JYJ Kim Junsu: Solo Album Released Under āRestrictionsā Circumstances
His first album was seen as a protest against JYJās restriction. To this, Kim Junsu felt disheartened.
When JYJ, who used to be a part of TVXQ, was resolving their contract with SM Entertainment, their company filed for their restriction from appearing on any music programmes or performances. The court later on ruled against the filing, however it was said that due to SM Entertainmentās strong influence, Korean broadcasting companies had to āshow some respect and gave inā. Though the filing for restriction was ruled as invalid, JYJ is still under restriction circumstances.
It has been 8 years since Kim Junsu debuted and when he released his solo album āTarantallegraā, he continued to be absent from all music programmes, causing rumours of the ārestrictionsā once again.

He helplessly said, āIt was not easy during the production. Especially under the circumstances knowing that I was not able to promote it on television programmes. Therefore I emphasized more on the vocal quality and MV filming. But what troubled me was that, the album was seen as me using my own energy to protest against certain issues.ā
Though he was unable to escape from the rumours, his album was a big sell-out. His Asia tour tickets were selling fast and almost every stop was sold out. The 17000 tickets in Seoul was in fact sold out in 15 minutes.
JYJ Park Yoochun envied Kim Junsuās solo album and expressed, āLooking at Junsuās album, itās as though my wish was fulfilled. I am proud of him and no one else can do it better than him. Therefore I want to thank him for making JYJ shine so brightly.ā

More details onĀ JYJĀ JunsuāsĀ upcoming repackaged solo album have been revealed.
The singer is currently in Los Angeles working with a long list of top staff members to perfect his album to the best of his ability.Ā C-JeS EntertainmentĀ stated,Ā āJunsu is currently recording English songs for his world tour, and there are plans for him to begin recording a music video shortly.ā
The representative continued, āWe cannot yet release the songās title and genre, but the album includes the participation ofĀ Sony Musicās composerĀ Bruce Automatic Vanderveer, who previously worked with the likes ofĀ Christina Aguilera,Ā The Wanted, andĀ Leona LewisĀ earlier this year.ā
Composer Automatic expressed,Ā āI was surprised byĀ XIA, as heās someone who truly sings from the heart. I thought weād need two days for his recording process, but we really only needed one. Throughout the recording, I couldnāt help but be impressed by his skills. Iām really glad to be able to work with him.ā
His music video will also be a collaboration with top names. Directed byĀ Marc Klasfeld, who has experience producing for āWe are Youngā, which was a recentĀ BillboardĀ hit, along withĀ Beyonce, Eminem, Jay-Z,Ā andĀ Far East Movement. He stated,Ā āI was surprised when I saw XIAās music video for āTarantallegraā. His performance was amazing, as is the same with his facial expressions and acting. Iām looking forward to working with him.ā
Junsu himself expressed,Ā āI earned a lot of confidence after releasing my worldwide album and going on a world tour. I feel that my confidence will build towards even better results. Iām glad that Iām working with such amazing people.ā
His first solo repackaged album will be released mid-August. Junsu will then go on a world tour until October, which includes concerts in North and South America as well as Europe.

Ā On July 16th, representatives fromĀ C-Jes EntertainmentĀ announced, ā[JYJ‘s]Ā Junsu, who is currently traveling on his Asia Tour, will also be holding a world tour in North America, South America, and Europe.ā
After having released his first solo album and sweeping music charts across the continent of Asia, Junsu appears to be ready to meet his global audience. And not surprisingly so, since despite this being Junsuās first time embarking on solo album activities, he has achieved great sales numbers even on charts abroad with his unique concept and 12 stylistically diverse songs.
CEO of C-JeS EntertainmentĀ Baek Chang JooĀ further expanded on Junsuās success, saying, āEver since Junsuās first public performance, his solo album has not only captivated the country, but also a wide area of Asia as well; as we were, of course, targeting markets overseas, it seems we have produced a world class music video. The awaited results were extraordinary. During Junsuās successful Asia tour, the number of love calls we received from areas such as North and South America would not stop flowing in, and thus we decided to launch a world tour.ā
The CEO continued to reveal, āFor this world tour, Junsu has put together and prepared a repackaged album. As this album will be targeting the world market, it will include an English single and a music video produced in America. Although we cannot further clarify our future plans, Junsu will be climbing the steps to fame in America.ā
One of these American parties interested in JYJās Junsu commented, āThere is great interest [and anticipation] for JYJās Junsuās world tour success throughout America. The title song,āTARANTALLEGRAā, not only attempted to draw in interest via the K-Pop Wave, it created its own, unique sensation; the music video has gathered high marks from parties throughout America as well. It seems that, after promoting as a soloist and single-handedly holding a world tour, Junsu has demonstrated the global interest [he has gathered].ā
It has been decided that Junsuās upcoming world tour will include stops in 2-3 cities per continent.Ā Currently, Junsu is still on his Asia tour, which started in Seoul, and is continuing throughout countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China. Next month, Junsu will be holding his final concert in Hong Kong.

C-JeS said, āKim Junsuās solo album was not just sold domestically but was targeted at Asian market. The MV is also produced for overseasā market. Right now the Asia tour is successfully being held, and the endless ālove callā from America and Europe resulted the decision in the world tour.ā
