time travel epic.
With everyone holding their breath as to what drama role would be next for the now famous Mr. Mu-Won, I would say that this time travel saga rumored to be hosted by Channel A is a fitting choice.

Of course, with several time-travel dramas ready to take us into the age of enlightenment, including Park Yoochun’s comedic drama “Rooftop Prince’, I dare say that there is something entertaining in progress for us all.

Yunho Shouting At Fans…Turns Out It Was “For The Safety Of The Fans”

After a video of TVXQ at the Thailand airport was revealed, it has become a hot issue.

Recently, videos and photos were posted on an online community with the title “Yunho shouting at fans”. This post was chronicling the airport appearance of TVXQ who were leaving Thailand after ending their schedule in a visit to Thailand on February 9th for a CF shooting.

Although it was a situation where the time for TVXQ to board the plane was running tight, there was an overwhelming number of fans who had gathered, making it difficult to even move forward for a single step. It was a situation which even the bodyguards could not control, so U-Know Yunho eventually took the lead personally to resolve the problem.

U-Know Yunho took off the sunglasses he was wearing and shouted “Excuse me” in the direction of the fans. Although at first glance it seemed like he was angry, it was the best solution for the safety of the fans and in order to be able to board the plane.

In particular, according to fan accounts depicting that situation, U-Know Yunho personally helped fans up after they had fallen down. It was known that even in an urgent situation, he was looking out for the safety of the fans.

Netizens who had seen the videos showed off a variety of responses, “The angry look of him saying “Excuse me” was funny yet cool” and “In that situation, it was very cool of him to catch hold of the hands of the fans who had fallen down” etc.

Meanwhile, TVXQ will be releasing a new single album “STILL” in Japan on March 14th.
