MBC held the concert at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney for 20,000 fans to commemorate its 50th anniversary, as well as ‘Korea-Australia Friendship Year’, as 2011 marks the 50th anniversary since Korea and Australia established diplomatic relations.

[TRANS] 111118 JYJ, Song Ji-Hyo, Park Yoohwan, Shares “Warmth” With Their Charity Photos
Posted on November 19, 2011 by TheRarasaurus

The C-Jes Entertainment artists have gathered together to “share.”

Song Ji-Hyo, JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun & Kim Junsu), and Park Yoohwan are working together with fashion magazine ELLE, and have participated in a charity photoshoot in aid of the needy in Africa as well as within Korea.

The five artists who are participating in ELLE’s annual charity project “Share Happiness” had a happy photoshoot under the autumn sun. With a “vacation” for JYJ, a “couple having a picnic” for Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan, and a “camping” for the brothers Park Yoochun and Park Yoohwan as their concepts for the photoshoot, they showed a variety of warm and free images.

Song Ji Hyo said, “I had fun partaking in a meaningful photoshoot with my fellow label mates, and I had a great time because the big camping site made it feel like we were really on a vacation. We all paired up with a child through World Vision and though I’ve only seen my paired child through a photograph, I’m happy because I feel like he’s been a part of my family all along and I know we’re going to have such a beautiful relationship.”

JYJ said, “As the UNAIDS ambassadors, and with 1 December being World AIDS day, we want to communicate a relevant message. We received a great amount of love and concern throughout this year, and we want to participate for the sake of the less fortunate. With our participation in the ELLE charity photoshoot as well as the concurrent “Mango Tree project,” we hope that we can spend the end of this year with our fans in a memorable, meaningful way.“

Park Yoohwan said, “I still can’t believe that I’ve taken part in a photoshoot with my seniors, and I was really excited and happy because of it. Everyone treats me well because I’m the youngest in our agency and they said lots of great things throughout the photoshoot. It’s been an unforgettable experience and I enjoyed every moment of it because it’s for a good cause.”

With Jeju Island chosen as one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World by the N7W Foundation, it can be said that this victory was thanks to the domestic and overseas honorary ambassadors of Jeju Island’s campaign. Starting with American football player Hines Ward in May, approximately 100 people were chosen as honorary ambassadors this year.

Headed by actress Go Du Shim, who was born in Jeju, the team consisted of Park Eun Hae, Choi Jung Won, Kim Tae Hee, Chae Rim, Han Jae Seok, Park Sun Young and Park Sang Won. Yoon Do Hyun, Bae Chul Soo, Cultwo, and mountaineer Eom Hong Gil contributed as well. Hallyu stars Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu from JYJ, who have countless overseas fans supporting them, also took part in the campaign.

Sports stars who participated include Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung, PGA golf player Choi Gyung Joo and Yang Yong Eun. Jiao Zhimin, a former member of China’s national table tennis team, also helped out.

However, not all the honorary ambassadors were Korean. Paul Potts, who became a star through ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and 2008 Nobel Prize for Literature recipient Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio also took part in helping Jeju Island.

It was thanks to the efforts of these domestic and overseas honorary ambassadors that Jeju Island clinched their victory and became one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

[News] 111117 4000 People Scream Over Tohoshinki Changmin’s Kiss Scene

[News] 111117 4000 People Scream Over Tohoshinki Changmin’s Kiss Scene

The commemorative event for the DVD release of popular Hallyu group Tohoshinki member Changmin’s first drama [Paradise Farm] was held on 17 November in Kanagawa, Pacifico Yokohama. Around 4,000 fans gathered to participate in the premium event. The drama’s heroine, Lee Yeonhee, also attended and talked about episodes that occurred while filming the drama and also sang the drama OST song [Confession] in Korean, in front of their Japanese fans for the very first time.

-omitted drama summary-

The hall was filled with the high-pitched voices of the female fans as they cheered for Changmin. The scene in the drama that left the most impact was when, as opposed to his ex-wife Daji, he had his first kiss scene with his new lover Jinyoung. When the long kiss scene came on the screen, screams arose from the audience and Changmin grinned broadly as he said, “Actually, it was even longer than this.” He caused the female fans to sigh over this significant statement, “Although there were many memorable scenes together with Daji, as expected, this scene still stood out more. Excluding my private life (laughs), this was the longest kiss scene yet in my working experience.“

On the other hand Yeonhee, out of all the scenes the two had together chose the one where she quarreled with Dongju at a concert venue which included a kick and the line “Isn’t this a boob fetish!” included. “Though I was bewildered (when I read my lines), I think it also portrayed my original personality,” she made a confession about her surprising personality. In response to Changmin’s “It really hurt a lot”, the moderator retorted, “So in reality, do you have a boob fetish?” and Changmin induced laughs from the audience as he feigned ignorance with, “That’s a hard question to answer.”

To sum up the event, he sang the song [Confession] which had self-written lyrics. “I wrote the lyrics with the thought that even though I’ve separated from the person I loved, I still want to meet her again to confess my love to her once more,” he said as he revealed his thoughts. [Confession] was based on his own experiences as “although it was influenced by movies and such, I wrote the lyrics while thinking of my own experiences”. He playfully said, “In order to write good lyrics, I have to fall in love more“, causing the venue to drown in cheers.
