Lee Seung Gi and Park Yoochun, who are both singer cum actors, will be facing off directly in Wednesday-Thursday dramas in March.

Lee Seung Gi will be appearing in the MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama “The King” together with Ha Ji-Won, a story about a fictitious monarchy  that rules South Korea, and a satirical love story that unfolds between the “South Korean Prince” Lee Jae-ha and the North Korean special forces’ “Legendary Female Trainer” Kim Hang-ah.

On the other side, Park Yoochun will be working with Han Jimin, as the male lead for the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Attic Prince.” This drama is about the crown prince of the chosun dynasty Lee Gak, who loses his beloved princess then travels with his consorts 300 years into the future to the modern day Seoul, to continue his unrealised romance from the past,s a fantasy-romantic comedy.

Park Yoochun, who is playing the crown prince is once again playing a role in a period drama after his debut project “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” which received a lot of love.  Since the crown prince moves from the past to modern times, you will naturally be able to see his modern-day charm in this drama as well. This drama will show many comical moments of how the crown prince tries to adapt to the modern day, and develop a different type of time-travel romance.

“The King” will be broadcast after “The moon that embraces the sun”, while “Attic Prince” will play after “Please take care of us, Captain.” Lee Seung Gi and Park Yoochun, who are both playing “princes” will be facing off directly in these two broadcast stations’ Wednesday-Thursday drama slots.

Whether Lee Seung Gi or Park Yoochun will triumph in the early part of Spring (in March), is something worth looking out for.

Hello, this is C-JeS Entertainment.

We’ve prepared a special Valentine’s Day event for the upcoming month of February.
We will be officially screening the ‘JYJ Private Film’, which was released as a DVD as it’s airing was cancelled last year, in over 20 CGV theaters.

As a documentary-style movie with the title ‘The day…’, commentary from the members has been added to the Private film, which shows an exclusive look into the joyful days of JYJ’s daily lives, to make the experience more special.

How about spending a very special Valentine’s Day with JYJ’s ‘The day’?
JYJ are also planning surprise visits to some of the theaters, so please stay tuned for further information.

Tohoshinki’s nation-wide tour began on 18 Jan at the Yokohama Arena. They personally announced the details of their long-awaited new single to the fans at the concert venue.

The new song, 「STILL」 is a mid-tempo song with a poignant melody, and matches this season (winter) which is full of first meetings and separations. It will be released on 14 March. As the date of release is White Day, (the single) can be said to be Tohoshinki’s best (White Day) present to the fans.

Also, the song 「One More Thing」, which is also included in this single, has been chosen as the theme song for 『L et M』, the BeeTV drama through which female actress Erika Sawajiri will be making a return with after a 4 year absence.

[News] Jung Yoo Mi and Lee Tae Sung Joins Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min for “Rooftop Prince”

The casting for the new SBS drama “Rooftop Prince” is finalized with JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun, Han Ji Min, Lee Tae Sung and Jung Yoo Mi.

“Rooftop Prince” is a historical/fusion/contemporary drama about a crown prince (Park Yoo Chun) traveling ahead 300 years along with his servants to meet his lost crown princess (Park Ji Min). The concept is said to be similar to “Thousand Years of Love,” which aired in 2003 and starred So Ji Sup and Sung Yuri. 

Currently, the female lead Han Ji Min is finishing up the JTBC drama, “Padam Padam.” She will be taking a short break before starting the filming for “Rooftop Prince.” Park Yoo Chun will be taking on the challenge for this drama after a successful run with “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” in 2010 and “Miss Ripley” in 2011.

The supporting male lead, Lee Tae Sung is currently playing Lee Bo Young’s lover in MBC’s “Hooray For Love” and is receiving a lot of love. Jung Yoo Mi received a lot of love for her role in “Thousand Days’ Promise” as well.

“Rooftop Prince” will be airing on March 14, after “Take Care Of Us Captain” ends.

Tohoshinki LIVE TOUR 2012 ~TONE~

Today I went to the first day of Tohoshinki’s concert tour
together with KO & YU-KI.
Of course I won’t tell the details.
Oh, I really want to talk about it~!!

I first didn’t know
what kind of feeling I would have,
but the results were…

It was really fun!!
Who are the dancers?
Who are the band members?
Ha~san, who is running backstage!
The stage director ~-san!
The makeup artist ~san!
The stylist ~san!
The security guards!
We were all having such fun,
time passed by in a blink of an eye.

It was the first time that I objectively watched the stage.
It was really dazzling.
And I missed the stage a little bit…

It was because
I was together on stage with them all the time from the ZEPP stage
(T/N: 1st LIVE TOUR 2006 -Heart, Mind and Soul-).

As a professional dancer,
I was really trained by (working together with) their stages
Not only from the technical point of view, but the mental point,
how to approach to work
and also the atttidute.
I think that the current myself is here
because I had the experience of working together in their stages.
It was a while since I last met Yunho and Changmin,
and both members were much stronger and powerful than before.
But their smiles when they realized us
haven’t changed a bit.

Even though we do not exchange any words,
when we see their performance,
we can understand a lot of things.

The two were the best.
The encounter with wonderful artists
are the treasure for us dancers.
The new dancers all have wonderful talents,
and they should really improve more in the future.

I am so thankful that I was able to go and see them!!
Thank you very much!!

To the dancers, thank you for the letter and the stick light!!
The end flew away, since I was swinging it so much!!
I am praying so that there will be no serious injuries, and the TOUR will be a great success!!

Yoochun, who showed his great potential as an actor in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, created a commotion with the selection of his next project “Miss Ripley.” Challenging an adult romance which is very different from his previous work, Yoochun showed delicate emotional acting, and the “making of” video clips full of talent and charm will be on sale.

Differing in appearance from the period piece “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” , Yoochun shows a more natural cool style and captures the hearts of the fans. From his mischievous ways in front of the staff and co-actors, to his nervousness as he focuses his energies before the shoot, (this video) is filled with various expressions of Yoochun that cannot be found in the actual show. Also, there are “backstage” comments from Yoochun, who speaks during the breaks in filming.

 Aside from Yoochun, (the show features) Kim Sung Woo, who showed overflowing charisma in his acting in “Iris”, Lee Da Hae, who has had many hit dramas such as “Chuno”, and actress Kang Hye Jung, who has been active in movies. With such a strong cast of actors gathered on set, the atmosphere was surprisingly congenial!

As a result of the harmonious atmosphere on the set, Yoochun was able to become closer to the other actors, who were older that him. He showed cute sides of him that were different from when he was overflowing with nervousness, allowing people to see his “frank humour”.

Drawing its inspiration from the suspense novel bestseller series, “Ripley”, this work depicts human nature which revolves around a continuous chain of lies and desires. The overwhelming professionalism of the actors is also shown – how they switch from serious, when they act out thrilling scenes of lying or being lied to, to their natural sides in the offshoot.

In particular, the camera, which focuses mainly on Yoochun, shows scenes from his comments, to him drawing portraits of the staff, to him signing for his fans, making the honest side of Yoochun available to everyone. Fans will not be able to resist seeing scenes such as (Yoochun) receiving guidance from the trainers during the training and swimming scenes that are featured in this volume. Also, Yoochun’s comments throughout filming breaks are also recorded.

We are glad to be able to know the true feelings of Yoochun as an actor, who says he realised the joy of acting through this work. Contrary to the theme of “lies” that is presented (in the drama), this volume is rich with content of Yoochun’s “frankness”.
