A photobook of the ‘SM TOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR’, a string of concerts by SM singers, will be released on the 3rd of November.
The photobook will contain photos from the ‘SM TOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR’ concerts held across four cities in Seoul, LA, Shanghai and Tokyo.
It is a true collector’s item as it is expected to contain 288 pages of contents that include a history of the tour through photos from the concert, rehearsals and what went on backstage, as well as scenes from the airport and personal signatures and messages from Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and f(x).
Therefore, the photobook is expected to not only help fans relive their memories of the tour, but also give fans who weren’t able to attend the concerts a full view of the experience.
A provoking voice has emerged in Japan, saying that the music industry is ‘a slave to K-POP’.
Japan’s Shueisha recently made sarcastic remarks about the K-POP Hallyu Wave through an article with the title, “Incensed by the lack of Shin Ramyun, the Japanese Music Industry has Become a Slave to K-POP”.
The article claimed that though Girls’ Generation has sold over 600,000 copies of their album that was released in June, it’s hard for groups such as TVXQ, T-ARA and KARA to bring in much profit though they’re popular. One representative stated, “We spend 50 million Yen (approximately 700 million Won) on singles and even 15 million Won (approximately 200 million Won) on small events in promotional costs.” The article criticized that the flood of Korea-related magazines being published is overheating the publishing industry.
It was also stated that it is hard to meet the needs of Korean agents. One representative revealed that he was fired because he disagreed with an agent who wielded great power working between his record company and a Korean entertainment agency. It was published that another stated, “Once, a Korean staff member became incensed because he couldn’t find any Shin Ramyun to eat while the celebrity was completing their schedule.”

JYJ’s fans have recently published a newspaper article that calls for broadcasted appearances for JYJ.
The reason the fanclub gave for publishing the advertisement was, “JYJ are currently excluded from appearing on variety shows and music programs of most broadcasting companies. The power behind the unjust reason for their exclusion is mighty.“
Since leaving SM Entertainment, JYJ have been locked in a lawsuit with SM. Broadcasting companies have been using this as the reason why JYJ have been denied appearances on broadcasted programs, but JYJ’s side is claiming that these companies are excluding JYJ because of SM’s influence.
JYJ have been unable to appear on a single music program of any of the nation’s cable companies, let alone of the three major broadcasting companies.
JYJ are currently in a ‘confirmation of exclusive contract’s invalidity’ lawsuit with SM Entertainment on the grounds of a ‘unjust contract’. The Courts laid down a verdict in both October, 2009 and February 2011 that stated that SM had to ensure that they would not interfere with JYJ’s independent activities in the entertainment industry till the overall verdict was made on the lawsuit.

Kim Junsu (Xiah Junsu), member of the idol group JYJ, will be starring in his third musical.
Kim Junsu, who left a deep impression with his singing and acting abilities through the musicals [Mozart!] and [Tears of Heaven], has been casted as the character who personifies ‘Death’ in the first Korean musical production of [Elisabeth], which will take place next year. The role ‘Death’ plays is one which seduces and draws Elisabeth to her fate through a predestined love.
Having increased exceptional love and interest of the public towards the musical scene, there has been a triple casting as he will work with musical actors Ryu Jung Han and Song Chang Eui.
Ok Ju Hyeon, singer turned musical actress, and Kim Sun Young will play the role of ‘Elisabeth’.
Also, playing the role of narrator ‘Lucheni’ in the musical are Kim Su Yong, Choi Min Chul and Park Eun Tae. Lee Seung Hyun will also be making his debut as a musical actor through the role of ‘Rudolf’, son of ‘Elisabeth’. Taking on the role of ‘Emperor Franz Joseph’ are Yoon Young Seok and Min Young Ki, with Lee Tae Won playing the role of ‘Sophie’, mother-in-law of ‘Elisabeth’.
The musical ‘Elisabeth’ was unveiled to the world for the first time in Vienna, Austria, in 1992, and depicts the life of the last Empress Elisabeth of the House of Hapsburg in Austria.
It will be performed for the first time in Korea next year, from 9 February to 13 May, at Blue Square, Hannam-dong.

News] JYJ Fans Promote Voting for Seoul’s Mayoral Election and Album “In Heaven”
For October 26′s Seoul’s Mayoral election, many celebrities showed proof of voting but what about their fans?
JYJ fans gathered to post a relay of “proof” shots of their voting activity on an online community. In these photos you can see the blue sign that directs voters to the voting location along with fans’ hands holding up JYJ’s latest album “In Heaven” next to the sign. One photo that stands out in particular is a picture of Jaejoong’s life-size cardboard cut-out standing next to a large voting location sign.
Netizens commented, “This is very cool,” “What an awesome idea,” and “That Jaejoong photo is the funniest.”
Members of JYJ couldn’t vote themselves since they are currently in Spain for their European Tour. It’s great, though, to see fans come out to do the double work of promoting both voting and JYJ’s new album. JYJ is finding it hard to appear on television to promote their album but it seems that fan support and creativity will really encourage the members.
CKD revealed on the 24th that it will be holding a ‘PenzalQ Song Online Contest’ to find people who can make the best remakes of the music that is used for Penzal Q’s commercial.
CKD recently began a new batch of commercials for PenzalQ with the popular group JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu).
According to CKD, the new ‘PenzalQ’ song that is used for the commercial is a song that comforts one’s sick girlfriend. The song has become a hot topic as the famous composer and producer Jung Jin Hwan wrote it and as JYJ sang it.
The contest requires contestants to either sing the song themselves or remake the song in whatever genre they wish in a one minute video. Anyone who is a Korean citizen can participate, and entries may be completed in groups or alone. Entries will be taken in for three weeks till the 20th of November.
Entries are submitted by posting the video on Youtube and posting the URL link as a comment on the ‘Contest Tab’ of PenzalQ’s Facebook page and submitting the entry form to penzalq@daum.net.
The judging of the first round will be done based on votes by netizens and will then proceed to be judged by specialists and representatives of CKD with a 1 million Won prize for first place (1 person), and a 500,000 Won prize for the runner-up contestants (3 people).
A special ‘Netizen award’ and 300,000 Won worth of prize money will be given to the participant with the most ‘thumbs up’s on Youtube.
A representative of PenzalQ stated, “We’ve opened this contest to increase people’s awareness of the song,” and “We hope people incorporate innovative ideas and passion to create a great remake.”

This is a story about a divorced couple who meet again after 6 years and are forced to live together, a quirky start to this romantic love comedy. Today I went to Barcelone to buy a Garnier’s BB Cream with my friend Ying and her roommate … We went where we knew there could be, but it was sold out. So we decided to go for a walk and to take some drinks in Barcelone. Since I came from the college dorm, I had to take advantage! hahahaha
The point is that we walked down the Ramblas, not the sidewalk downtown, but by one of the sides. We watched the people who were watching the mimes (I, personally, I bet there is an asian in each one … lol) So we were looking at some, and Ying told me “hey, that guy with the glasses is really handsome” and I said “true, true, yes he is” as we continued walking … And then I see the other asian guy who covered the handsome guy with the glasses…his hair color was orange, That guy looks like Junsu. I said “Ying, isn’t he Junsu?” Ying said: “I don’t think so”, I said ” But he looks like him”, Ying: “He isn’t, let’s go”. We walked ahead. I was still looking at them thinking “I swear, it’s them” and saying “If they were really Jaejoong and Junsu and we just left them..omo “. We decided to cross to get to the other side of the street . I thought we were going to the side where we can see the asian guys, and Ying told me “You want to see them, don’t you?” I told her “Yes, To me they are Jaejoong and Junsu”, “The guy with orange hair I’m sure is Junsu. Let’s see them”…I was excited…We come closer to watch them “Yes, yes they are Ying …O_O” The two of them put on each side of the mime to take a picture. The handsome guy (Jaejoong) put down his sunglasses and I jump there … “Yiiiiing! Yes, they are, they are Jaejoong and Junsu. We didn’t want to follow them and we just decided to take some drinks. Then I managed to convince Ying and she convinced her friend to went to Plaza Catalunya to see if we saw more of them again, But nothing… they were gone, it was so fast… But well, that was an experience… OMG *-* Jaejoong has a very white and smooth skin, it contrasted a lot with his black hair and clothes … lol Junsu’s skin was more darker. And well I thought they were more tall. I had an idea somewhat exaggerated … ? how they were … xDD (I am very bad for sizing heights u.u) That’s why they were more shorter that I had imagined… But still they were very tall^^ and very handsome! *-*
I have an impressive desire that we reach that day ( Saturday) and go to the concert … I want to see them again … I want to see Yoochun! … maybe because he had arrived this morning he probably is still very tired … and the time difference is no small … so he should be resting or something ^ ^ And then yes, photos and more photos! lol
Well, that’s it! What a shame not to live in Barcelona and try my luck more often these days … lol. At the moment, I need to wait until Saturday to see them again! To see how it’s their concert … I’m sure it will be amazing! *-*

Host: From the start, let’s introduce TVXQ and this is their latest Japanese album. This album reaches 200 thousand sales during the first week of release and attained the first place on the charts. This is the first album for Yunho and Changmin and the results through the release of this album gave the duo a confidence boost. Yes, that’s right. For this album, there are unique designs within the album packagings. I’m going to introduce to everyone in today’s programme and what are the unique designs? These are the 3 versions of the albums that were not released in Taiwan. Red, Blue and Yellow. When we placed the three together, we’ll get something amazing. What’s that? See, right here. What is written there? “It Is My Way.” It can only be seen when you piled them together. It’s quite a special design. There’s a card inside the album too which I’ll introduce to you all later. Let’s now take a look when they arrived in Beijing and though their stay was not that long, we managed to arrange an interview from them. About new album
YH:First of all, we released an album in Korea after a long while. Therefore we had a chance to meet with Japanese fans. This album was prepared with great work and we anticipate fans’ responses. We involved a lot of our feelings in this album and were done with a heart of thankfulness. Thus we hoped that fans will be able to hear our improvement while listening to this album.
Japanese album released in Taiwan
CM:For this album.. This album is named TONE. There are various meaning to it, eg. sound, color etc. When we first heard of this title and knew of the various meaning when used differently. As an singer, if we are able to control the various tone, it should be the best joy, isn’t it? To name this album as TONE, and in this album, other than the ballads and dance numbers we are used to, we tried something that’s similar to a fast tempo band-type and club music etc. As we tried various music genres, it is an album that’s worth everyone’s attention.
About the good sales results of the Japanese album
YH: Firstly, we want to thank everyone and other than loving TVXQ, we enjoy our work and would like to close up the distance between our fans and us. Hopefully everyone will listen to our songs and we will become an even more hardworking TVXQ.
About TONE’s train
CM: When we heard about this, we felt that it’s very novel. When I saw the photos on the net, I really wish to go there and take a commemorative photo myself. However due to some problems and time issue, I wasn’t able to do it. If I had the chance, I would like to take a ride on that train.
Any plans for performances in Taiwan?
YH: To be honest, there’s no confirmed plan as of now. But next year, there’s a plan for Asia Tour and it’s still under discussion. We’ll let Taiwanese fans know if it’s confirmed. Maybe in the near future, the good news will arrive.
