[Trans] 110630 Kim Junsu, âI would like to act out musicals in theatres too.ââ
âFalling in love with musicals, next year, the year after next, I would like to act out musicals in theatres.â Moving onward from Xiah Junsu to Kim Junsu, he met us in a cafe at Cheongdam-dong on the 29th.
Upon talking about musicals, this new actor who debuted in musical field for 2 years would passionately discussed with us, but when facing burdensome inquiries, he would be alike to the idol singer who debuted for 8 years, displaying his experiences and confidence.
Within the idols who challenged musicals, Kim Junsu is definitely the topic. Other than the subsequent lead acting of great works, the tickets that were sold out within a short time, the high performance fee etc, were the topics of discussion.
Even though the raging topics, why did you decided to step in with musicals from the start?
âItâs just the right timing. Although I did received projects from movies, dramas and there are free slots in between schedulesâŠ. but compared to anything, music is still the most important. So I was thinking since it a must to have music, why not take a try at musicals? When I first acted in musicals, I did not think that I would end up loving it. (laughs)â
After the debut musical âMozartâ, you were asked to lead in âTears of Heavenâ, this simply is a follow-up victory.
âI seems to have slightly understood what musical is about until recently. In the beginning, it felt very tiring even though thereâs no mistake made, now Iâm slowly learning through the amicable cooperation with the other actors⊠and starts to notice the reactions of the audience. Thus the musical performances for every day is different.â He continued introducing the so-called â3 seconds differenceâ on stage. âThere is a scene in Mozart where I followed the Baroness, how many seconds should I back-faced the audience after finishing my lines so that I can display to the audience the feel that I wanted? The most suitable timing is about 3 seconds. (laughs)â
Other than this, he was often pointed out that his delivery of lyrics was not as strong as professional musical actors.
âSinging in musical is totally different from singing songs. For example, the usage of âbandingâ (a singing technique where the note was dragged and blended into the next word) was not appropriate. The lyrics has to be sang out one word by one word. Compared to other actors, maybe it was not easily differentiate but it would still be better that l changed my way of singing.â
As a musical actor and actively as an idol singer, do you feel that you have slowly became closer to any character?
âBut if I were to stand on JYJâs stage now and to sing with my way of singing in musical, it would probably be a torture to the members. Even my hand signals has slowly increased. (laughs) I think for me right now, it is to slowly forwarding towards the way of âEven if I was a singer, Iâm also a musical actor.â Just as though thereâs a switch in between the two, where I can freely move around.â
There were a lot of controversies. Like the rumours of ten millions of performance fees and the ability to become the male lead due to the investment by the company (you belonged) etc. When asked about the question of âidol glamourâ, Kim Junsu surprisingly gave a calm and outright attitude while giving an answer.
âI understand that the choir department actors were able to stand on stage after working hard for a long while. I received this âgiftâ of being the lead actor after my hardwork as a singer, this is at least how my thought is. As for the high performance fee rumours, I think itâs not only in musical that there are such rumours right? No matter it be drama or CF, there were many issues for the receipt of fees that broke records too⊠Itâs just that the musical industry was so bad and thus the unique appearance of such rumours, right?â
Do you have any contributions that you wanted to do or ambitions that you have in the future involvement into musicals?
âNext year, or the year after, I would like to act in theatres. If I can be ambassador-like and create the effect of supporting musicals, it would be a rather grateful thing. But to do till such, the first step should be having audience who watch, and to have the love of the public, then the public performance can be a success, and followed on by more investors. Therefore, the production company and actors will be able to create a more fruitful work, and afterwhich wouldnât there be a possible promotion to overseas?â
Due to the contract issue between JYJ and ex-company SM, the broadcasting activities were restricted by their contract. (T/N: JYJ was not directly restricted due to contractual problems. Refer to legal news.)
âItâs currently still in an unclear state. Due to the difficulties currently, we just have to try working in other directions, this is very exhausting. If there were things we wished to do, weâd have to think about how to do it in another way, and then not to give up on any hope.â
He is currently a young adult of 24 years old, are there any plans for army enlistment? He jokingly replied, âWhen performing the story in âTears of Heavenâ, I ever thought, âWhy not bring forward the enlistment, it actually would be not a bad experience, isnât it!â.â
âI received a health check last February and of course itâs a must to enlist for army. (laughs) The results for the health check is 3rd grade (note: 3rd grade is for person who had injuries but still able to be enlisted in army and an approximate of 22 months.) Thereâs a bit of disappointment for the results. Iâm a man afterall, and has the pride of a man, I thought the results will be of 1st grade. Hopefully I can be enlisted after maximizing the activities I can do.â
We asked about the greatest change after involving in musicals.
âDuring the empty period (lawsuit with SM), musical came to me, and now I only listened to music from musicals. I hope to become an actor who is able to inspire and touch the audience.â

(June. Don’t worry about the vocals. Your voice will strengthen from use and application and even now you have a uniqueness of tone and expression that the others do not possess. <3 Momma Cha P.S. You will always be a man to us. Your personal sacrifice and injuries were in the line of duty.
Editors Note: ‘Fan Means More than Fanatic’
The Merriam-Webster 11th Collegiate Dictionary 2002 edition features this definition of fanatic: ‘marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion’. Using this definition as a base to define exactly what the term ‘fan’ denotes is as difficult as defining the word ‘color’.
There are so many variant shades and types of fans in the world– to classify them all in one definition is almost impossible.
Fan can mean someone who generally likes another person’s approach to singing, dancing, writing, acting, golfing, etc. , or it can mean, on the extreme scale, someone who is willing to give up their everyday existence to emulate and embrace another individual’s talents and personality. Where do we as JYJCY, JYJ, or HoMin fans fall on this measurement line?
It is going to vary from individual to individual based upon several factors:
a. age
b. gender
c. country of origin
d. musical preferences
c. personal intentions……….
I could keep going, but there are too many reasons to list as to why someone reacts to another person so intensely, especially within a fandom base of such world-wide status. What is important is not so much whether the fan supports their person(s) of choice but how they support them. Normally support comes in the form of buying albums, items, etc.; and attending concerts that are produced by (in our instance) five energetic, talented, appealing young males who invest more energy into us than we give. What goes beyond the norm is the intensity of love that motivates the fandom to give beyond that energy level into the realm of supporting not only the stars(s) themselves, but also offering support to the causes that these individual stars embrace. Then you have the possibility of a true ‘fanatic’ that fits the dictionary definition–someone who is extremely supportive and who loves unconditionally.
I believe that I can safely say that the majority of us fit this description. That means that the term fanatic, which can be viewed as negative, becomes a positive. I believe that JYJCY and many others have good moral fiber that helps inspire others to philanthropic behavior. The recipients of this benevolence — the young and the elderly; hungry, handicapped or homeless( just as examples) ; or just those who have need of some encouragement will benefit from the love poured out on them by the fandom.
What would make me extremely happy would be the ability of this fandom to pour out that kind of love on each other. Strength and resources increase in proportion to numbers. A unified fandom would mean more work accomplished and much greater influence. I applaud our sisters and brothers, and encourage them to keep pursuing causes that help to make this world a better place.

The fandom culture, that used to chase after stars, is experiencing a change.
The generation of âSasaeng Fansâ(Fans who chase starsâ private lives) and just writing letters to stars is over.
Recently, fans have been spreading the culture of giving back to the community and getting their stars a better image and more publicity.
âRice instead of flowers⊠Even creating a scholarship fund in their celebrityâs name
These days, itâs hard to find ordinary flower stands at musical concerts or concert venues. This is because fans have been replacing these flower stands with ârice standsâ through donation drives.
At the venue of the successful musical âMozart!â, the entrance of the building is decorated by the ârice standsâ donated by Kim Junsuâs fans. âRice standsâ from other stars such as Eom Gi Joon, Song Chang Ui and Park Eun Tae fill the entrance as well. These ârice standsâ have been distributed to social welfare centers, retirement homes and to the elderly who are living alone.
Kim Hyun Joongâs fanclub became a hot topic last year when it created a scholarship fund with their favorite starâs name titled âThe Kim Hyun Joong Scholarship Fundâ. After donating 14 million Won to a childcare center, they have been monetarily supporting students who leave the center due to their age.
Fans of JYJâs Park Yoochun have been donating at regular intervals since 2010. They collected a total of 40 million Won this year and after donating 10 million Won to a social welfare center last year, theyâve been helping child patients since then.
Lee Minhoâs fanclub âMizunoâ donated 20 million Won to celebrate his birthday. A different fanclub of Lee Minho also donated alms to a devastated district through Unicef and theyâve been avid supporters of the Green Energy campaign.
âTake care of our star..Sending lunchboxes to staff
When stars spend the night filming on location, fans prepare lunch boxes for the members of the staff as well. Everyone knows about fans making lunch boxes for their celebrities to ensure that they donât skip their meals, but recently, fans have begun preparing lunch boxes for staff members as well. They take care of their starsâ image by leaving a message with the starsâ names on each lunch box.
These lunch boxes are delivered to a variety of locations such as concert venues, and filming locations for movies or CFs. At the press conference of âYouâve Fallen For Meâ, which features CN Blueâs Jung Yong Hwa, fans impressed the reporters and production company crew by providing everyone with lunch boxes.
Not only do these fans help maintain the image of their stars, but they also help the morale of the star. As more fans buy lunch boxes in large quantities for their fans, new âsupport lunchbox businessesâ have sprung up.
âMoney is no issue⊠They even create newspaper ads
It has become a natural thing for fans to celebrate starsâ birthdays or promote albums through advertisements. Fanclubs collect money for a variety of mediums such as newspapers, buses, and electronic scoreboards.
âGirlsâ Generationâ fans have been garnering attention for making newspaper ads for the birthdays of the members. Last year, their fanclub âHwaSuEunHwaâ created newspaper ads for members such as Seohyun, Sunny, Soo Young, Jessica and Yoona.
When Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu, who have transformed from âTVXQâ to âJYJâ, released their music essay in January, fans hired 120 buses across the nation to hang advertisements for the group on the side of the vehicles. To make it happen, it was said that the fans collected a total of 200 million Won. After this, JYJ fans also placed ads in 21 subway stations.
A broadcasting representative stated, âThough the current mature culture of the fans who think of their starâs image is desirable, there is still fierce competition amongst the fans in certain areas,â and âI hope that the fandom culture becomes something mature and truly for the star and his or her well-being.â

[Fanaccount] JYJ World Tour in Busan [11-12 June 2011]
So finally, I was there.. I was in Busan for JYJ concert.. after so many weeks of doubt, frustration, anger, despair and tears, I could get those so precious tickets for the most wonderful event of 2011.. Thank you so much Monica and Reina for getting me those tickets.. without you, I would have never attended the first tour directed by Kim Jaejoong, and it would have been one of my biggest regret as a fan.. something I wouldnt have forgiven myself.. This concert, I knew I couldnt miss it.. so Iâll never thank you enough for giving me this wonderful opportunity..
The so precious âtickets to Heavenâ
Thank you also Jenny and Kyung Yeon for accompanying me during a part of this journey, this was so amazing to meet you and experience those great moment together⊠you girls are the best!!
Anyway, so my journey in Busan started pretty funnyly indeed.. when I got in the Limousine bus to go from Gimhae airport to the hotel, my sister thought it was a great idea to call me at this moment.. so yeah, suddenly I heard the ringtone âI want you in my plans.. I want you in my plans babyyyyâ.. okie great.. now the whole bus know the reason why I am in Busan.. lolz.. and when I finally arrived in Seomyeon area, I walked the wrong way looking for my hotel, and I lost myself and my luggages in the backalleys, thanksfully a taxi driver stopped for me.. then I realized I was really not far away.. I paid only 2600 wons.. lolz.. when I finally arrived, I was too exhausted to do anything else.. so I stayed there in my room and relaxed..
The very cute subway card in Busan
When I saw this one, I picked it right away..
The second day, Jenny and me finally met.. we found each other easily at Seomyeon station thanks to the phone hehe.. and first surprise, when we were about to take the subway to Haeundae beach, we saw Jaejoong subway ads.. such a proud feeling..
Our director.. our pride
then as we planned before, we went to visit Haeundae beach and the aquarium.. this so beautiful aquarium where Jaejoong took pictures with his friends (and definitely a must see.. even though I visited the aquarium in Valencia (Spain) before, I never saw so many varieties of fishes).. also we were lucky because not a long time ago, there was this famous festival where artists build sand castles and any kind of sand sculptures..
Busan Aquarium where Jae took the picture
Saturday 11th june~ Goods and Concert
I woke up early this morning.. too much excitement and impatience in my heart.. no matter how many times Iâll see JYJ in concert, I think Iâll always get this feeling, as if it was my very first time, all over again.. no matter how many times, I think the withdrawal syndrome and the emptiness I feel when everything is over will never stop.. Iâll never get enough of them.. never.. theyâre just too amazing.. do they even know what they do to me.. to many of us..
Anyway, so after eating my breakfast, I walked happily to the station, where I was supposed to meet Kyung Yeon, and later Jenny.. having absolutely no clue where was this station, I lost myself in Busanjin-gu.. lolz.. when I finally found it, I got to know (via Monica on twitter) that sadly our Xiahpwa was sick in the morning and we could meet only later.. so I headed alone to Sajik stadium for the goods.. clumsy me stopped at Sajik station (the name fit the name of the stadium.. lolz).. but when I exited there, there was no souls around.. lolz.. Besides, no stadium in sight.. so yeah, I remembered Seoul, Sports Complex station.. it was the same name, so I went back to Sports Complex station and found some fans to follow and Asiad Stadium in sight (looking at it, I couldnt help but thinking how nice the concert would have been inside.. but somehow, I loved how close we were from the boys during the concert, due to the not so big venue)..
Sajik Indoor Gymnasium
To reach the stadium from the station, you have to walk quite a bit, and that day was very very hot, the sun was burning (I even caught a sunburn).. so I was worried weâll have to wait for too long.. but when I arrived, the line was still ok.. its just the goods hadnt started selling then.. lolz.. so I waited in line with others.. cursing myself for not bringing my umbrella.. yeah, in my country, you use an umbrella only for the rain.. it was not raining when I left my hotel, so I decided to not bring it with me.. huge mistake!!! no umbrella, no cap, nothing, I was in a very uncomfortable situation and thankfully, besides me there was a very sweet korean fan, who shared half of her umbrella with me, protecting me from the sun.. Thank you so much, adorable fan.. this JYJ family is really wonderful and caring.. somehow, she reminded me a lot of this fan in Seoul, who lent a blanket to my sister and me.. maybe she was the same person indeed.. anyway, so we waited for the goods, surrounded by fans speaking korean, japanese, chinese.. and while waiting, Jenny and later Kyung Yeon joined me, so we could grab our goods..
Goods for Busan concert
Then we left and at the subway station, you could see many JYJ ads on the wall.. Sports Complex station was all about JYJ.. so beautiful.
JYJ ads in Sports Complex Station
Anyway, Kyung Yeon led us everywhere we asked for, buying Tio for us, then to NII store, and eating korean food.. then she checked if our lightsticks were worked fine.. and bad luck, Jennyâs lightstick wasnt working.. so we headed back to the venue to change it.. haha.. Kyung Yeon took care of everything then (she is such a lively and amazing girl.. it was something to witness her talking on the phone with Monica.. she is so funny.. but also sweet and caring), while Jenny and me walked around, taking pictures of the venue, the banners, the so amazing Jaejoong bus, and the fans also..
Kim Jaejoong, Our Director, Our Pride
Yoochunâs banner
Junsuâs banner
JYJ World Tour banner in Busan
JYJ fans all around the venue~
The diversity of this fandom never fails to amaze me.. any age (children to pretty older women), any gender (yeah, we saw few fanboys around), any nationality or race.. I believe no other group than JYJ has such a âcoloredâ fandom.. and to me, it proves their talent as artists.. theyâre one of a kind.. I wish Korea would understand this and protect them, because theyâre truly the best ambassadors overseas⊠anyway, later we sat on the floor waiting, and we could listen the boys rehearsing inside already.. Get Out.. Empty.. raising our excitement to the highest.. after a while, we could see waiting lines forming, so we followed one too.. and such a loooong waiting line.. its hard to believe we were âonlyâ 10,000 fans.. it looked like so much more.. at first, we thought we were not so far away from the door, but indeed, the waiting line was leading behind the stadium to go back to this same door, moving just like a snake!!!!!! we were so tired already, and the concert didnt even start.. haha.. Kyung Yeon was worried to fall asleep in front of Junsu.. lolz.. as if it could happen!!
Anyway, once inside the venue, we realized our seats were absolutely awesome.. 2nd floor pretty much in front of the smaller stage (at the right), first row somehow.. this was the best!! *thank you Moni!!*.. then on our seats we could find the yellow lightstick with explanations for use written in korean and english.. it was very very well organized..
Yellow lightstick and explanation
Ah this yellow lightstick that kept glowing all night long,
lighting my hotel room, as if I was still at the concert.. lolz
And while waiting for the beginning of the show, I looked around, witnessing the venue filling up little by little and admiring the wonderful stage setting.. work of a genius.. as the venue was filling up, the red lights glowing (some green lights also for my JaeJae), the excitement was growing more and more.. we could hear Boyâs letter and In Heaven music playing in background..
The venue filling up little by little
then they played the flashmob on the screen, so I started rehearsing for it (rehearsal was very much needed, as I never danced it again after the concerts in Seoul last november lolz).. fans around me were doing the same haha.. anyway, then they turned off the lights, and The Beginning music started playing with the pictures introduction on the screen.. the green lasers flashing all around the venue, raising up even more (if possible) our excitement.. fans kept screaming when their bias was appearing on the screen lolz.. then suddenly, the boys were thrown from under the stage onto the stage.. and oh wonderful surprise, the one appearing in front of my eyes was Jaejoong.. how lucky and I didnt even prepare my camera then.. haha.. but my eyes were so focused on him, that now I am unable to tell you where were Junsu and Yoochun.. even though I believe Yoochun was on the main stage, and Junsu on the small stage at the left..
Jaejoong performing Empty on the stage in front of me
Short Fancam of JYJ singing Nine
JYJ performing Be My Girl (I think.. lolz)
Anyway, that night , we had the chance to have âBe my girlâ performed on the small stage in front of us.. not really the small stage, but the path leading to it, and they were facing the right side of the crowd.. and so, right in front of our eyes, we could see perfectly Junsuâs hips moves (profile side *yum yum*).., I am Jae biased, but I must say without any guilt, that Junsuâs hips moves during âBe my girlâ is a sight for the eyes.. so incredibly sexy.. our Xiahpwa besides me was sure very pleased.. lolz.. Also, Junsu and Yoochunâs solo were performed in this same stage.. so when âI can soarâ started playing, Kyung Yeon screamed âJunsuuuuâ just when the venue became suddenly silent.. lolz.. I am sure Junsu could feel the love.. If it had been during the ment, I am sure the boys would have teased hehe.. Junsuâs solo is really beautiful and the choregraphy looks enchanting with the dancer dancing like a butterfly around him.. while the choregraphy for Yoochun and Jaejoongâs solo are made to tease the fangirls!!! very hot, sexy and bold.. and I think it would be interesting to compare Jaejoongâs first solo performance in Bangkok, with this performance in Busan.. performance after performance, he became more daring, touchy-feely and natural with the female dancers.. maybe because of the good response from his fans who somehow wished to see him doing sexy things like Yoochun.. lolz yeah, Jaejoongâs fans are indeed strange.. we want to see him play with the girls.. Anyway, talking about his solo, it was not performed on the stage in front of us.. I knew it wouldnt after we had Junsu and Yoochunâs solo there.. but still, as Jae biased, I hoped it would be, so I was a bit sad *greedy much lolz*.. nonetheless, I couldnt take my eyes off of him.. Jaeâs voice singing this song is mesmerizing.. who wouldnt dream to have him saying those words to us.. ah this is love.. indeed, their solo really have a blues atmosphere (not sure its the right word, I dont know how to explain.. you know, just like the atmosphere of those lonely nights.. hmm..) and the choregraphies and the overall stage atmosphere really fits those moments..
Junsu performing I Can Soar
Yoochun performing I Love You
Jaejoong performing Still In Love on Sunday 12th
Also, I must say how much I love âNameless song part 1âł sang live.. rap may not be my favorite style of music, but the emotion and anger Yoochun put into his rap gives you goosebumps.. I can still remember perfectly Yoochunâs expressions while rapping.. so much angst.. then Jaejoong and Junsuâs heavenly voices blending so perfectly, are soothing, like a lullaby.. calming your broken heart on the verge of tears.. and you listen silently, overwhelmed with emotions, you just cant say a word.. this song is really meant to be sung live, sharing all their emotions with the fans who knows more than anyone else what they have been through.. those fans who suffered together with them.. their family.. the JYJ family..
Jaejoong performing.. and I loved the clothes he was wearing there.. so adorable Jaejoong
JYJ interacting with the fans~
Anyway, later they performed one of the fans favorite âChajattaâ.. Junsu and Jaejoong started singing their part.. and then they called Yoochun.. as if he was lost somewhere, playing around haha.. it was so cute.. and as always, they really dont need to sing the âSaranghae, nul saranghaeâ part, because the fans sing it so loud to tell the boys how much we love them.. this saranghae truly comes from the deepest of our heart.. and God knows we love them our boys and I am proud to say that the âFallen Leavesâ yellow ocean project was a great success.. when we started hearing the first notes of the song, we turned off the red lights and prepared our yellow lightsticks (both days, I had hard time to light it.. mostly because I was worried to ruin it when bumping it hard.. lolz) and suddenly the whole venue was colored in yellow..
The whole venue colored in yellow during Fallen Leaves ~ JYJ lets start again..
I dont know if the boys expected something like this, but I have no doubt they were deeply moved while performing this song.. they looked so happy after the song, talking and joking around (how I wish I understood then).. but when Junsu said âone, two, threeâ in korean, Kyung Yeon took my yellow lightstick to hide it inside the bag) and then we turned back on our red lightsticks.. lolz.. ah those boys powers are supernatural.. their wishes are our command.. lolz.. and so then, they started singing âBoyâs letterâ surrounded by the red ocean.. ah this song is such a beautiful love letter to the fans.. feeling how loved we are, itâs impossible to not love those boys to death.. anyway, later âBe my girlâ remix started playing, it was our (fans) moment to perform and better perform well to show the boys how hard we worked for them too!!.. so we got up (luckily there was no seats before us, so Kyung Yeon and me had some space to dance the flashmob.. its such a high moment, so exciting when the whole venue dance together with the boys, making one with them.. and the wave was absolutely amazing, just like during a WC soccer game.. then I thought of how proud and happy our boys must be at this moment.. and the second day, the wave was even more awesome.. we kept playing around.. lolz.. after the song, the boys wanted us to continue the wave as we stopped after one turn only during the song.. they didnt get enough so we started it again.. but then, when they asked us to stop, we didnt.. we kept waving and waving.. so they laughed and Jaejoong sat on the floor, laughing too much because we didnt want to stop.. and they had to turn off the lights for us to stop doing the wave.. lolz.. then they left the stage, and we started chanting âJYJ, JYJ, JYJâ and we kept chanting those 3 magical letters, without fail, until they came back onstage for the encore.. until Jae appeared on the stage right in front of me to sing Get Out.. how I love my seat that first night.. how I love this song.. now I think about it, they changed the opening choregraphy of it, as they were on the 3 different stages to start the song (well, I think.. I cant remember well.. hmm).. and my eyes were glued on Jaejoong, until he joined the main stage, Yoochun and Junsu.. ah it always amazed me so much how fans are screaming happily when Yoochun shout .. and those two days, I was one of those screaming happily too.. haha..

Then it was empty remix, how hot it is when our Junsu does the handstand.. that boy, he is talented in everything.. he can do absolutely everything.. to me he was always the best dancer and still is.. wow.. weâre all very high when the first notes of In Heaven starts playing.. but then Sajik gymnasium listens quietly, mesmerized by those boys voices, who literally send you to Heaven.. singing the song with everything they got.. all their feelings, emotions and sorrow.. there is no words strong enough to describe the emotions then.. this song is beautiful, and when JYJ perform it live, it becomes a masterpiece.. the harmony of their voices blending so perfectly.. you dont want it to end, you dont want to let them go and the âkajimaâ takes all its meaning.. but already they are saying goodbye, ready to leave the stage.. and we were left speechless, so Yoochun left the stage chanting âJYJ JYJâ.. and we followed him, and started chanting âJYJ JYJâ.. but on Sunday, he didnt need to tell us anything, when they thanked the fans, ready to leave, fans already started chanting âJYJ JYJâ.. the second day, I was sitting in the angle where they left the stage, so I could see them until they disappeared backstage.. how I wish they could have stayed longer.. how I wish the concert could just last forever..
JYJ kamsahamnida⊠JYJ kajima~
Then we had to leave.. so after we joined Jenny, we went to the subway station.. it was such a crazy and scary experience.. We were so many waiting for the train to come, and when it was finally there, fans were pushing to fit in it.. there was this young man, who wanted to stop at the station, and he couldnt even leave because he kept being pushed back inside.. some fans were screaming, scared to fall.. once inside, I didnt know anymore where were Kyung Yeon and Jenny, but I could listen Kyung Yeon calling my name.. lolz.. also an ahjussi talked to me in the subway.. I was so ashamed, I couldnt speak one word of korean, but he made the effort to speak to me in english!! and he was probably more than 60 years old.. so sweet of him..
Back to the hotel, pic of the goods I bought
Sunday 12th June~ Second day of the concert
That day, I arrived at the venue a bit before the lunch time.. I wanted to spend the whole day at the venue and enjoy the atmosphere.. besides, I had to get my ticket at 1pm.. as it was the right time, I walked to the tickets booth, and there when I showed the paper, they asked me for my ID *shock*.. so I explained that my friend bought the ticket for me, and they asked me to call my friend.. thanksfully, Reina gave me her phone number before in case there was some problems to get the tickets, so I let the woman calling her.. lolz.. what a fear though.. anyway, after this, I went to get my Herose goods at Jaejoong bus (I was supposed to get them the day before, but I didnt dare to get into the bus.. I was not sure if it was allowed.. lolz).. anyway, so this time, I got inside the bus where two very nice girls were waiting.. then I explained I was there to get the goods I ordered online and so they gave them to me hehe..
Jaejoongâs goods from Herose, that I ordered online few weeks ago~
When I left the bus, I kept meeting people with those cute fans.. Jaejoongâs, Junsuâs or Yoochunâs.. and I couldnt find this anywhere.. I so wanted one.. Jaejoongâs one.. where it was written âGo together Jaejoongâ.. so I thought we could get them in Jaejoongâs bus.. so I went back there.. but at this moment, there was two security guards, so I tried to explain them I wanted to talk to the girls inside the bus.. I even showed them the bag with my goods, asking if the girls were still inside.. and I think they thought I was looking for Jaejoong inside the bus.. they kept telling me he was not there.. I would never dream they would let me in the bus if Jaejoong was inside, even if I asked nicely.. lolz.. ah I feel so stupid when I cant speak a word of korean and even my english is not so understandable.. but anyway, then I asked around to know where they could get this nice Jaejoongâs fan.. but time for me to understand, get in the line for it, there was no fans left anymore.. I was so upset and angry at myself to not have asked earlier.. oh well.. then I sat for a little bit, immersing myself in the before concert atmosphere.. at times, you could listen fans screaming, and so other fans were running, thinking the boys were around.. lolz.. Also, I could see the red balloons distributed by all fans.. and listen those balloons that kept bursting.. but in the end, there was no âall fanâ project inside the venue.. I must say I feel Korean fans moved on, more than anywhere else.. just like JYJ.. theyâre already all for JYJ and JYJ only.. they want to protect the boys and do everything to make them happy..
Anyway, later I joined the line.. so this time, I didnât have to wait and walk for too long before entering the venue and I could find my seat pretty easily hehe.. but to be honest, I liked my Saturday seat better than this one.. this time, I was pretty much behind the big stage, in the angle with the pole hiding a bit my view.. but it was ok.. as I said before, to me the most important was to be there and attend the concert, no matter the seats.. anywhere, as long as I could be there.. Sitting besides me, there was a very sweet korean noona fan.. we discussed a bit, I discovered she was a Chunsa and I proudly said I was Jaejoongâs.. lolz.. she then explained me about Fallen Leaves project, saying she was there yesterday already (sitting in the same area as me too.. lolz).. and she was in Seoul last November for the concert too.. wow.. itâs so nice to meet this JYJ family.. so many sweet and adorable fans.. also she explained me a bit of what happened the night before.. I understand some things might be upsetting, but we fans should know better than anyone else that due to some circumstances, the boys canât perform in the venues they deserve.. invisible dirty hands make things difficult for them.. so lets be understanding and happy with what we get.. because what we get is truly wonderful.. it comes from deep inside their heart.. and Jaejoongâs tweet broke my heartâŠ
Jaejoong: Ah⊠really⊠our fans, I am just too thankful for⊠Before, I said that I would perform if there is even one person left⊠But now I think that I will suffer terribly if the family that I love were to disappear from me⊠I think I shall work very very hardâŠ

Anyway, during this second day of concert, they changed few things indeed.. and many songs were performed on the big stage (the one in front of me).. I couldnât believe my luck, but Jaeâs solo was performed on this stage that night.. lolz.. this night was once again like a dream.. such a wonderful dream that you beg for not waking up from it.. you want it to last forever.. but this is impossible.. sadly, I cant understand korean and this is such a big regret.. I was there witnessing their laughter and interaction with korean fans.. yet I couldnt understand and I was thinking âIf I start learning korean now, will I be able to understand them one year later?â.. will dedication and love help me? lolz.. during one of the ment, a fan sitting not so far away from me screamed something and she got Jaejoong replying to her.. lolz.. so then many other fans were trying to get his attention too.. lolz.. and the wave after âBe my girlâ fanmob was such an amazing moment where we truly played with them and they loved this as much as we did.. If you compare to Thanksgiving live in Tokyo Dome last year (exactly one year ago), those boys are now genuinely happy.. then it was their very first concert as JYJ, they were probably very concerned about the fans react.. their future was so uncertain.. but now.. now they moved on together with their faithful fans, they know what they want and where theyâre going.. theyâre now confident as JYJ.. and yeah, in the end, itâs JYJ.
Jaejoong~ah.. Kim Director.. the direction of this concert was like no other.. the stage design, choreographies, light effects, stage costumes, songs diaporama, this is the work of a genius.. a person who worked very hard on every little details.. a wonderful man who created the perfect stage for his fans and his members.. I am so proud to be your fan Jaejoong~ah.. I know my heart made the right choice, youâre truly one of a kind.. youâre the best, youâre forever my number one..
This concert was so special for so many reasons.. this concert belongs to JYJ.. its theirs from A to Z.. their very own songs, their direction, their creativity, their talent.. their sweat, tears and blood.. this magical concert is fully theirs.. So proud of my boys.. I am so loving you.. when and where will we meet again?! will you come to Europe? if not, Iâll come to you again.. if JYJ concert was held on the moon, I guess Iâll go there too.. once you tasted a bit of JYJ heaven, you cant live without it.. just like a sweet drug, it becomes addictive.. weâll meet again, Iâll make sure of this.. Jaejoong, Junsu, Yoochun, see you soon.. saranghae~
On Monday, I went to the venue again.. and then the withdrawal syndrom hit me hard.. the venue was so empty.. suddenly my world and Busan were so empty.. âUn seul ĂȘtre vous manque et tout est dĂ©peuplĂ©â
Sajik Gymnasium venue the day after the concert.. so empty..
Some other moments of my Busan trip~
During my journey in Busan, I couldnt miss doing some JYJ shopping.. one thing I wanted absolutely was the new Nature Republic photobook.. so as soon as I could find a store, I asked them if they had this photobook, then I got my shopping basket and bought NR products.. the store was full packed, it was almost impossible to move around inside it.. lolz.. and in the end, it turned out they didnt have the new NR photobook (maybe they didnt have it anymore, I couldnt say).. I didnât understand, because she first talked to me in japanese (people in Busan speak very well japanese, and a bit less english).. so I got the 2010 photobook, with the cute cardboards and 2 posters of each members.. I need to find a way to get the new photobook!!.. lolz.. when I was about to leave the store, they asked me if I came for JYJ concert.. lolz..
Nature Republic, NII, TiO.. those boys, theyâll be the end of me..
Also, the day before my departure, I went back to NII store, which is in the commercial center in front of the concert venue.. there I bought two nice shirts for my sister (missed so much my sister who couldnt come with me this time..).. then I asked for Jaejoong poster, but she didnt have it anymore, japanese fans probably grabbed all the stock before me.. lolz.. only Junsu poster was left (Junsu is the king in his homeland.. so fans already got his poster long time ago.. while Jaejoong is the king for japanese fans hehe).. but my boys are my boys, if no Jaejoong poster, give me Junsuâs one after all.. and indeed, not only she gave me JYJâs NII agenda, Junsu poster, but she also gave me Jaejoong poster that was sticked in the store.. it was so sweet of her.. and when she asked me if I was a fan and went to the concert, I proudly said I came for it..
NII Store
Some of my JYJ goods~
And I believe Busan was totally under JYJ spell.. when I was doing some souvenirs shopping in the shopping mall underground in Seomyeon, I entered a CD store and âI can soarâ was playing.. so I listened, singing along hehe.. and indeed, I realized they were playing âThe Beginningâ album, so I stayed there until I listened all the songs!!.. haha.. later while I was eating something at CaffĂ© Bene, they played Empty.. so so nice.. another small detail, as if everything reminds me of my boys.. but while I was walking in the streets, I suddenly heard âFor youâ playing.. but it was not sung by Jaejoong though..
Some other anecdotes.. when leaving Busan, taxi driver asked me where I was from and why I came to Busan.. so I proudly said I came here for JYJ concert.. lolz.. also when I was buying souvenirs at the airport, I carried my Jaejoong goods backpack, and through it we could see Junsu (pic from NR bag).. and the woman there was like âoh Xiah Junsu!!â.. so I was wondering âXiah Junsu? where? where?â before I realized she was looking at my bag haha.. so then we started talking a bit about the boys, I said I came for their concert, and she said theyâre very good singers and her favorite is Xiah.. hehe.. overall, before leaving, I made sure everyone knew I came to Busan for JYJ concert!!
JYJ fighting!!

[News] JYJâs Yoochun to narrate for a special MBC documentary
JYJâs Yoochun is lending his voice for a documentary. According to MBC, the idol will be narrating for the documentary, âThe Hometown Iâve Once Lived Inâ. It tells the story about Koreaâs small towns, which are slowly disappearing under the force of urban developments.
It specifically investigates a small country town in Kangwon-do that protested against a developing golf resort for six years; the townâs citizens tried to prevent being forced out of their homes.
The production team stated, âWe chose Yoochun to be the narrator in the hopes that his soft and kind voice will touch more viewers about the painful stories we all hold about our hometowns.â
They added, âWe explained the programâs special purpose and content to Yoochunâs team, and Yoochun gave a positive response [to them], thus agreeing to narrate.â
The documentary is set to air on June 17th.

The Dark Side of South Korean Pop Music

NEWS] 110614 The Dark Side Of South Korean Pop Music
Tohosomnia.net reports:
K-Pop sensations Girlsâ Generation on stage in Seoul
South Koreaâs pop industry is big business in Asia. As K-Pop sets its sights on Europe and the US, will this force a change in the way it treats its artists?
Selling singles is no way for a pop star to make money these days. Most artists find that touring and merchandise sales are more lucrative. So when it comes to concerts, size matters.
This is why the biggest date in the Korean pop calendar â the Dream Concert, at which up to 20 bands perform â is held in Seoulâs 66,800-seat World Cup Stadium.
Teenage crushes come here for a once-a-year date in a national love story, where commitment is measured in coloured balloons, and devotion is knowing all the words.
Most of the bands, like Super Junior and Wonder Girls, are household names; highly produced, sugary boy- and girl-bands with slick dance routines and catchy tunes.
But the industry also has a less glamorous side: a history of controversy and legal disputes over the way it treats its young artists, which it is still struggling to shake.
Fans of K-Pop star Rain helped him nab top spot in Timeâs list of influential people
K-Pop is a massive industry: global sales were worth over $30m (ÂŁ18m) in 2009, and that figure is likely to have doubled last year, according to a government website.
Industry leaders are also ambitious â Korean stars are beating a path to Japan, America and Europe. This month, South Koreaâs biggest production company, SM Entertainment, held its first European concert in Paris, part of a year-long world tour.
In April, Koreaâs king of pop, Rain, was voted the most influential person of the year by readers of Time magazine. And earlier this year, boy band Big Bang reached the top 10 album chart on US iTunes.
Follow the money
Korea is excited by what this new musical export could do for its image â and its economy.
But some of K-Popâs biggest success stories were built on the back of so-called slave contracts, which tied its trainee-stars into long exclusive deals, with little control or financial reward.
Rainbowâs singers put in the hours
Rainbow is a seven-member girl-band, each singer named after a different colour. If any group could lead to a pot of gold, you would think they would.
But Rainbow â currently in a seven-year contract with their management company, DSP â say that, despite working long hours for almost two years, their parents were âheartbrokenâ at how little they were getting paid.
A director for DSP says they do share profits with the group, but admits that after the company recoups its costs, there is sometimes little left for the performers.
K-Pop is expensive to produce. The groups are highly manufactured, and can require a team of managers, choreographers and wardrobe assistants, as well as years of singing lessons, dance training, accommodation and living expenses.
The bill can add up to several hundred thousand dollars. Depending on the group, some estimates say it is more like a million.
Musical exports
But music sales in South Korea alone do not recoup that investment. For all their passion, home-grown fans are not paying enough for K-Pop.
The CD industry is stagnant, and digital music sites are seen as vastly underpriced, with some charging just a few cents a song.
Girl band 4minute on tour in the Philippines
Bernie Cho, head of music distribution label DFSB Kollective, says online music sellers have dropped their prices too low in a bid to compete with pirated music sites.
âBut how do you slice a fraction of a penny, and give that to the artist? You canât do it,â he says.
With downward pressure on music prices at home, âmany top artists make more money from one week in Japan than they do in one year in Koreaâ, Mr Cho says.
Company representatives say concerts and advertising bring in far more than music sales. âOverseas markets have been good to us,â says one spokesman. South Korean musicians need to perform on home turf, but âJapan is where all the money isâ.
As acts start to make money overseas, he says this âbroken business modelâ â underpricing â is creeping into their activities abroad.
A former policy director at South Koreaâs main artistsâ union, Moon Jae-gap, believes the industry will go through a major upheaval. âBecause at the moment, itâs not sustainable,â he says.
Until that happens, he says, artists will continue to have difficulty making a living.
South Koreaâs government is keen to promote its new international identity, one many hope could rival Japanâs cool cultural image.
The only question is whether the industry ends up more famous for its music, or for its problems.

[News] 110615 Park Ready for Vietnam Charity Match
Star football players from Korea and Japan will play
ë°ì§ì± âëČ ížëš ì¶ê”Ź êżë돎ì íŹë§ ìŁŒêČ ë€â
Park Ji-sung speaks during a press conference at Incheon International Airport on Monday. [YONHAP]
Korean football star Park Ji-sung is set to participate in a charity football match in Vietnam tonight to help boost the development of the sport in Asia.
The 30-year-old Manchester United midfielder will join 15 other footballers in an âAsian Dream Cupâ football match against Vietnamese club Navibank Saigon at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City tonight.
The match is sponsored by Korean company Doosan Heavy Industries and is the first project of JS Foundation, a charity foundation Park established in February. The foundation previously announced plans to hold annual charity football matches around Asia.
Park said he chose Vietnam to be the foundationâs first destination because many people told him that football is really popular there.
The former Korean national team captain also added that the Southeast Asian nation caught his eye because it used to be divided, like Korea is today.
âI want to give hope to young kids in Vietnam who love football,â Park said on Monday at Incheon International Airport before departing to Vietnam. âAsian football is growing fast and the gap between the football powerhouses [and less-developed football nations] is getting closer. If I can give Asian players some kind of motivation, I think they will have the desire to become great football players.â
Meanwhile, Parkâs JS Foundation said that all revenue from the charity football match will be donated to help youth players in Vietnam. The foundation also said it will expand its youth football development program and support cultural exchanges for football players around Asia.
Prior to the charity match, JS Foundation held a youth football clinic yesterday, with more than a thousand people gathered to watch Park and other football players teach some skills to 60 youth players. The foundation also invited Korean idol group JYJ and actress Han Hye-jin to promote the match in Vietnam.
Park will play with several Korea national team members â such as AS Monaco striker Park Chu-young, Bolton Wanders winger Lee Chung-yong, Celtic FC midfielder Ki Sung-yueng and national-team retiree Lee Young-pyo â as well as some of his Japanese football friends. They include former Japanese international Kazuyoshi Miura, Hidetoshi Nakata, a 34-year-old retired two-time AFC Player of the Year winner and Grenoble FC midfielder Daisuke Matsui, who once played with Park on the Kyoto Purple Sanga of the J-League.
Miura is considered the face of Japanese football after scoring 55 goals for his country in international competitions. He still plays for Yokohama FC at 44-years-old.
Park said he also contacted Korean football player Koo Ja-cheol to join him in Vietnam, but Kooâs German club, Wolfsburg, denied his request to go.
In addition, Parkâs closest Manchester United teammate, Patrice Evra, said he will not be able to join Park due to commitments with the French national team. The 30-year-old left back was invited but promised Park he would play in next yearâs charity match.
Korean-Japanese Jong Tae-se, who plays for German club Vfl Bochum â internationally for North Korea â was also invited by Park but is not expected to play in the game due to a right knee injury. He will, however, travel with the charity squad.
Park said he personally contacted the players via phone and e-mail and asked them to participate. He added that he hopes the star-studded charity football match will be a catalyst for Asian football development.

[Trans] 110615 âMiss Ripleyâ Park Yoochun and Lee Da Hae transformed into handsome bike coupleâ
Looking sharp and dangerous. đ
On the MBC TV Monday-Tuesday drama âMiss Ripleyâ episode 6 broadcasted on the 14th, Park Yoochun and Lee Da Hae transformed into bike couple, both dating while wearing handsome black bike outfits and helmets.
In âMiss Ripleyâ, Park Yoochun who acted as Mondo Resort Groupâs successor, has been portraying his gentle image, but through this bike scene, it was the first time his wild and handsome manly charisma was exhibited. Lee Da Hae who acted as Jang Miri, changed her usual feminine style and came out in handsome bike outfit, play role as a bike couple with Park Yoochun.
This filming was done late last month in Itaewon and Banpo bridge and the bike they rode on is worth about 40 million won. According to staff, the two of them anticipated this bike scene a lot and smiled like a child during the filming. Especially for Park Yoochun who has a penchant for driving, he was delighted just by the ability to ride a bike.
The production company has expressed that Park Yoochun will be showing his manly charisma gradually in the drama and this riding scene hinted the progression of the storyline to a new level, thus hoping the audience to wait for it.
âMiss Ripleyâ is a melodrama that tells the story of a woman who unwillingly said a lie and this led to more lies, resulting in a danger that she would lose all the she had.
