You see a globe. A shiny, sparkly globe covered in flashing lights that makes you think of bell bottoms and peace sig…wait a minute. Wrong globe. (removes quickly)
Ahem. (tries again…)
You see a globe. A slowing rotating globe that really reminds you of something you saw in geography class. It is called…What was it again? It’ must have been important….OH YEAH!!!! PLANET EARTH!!!!
Duh. Well. It is Earth, spinning exotically on it’s invisible axis, looking so peaceful from this far away. Really peaceful. What a shame that you’re suddenly getting closer…and closer…and even closer, until you can make out the outlines of high rises and fast moving cars. It seems you have descended into a very big city, and are quickly aiming for a curtained window, at the very top floor of an expensive-looking housing complex. You flinch and try to slow your velocity, expecting to crash straight into the window any second, but there are no air brakes on this ride. You close your eyes, and wait for the shattering of glass….but surprisingly enough, all you feel is a sudden blast of air-conditioned air, that seems to come from all around you. Someone has central air controls. Nice. The grandly furnished house seems empty at a first glance, but your quickly adjusting ears pick up the distinct sound of voices, male voices to be exact, voices that you recognize immediately….
…so I told the manager that I was going to be gone for a few days, and he seemed okay with it. The only thing that’s really worrying me is….Yah. Hyung. Do you really need to pack so many clothes? It’s a vacation, not a photoshoot.
Hmmm…..do you really think so? I might need them all…
Junsu thinks you have too many. Right, Junsu?
RIGHT!!! Hyung, can I put these down now? Please?
Hmmm…I just don’t know. Jiji-ah, what do you think?
Hyung, please.
What did you say, Jiji-ah? Junsu spilled orange juice all over Appa Jae’s new white sofa? Really? Maybe we should let him hold the clothes a little longer….
Grrrrr…..(drops pile) Forget it. No more punishments.
Awww, Junsu-ah. You’re no fun.
Tell that to my back. Besides, there’s no stain on your precious sofa.
That’s because you painted over it with white-out.
…How’d you know that?
Doodlydoodlydoo…so many lines, so little time….
Chunnie-ah……
Tehe. Anyways, the only thing I’m worried about is someone spotting us with Yunho-hyung and Changmin-ah. I mean, it could really cause a scandal, if one of the fans took a picture or something.
That’s why they’re coming in disguise. Or at least that’s what Yunho said over the phone yesterday. I hope we’ll recognize them. It’s been such a long time…was this a good idea?
Of course, hyung.
Yeah. Of course.
Okay. Well we’d better go pick them up from the airport. (closes suitcase) Are we all ready?
I don’t know. Chunnie-ah, are you ready to have fun? Even more importantly, do you even want to have fun?
No. No, I hate fun.
Dongsaengs…………………
Just kidding. Relax, Jae.
Yeah. Come on. Let’s go.
Sizty minutes later, at the airport……
Hope they won’t take too long. It’s a long drive to our resort.
I know right? Their plane’s already landed, I hope we didn’t miss them… Oh! Wait! Is that really…Oh my goodness….
(insert hysterical chicken laughter here)
I don’t know these people. Really.
What kind of disguises are those?
Wanna buy a Christmas tree?! It’s on sale!
Yunho. It’s May.
Which is exactly why it’s on sale! 40% off! You can’t beat that!!!
They can’t beat that, but they sure look ready to beat us, hyung. Do you think we should have chosen more thorough disguises?
We didn’t have time, Changmin-ah. Just smile and look pretty. Smile and look pretty.
Someone’s going to recognize you.
Nonsense! We’re hiding in plain sight! The fans will never see us!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OPPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to be continued….

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong’s little sister has been unveiled, attracting people’s eyes.
Recently, a netizen captured a tweet of Kim Jae Joong’s mother, Oh Seo Jin, and posted it on an online community board with the title “Kim Jae Joong’s sister about to debut.”
In the posting, Oh wrote, “The youngest one decided to enter the Department of Theater and is about to debut. We’ve met director yesterday, and today we’re going to have a meal with station manager at an annex hall of KBS building. He says that he likes her pure image, but since she doesn’t know how to dress up in a stylish way, she seems to fall behind the trend. I’m so concerned.”
Along the posting, a picture of Kim Jae Joong’s sister was revealed. It was first uploaded on February 4 by Oh on Twitter. Kim’s younger sister shows well-defined features just like her brother, and her flawless skin appeals an innocent image.
Netizens reacted: “No wonder they are related by blood.” “Is this another brother and sister celebrities after Kim Tae Hee and Lee Wan?” “She’s a pure beauty.”

When I can’t find the place I need
When I lose my way in the storm
They give me love and courage that never changes
I send my thanks to them
When I’m feeling all alone
So many times I have cried so hard
However heart-broken I am
However hard it is
I know they will always be the same
* CHORUS *
Until my life is over
Until the world ends
We will be together.
We believe that when many hearts join together
We become strong
We will be happy together
Until the day when the light stops shining,
They will love us
We share the same dream
We really seem to be in the same place
We can treat the pain of all the bruises in the world
When many of us are together
*Repeat
When there are people who have given up
We unite together again and become strong
We always need our families’ hands reaching out to us
We believe that when many hearts join together
We become strong
We will be happy together
Until the day when the light stops shining,
They will love us

I am super late on making this, but I’ve wanted to type an account about my experience with Hurricane Katrina. Ah…that day was one of the most scariest in my life. It is one that I will not foget any time soon. Hurricane Katrina was my very first major hurricane, and I had only been living in southern Mississippi for about a year when she came along. Sure, before this storm I had to deal with tornadoes when I lived in Illinois and Ohio, and Tropical Storm Allison when I visited Mississippi earlier in life. But Katrina was different. My account may not be that good, and I may have missed a few things, but here goes nothing:
Ah…summer of 2005…I remember that year. I was living with my grandmother at the time. I heard TVXQ for the first time. It was the beginning of my senior year of high school. I hadn’t been really paying any attention to the weather that year, but I had heard that it was going to be an active hurricane season. Back in June or July, I remember my family cutting plywood boards to fit into the windows and such. For most of the summer, they stayed up. Then about one week after my birthday, one Friday towards the end of the school day, the intercom came on and started talking about a storm out in the Gulf of Mexico that may be headed our way and that we might not have school next week. I wasn’t really paying much attention to it though. But when I got home, I could remember hearing talk about preparing for this storm. It looked like we were going to ride this one out, so I figured it wasn’t that bad of a storm. I remember the previous year we had fled from Hurricane Ivan, but it luckly didn’t do any damage to our area. I can’t really remember what all happened on that Saturday–it was most likely preparations and such. But I do remember on Sunday morning that a call from the church we attended said that there would be no chruch so that people could have time to prepare. Now…if your church calls saying that it’s cancelled service so you can prepare for something does sound like something you should worry about. Also, mandatory evacuations were being administered for the coastal areas of Louisiana and Mississippi. I believe Alabama too, but I wasn’t sure. ^^;; Other family members also came over to ride out the storm as well. I do remember my grandomother saying that it would’ve been pointless to leave because this storm was big. Here is a clip from The Weather Channel from about that time:
She was HUGE! Not as huge as Hurricane Francis, but still rather big. And like the guy in the video said…things weren’t good. She was regaining strength. You see…whenever a storm enters the Gulf of Mexico’s waters, it gets a charge. ^_^ We have some of the warmest waters over here. But that Sunday night, before we went to sleep, I remember my grandmother saying that we needed to fill the bathtubs with water. She said we might need it for emergencies.
AUGUST 29th, MONDAY MORNING…. It was about six or seven in the morning when I woke up to the sound of the wind whistling outside. She had JUST made landfall when I had awoken. At first, things didn’t seem so bad. But then, the lights started blinking and I heard my grandmother shout “Turn ’em off!”. So my dad shut off all the power from the fuse box. Thank goodness there was light outside. We all made our way into the living room area and sat on the floor. I did try to look out the sliding door window at the rear of the house. It was really windy and raining hard. I could even see the roof of my grandomother’s neighbor’s house tearing apart. Their house was more of an A-frame, and couldn’t compare to a roof built more for a hurricane. But since it was coming down, the neighbors managed to make it to our house through the sliding door. Now our house was full of people (about 25 and that isn’t counting the 3 dogs that were there as well). So, things were alright for a while, we noticed some leaking coming from the den and other areas. Then we heard the celing in my grandmother’s bathroom fall. We all know that it was time to go. We were going to have to run down the street to a neighbor’s house through our the sliding door. But before that, the whole ceiling to the kitchen came down. We all freaked out! That was when all of us evacuated the house through the back door and ran across the backyard, and between my grandmother’s neighbor’s side of the house and RV. We had a little repreive from the wind as the RV provieded a little protection. But as soon as we were out in the open on the streets…things were crazy! The rain pounded down on us and we were soaked within seconds. It felt like needles stabbing me everwhere because the wind was whipping the rain. It was also hard to breathe because the wind was being literally knocked out of me. We were screaming a bit as we made our way to a neighbor’s house down the street. I could remember trying to hold on to my brother because he was being blown away. XD Even after the storm a few neighbors were worried about us because they heard us screaming. But we all managed to make it to the other neighbor’s house. The rest of the day, we rode out the storm with them. My sister and I were worried about the safety of our dogs as we had to leave them behind.
AUGUST 29th, MONDAY EVENING…. As the winds began to die down and Hurricane Katrina kept moving inland, some of the adults went back to our grandmother’s house to see what had happened. It was a while later when we were allowed to come back over that way. What took so long was that the street was flooded from debris covering the drains. In fact, debris was everywhere. Shingles from the roof were on the ground. One shingle was even stuck in someone’s door! Trees had fallen…the whole shebang. It was going to be alot to clean up. We went inside for a little while, and I was glad to know that our dogs were all still alive. The ceiling in my grandmother’s room and bathroom had a hole in it as well as the den. The room we stayed in suprisingly didn’t have any damage nor did our aunt’s or our cousin’s. The living room was alright too. The kitchen…well, like I said previously, the ceiling had fully collapsed. Thank goodness the roof was still standing. We couldn’t stay at our grandmother’s house that night, so we had to stay at our other aunt and cousin’s houses for a few nights.
AFTERMATH OF KATRINA…. Oh geez. The aftermath was terrible! It was hot, we had no power or water for weeks. Thus that was the reason for filling up the bathtub with water. The first to come back on was the water. Cleanup was a drag. I didn’t want to do it, but I needed to help. The big problems were ice and gas though. We had to make several trips to places outside of our city just to get gas. Ah, and let’t not forget the MREs. School was out for about a month for me, and yet I still had projects that had to be turned in, lol. I also remember going around and visiting other places that got hit hard (like Pass Christian). It was spooky. A whole Wal-Mart got gutted out. In fact, alot of places near the beach got gutted by Katrina. Lots of highways were out and there were many ‘steps leading to nowhere’. Heck, even the barges carrying some of our casinos had washed ashore! o.O Of course, you all may have heard about the disaster in New Orleans, but Mississppi also had it’s share of problems since we had to deal with the eye-wall and the hurricane-force winds the whole time. To sum it all up, we were all severely messed up from this storm.
Over time, however things got better. Help arrived (allbeit a bit late) and lives were being pieced back together. My immediate family and I moved out of our grandmother’s house to live in the one I currently do. All the seniors (including myself) managed to get back on track and we all graduated on time. You can still see some of the effects of Hurricane Katrina today, but it’s slowly dwindling. If anything, I really do hope that I won’t have to go through anything like Hurricane Katrina ever again.

Before I begin this post, know that I am also a crazy fangirl in some ways. ^_^ But…
Ugh…never have I seen so much crazy mess that is an award ceremony. From the day the polls opened up for voting to the time of the actual award giving, things were just crazy. But just to make things clear, I didn’t really pay much attention to it all. So I really shouldn’t be saying anything about it. But since my Twitter list is 90% Kpop related, I was still a part of it.
In the beginning, I wasn’t really opting to vote. I kept hearing who the nominees were for certain categories and such. HoMin were nominated for a few as well as Super Junior, B2ST, and several other groups I like. So, the main reason I didn’t want to vote was because of that: too many of my favorite groups. But then there was also the fact that I was a little sad that JYJ was once again absent from the list. Everyday was like one of those voting campaigns for presidential elections you’d see on television. Fans of various groups had also found ways to boost up the voting results of their groups by making several voting accounts. To me, I kinda felt that was wrong. It felt like cheating. Like fans were doing it just for the sake of the award rather than thinking about if they really deserve it. Eventually, I did come around to voting, but I wasn’t going to vote for just HoMin or just Super Junior in all categories they were nominated for. I actually went and looked up some of the other nominated artists and the songs that they were nominated for. But I only voted ONCE. That was it. The rest of the time, I watched as others made various accounts to vote. I was pretty much ready for it to be over really. ^^;;
Then, just yesterday (on my side of the world). Voting had ended and the award ceremony was held…in Singapore. But it was live streamed as well. I didn’t watch it because it was during my sleeping hours. XD But when I woke up…the reactions were just… @_@ Cassiopeia was upset because HoMin didn’t win anything. And I was okay with that. They’ve won so many awards in the past. I’m sure Yunho and Changmin were like: “Ah~ No awards this year. That’s okay though. We did our best.” But if all five were there, I’m sure it would’ve been an almost all-kill. It just goes to show that anything that was once full and becomes divided doesn’t stand a good chance. Kind of like the slogan I kept hearing while in school. “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”. So…what does that tell us, Cassies? Anyway, I believe E.L.F.s were upset because they didn’t win a certain award. Again. Nothing to worry about. I think Super Junior did well this year too. And I think they won an award anyway, so I’m cool with it. I’m not sure why BlackJacks (2NE1’s fans) were upset though. Either way, many fandoms were butthurt that evening.
Now…I know that there are some things that I do get upset about in my fangirl life. Most of it being whenever my biases are said to be in relationships and stuff or when things between JYJ and HoMin stans flare up. But when it comes to awards…I’m cool with it. HoMin may not have won any awards, but look at our situation. And heck, neither JYJ or HoMin are nominated for the Golden Disk Awards. My theory is because they know how us Cassies are. ^^;; But whatever, TVXQ (all five members of course) are still stars in my eyes. No need for an award. Just keep on truckin’ towards reunification. To the artists that won an award, I congradualate you~!
I know I may sound like a bitter fan or some meanie that just stole your lunch money, but doesn’t some of my words have at least some truth or sense to them? As one of my fellow Cassie friends has said…I am a thinking fan. There are lots of things I think about that deal with how this fandom is and how I wish it was. So, as usual, I apologize for stepping on some toes. Now…onto my next post!
To all the rabid fangirls out there: I’m one of you. Don’t be offended, please. It’s all in good fun ;D That being said, time for some holiday cheer. (insert evil laugh here)
To the tune of ‘Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer’:
Chorus:
Ahjumma got run over by a fangirl
Leaving her apartment Christmas Eve
(Wasn’t) her fault she lived right next to Jaejoong
In apartment A while his was B
Verse 1:
Ahjumma was a sweet old lady
Made the nicest kimchi stew
Saved some once a week for our Jaejoong
And also, by proxy, our Junsu
When she left the house that evening
The night was so peaceful and calm
Until Jae came round the corner
With stalker fans tagging along
Chorus (pretty catchy right?)
Verse 2:
Jae had left the house at midnight
In need of some toiletries
The fangirls saw through his disguising
Though he wore a beanie and coat to his knees
When he passed the dear old lady
He kindly stopped to say hello
Some of the fans got ‘jae’lous
And pushed poor ahjumma into the snow
Chorus: (hehehehe)
Ahjumma didn’t die there
She wasn’t even really hurt
But the fangirls were so sorry
They vowed to wait on her hand and foot
Now she lives in a high rise
With fangirl servants at her bid
No more does she cook Jae kimchi
But wears a golden crown upon her wig
Repeat chorus to end
….sorry…it had to be done. If ya’ll aren’t American, then you might not get this, so I’m sorry if it’s in bad taste. But I just couldn’t resist.
hides.
hehe.
