The repackage album of JYJâs Kim Jaejoong has been met with an explosive response.
Kim Jaejoong, who has been reviewed as a âmeaningful evolution of the idol singerâ, recently released his repackage album on the 26th, which includes the original tracks from his rock album, as well as two extra compositions.
The repackage album, which contains the sophisticated electronic dance track âOnly Loveâ and the melodious R&B ballad âKiss Bâ, has been met with an explosive response both on and offline all across Asia.

The members talked about the things they had kept locked in their hearts for the past 1000 days in the magazine âThe JYJ THE STORY OF 1000 DAYSâ.
Regarding their decision to leave TVXQ in 2009, JYJ explained, âAt the time, some people in the industry and the public made speculations about us and attacked us. But we couldnât do anything but stay silent. The flood of criticism and the ridiculous rumors ripped us apart. But we didnât respond to them. That was because we knew that reacting would be nothing but âSpitting on our own facesâ in this situation.â
Park Yoochun said, âIâm sure that SM Entertainment, our agency at that time, were hurt too, but when I look back on what happened, I think we were hurt more by the whole thing. There were times when I thought, âWhatâs the use of saying things that will do nothing but hurt each otherâ. Though there were a lot of rumors surrounding us, we kept it locked in our hearts and repeated to ourselves, âThis too shall pass.â I felt like when time had passed, people and the world would come to see what the truth was.â
Kim Junsu said, âChang Joo (CEO of C-JeS Entertainment) told us that things would get worse if we responded to every little thing, so we held back on everything. Though it was a very trying time for us, we could do nothing but hold back..â
Kim Jaejoong said, âWe knew that this was a fight that we could possibly lose, but we hoped that people would understand our truth when time had passed. At the time, we had no one to speak for us, and we could do nothing but silently stand our ground. Because speaking up would lead to misunderstandings. We couldnât express ourselves because even denying things would make us look like cowards.â

Group JYJâs agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed their stance on the apology recently given by ChannelA.
A representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 26th to MyDaily that, âThe basis of any broadcasting channel is to relay information. To provide the proper information about guests and programs the channel is airing to viewers. It is unfortunate that this fundamental principle was not kept during a large-scale, state event. It is not an issue that ends with an apology to just us or JYJâs fans. Itâs an issue that needs to be addressed to all the viewers.â
They also added, âThe Transition Committee, which was in charge of the event, had already issued a press release that contained information about the guest performers, as well as the reason they had been invited to appear in the ceremony, but it is unfortunate that this information was not relayed.â They concluded by stating, âWe see no reason to respond to the other statements and apologies made.â
Ahead of this, JYJ performed at Park Geun Haeâs Presidential Inauguration ceremony on the 25th at Yeoido. On this day, ChannelAâs Anchor Park Jong Jin and Reporter Lee Hyun Soo covered the live broadcast of the event and made subjective comments instead of objective explanations when they talked about JYJ, including statements such as, âTheyâre a group called JYJ, you donât know much about them, do you?â and âTheyâre the ones who dropped out of TVXQâŚâ
Anchor Park Jong Jin continued to add, âSeeing them like this instead of under the bright lights of the concert stage makes it feel like theyâre singing in a karaoke room.â Reporter Lee Hyun Soo tried to smooth things over by adding, âThough it does seem disordered, Iâm sure this performance means a lot to JYJ.â

It has been found that JYJâs Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu shed tears during their âTHE JYJâ interview.
The first edition of âTHE JYJâ released by JYJâs agency C-JeS Entertainment contains honest interviews from the members that took place over 25 hours in three sessions. During the interview, the members shed tears as they talked about what happened in 2009.
A representative of the agency stated to eNEWS that, âDuring the interview, the members opened up about everything they had kept in their hearts for a long time. During the interview, we found out things about the members that weâd never known before,â and âAll three members shed tears when they talked about what happened in 2009, and it broke our hearts to see them cry. Both the members and the staff ended up in tears.â
In one of the interviews in the magazine, the members talked about crying at their 2010 Tokyo Dome concert [T/N: The original Korean article states ‘2010 ëěżë ě˝ěí¸’ but judging from the content of JYJ’s comments, we presume they actually meant the 2009 concert, when all five members were still together. It may be a simple typo or it may not be, but we put this note in for clarification’s sake.] as they said, âWe were so sorry to our fans. We were even more sorry that we couldnât tell them that the five of us couldnât be together anymore. When we were walking towards our fans, the tears wouldnât stop flowing from our eyes. We still canât forget that moment.â
The three members also talked about their affection for each other as they said, âBecause weâre colleagues, because weâre not alone, weâre not scared,â and âNever! Not once! have we regretted this.â
The first edition of âTHE JYJâ contains honest interviews from the members that took place over 25 hours, as well as their memories of the past 1000 days as members of JYJ. A DVD containing 40 minutes of unreleased footage is also included in the magazine. âTHE JYJâ will be released every six months and will be catered to JYJâs fans.
Meanwhile, JYJ have been active as âKoreaâs representative groupâ through various state events and honorary ambassador jobs, including performing at the 18th Presidential Inauguration ceremony.
They ended their lawsuit with SM Entertainment last November in three years and four months, and won their lawsuit against Japanâs AVEX on the 18th of January. As JYJ are now free to pursue activities in Japan, they are planning to greet fans in Japan for the first time in four years in Tokyo Dome in April.
