JYJ member Junsu’s appearance in the girl group FIESTAR’s debut music video “Vista” teaser has become a hot topic.

At 9am of 28 August, FIESTAR released their debut music video teaser via the LOEN Music official Youtube channel.

In this 30s teaser that was released, a grand brass sound together with the charismatic appearance of Junsu caught the eyes of viewers. The members of Fiestar also showed off their bright charm in this teaser.

Seoul Drama Awards 2012 People’s Choice Winners

– The winners of the People’s Choice and Hallyu Drama categories were recently released.

– Park Yoo Chun of Rooftop Prince takes the Triple Crown with the People’s Choice Award, Hallyu Drama Actor Award, and a prize for a series.

– People receiving the People’s Choice Award will attend the awards ceremony on August 30

Park Yoo Chun, of Rooftop Prince, is voted the most popular actor at the Seoul Drama Awards 2012.

The Seoul Drama Awards Organization Committee recently released the results from the online voting for People’s Choice and Hallyu Drama categories. The voting began on July 10 and has gone on for about a month. Over four million people cast their votes, proving the awards ceremony is very popular.

Many actors and actresses from TV series in 2012 were nominated. Park Yoo Chun showed off his Hallyu star power by ranking first in the People’s Choice and Hallyu Drama Actor categories, and his TV series Rooftop Prince completed the Triple Crown by ranking first among all series.

Han Ji Min, who appeared in Rooftop Prince with Park, also beat out all the other actresses to become the most popular actress.

Nicky Wu, a Chinese actor who has gained great popularity in Korea through the series Bu Bu Jing Xin, ranked first among Chinese actors. Zhang Jia Yu, who appeared on Days We Stared at the Sun, ranked first among other actresses, becoming the most popular actress from Taiwan.

Voting for the Best Song from a Hallyu drama series was conducted by Daum Music for the awards ceremony. SNSD’s Taeyeon sang “Missing You Like Crazy” for the series The King Two Hearts and people voted it the most popular song from a TV series. It is a ballad combined with modern rock and punk and it was played as actress Ha Ji Won’s theme song.

Actors and actresses from the all over the world who are receiving prizes will attend the ceremony on August 30 at the Seoul National Theater and will share the honorable moment together with all the other winners and nominees.

Tracking Isaac: The Latest On The Storm’s Path

Hurricane Isaac is expected to hit over southeastern Louisiana, possibly the New Orleans area, sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday and is gaining steam with sustained winds swirling at 75 mph.

The center of the storm that was about 75 miles from the mouth of Mississippi River at midday. Landfall would come during the seventh anniversary Hurricane Katrina that devastated the area. Isaac is expected to maintain hurricane strength, making it the first to hit the Gulf Coast since Ike in 2008.

WHERE AND HOW STRONG?

As of Tuesday morning, the U.S. National Hurricane Center predicted Isaac would maintain at least Category 1 strength. Winds would be at least 75 mph and can be as high as 95 mph.

Southeastern Louisiana is in its crosshairs, but the track could still veer farther west, or to the east in Mississippi. Regardless of where it hits, Isaac’s reach is large and it will dump heavy rain as far east as Florida.

DAMAGE

While people across the coast were boarding up their homes to prepare for damaging winds, the even bigger fear is potential flooding. Isaac could push storm surge as high as 12 feet into parts of Louisiana and Mississippi, and 1 to 3 feet high as far away as Florida’s west coast.

Around New Orleans, residents hunkered down behind levees fortified after Katrina.

Isaac already left a trail of destruction in the Caribbean, most of it blamed on flooding that killed 24 people.

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION

Isaac veered well west of the Republican National Convention site in Tampa, but it was soggy over the weekend in the bayside city. The GOP pushed back the start of speeches a day to Tuesday and protesters’ ranks have been small, in part because of the soaking brought on by Isaac and in part because of the huge police presence in the city.

The coming storm has also altered some Republican governors’ plans to attend. Florida Gov. Rick Scott canceled a speaking engagement, and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley canceled their trips to Tampa.

EVACUATIONS

Officials in Louisiana’s St. Charles Parish near New Orleans and Terrebonne Parish that includes Houma closer to the Gulf have told about 73,000 residents total to leave ahead of the storm. Some coastal residents in Alabama have also been told to evacuate. However, officials haven’t ordered the kind of evacuations that have in the past clogged interstates, with both sides of the highway heading one direction. In New Orleans, Mayor Mitch Landrieu said evacuations would not be ordered and told residents to prepare carefully and ride it out.

120828 Typhoons Bolaven and Tembin

On August 26, 2012, Typhoon Bolaven passed over Japan’s Ryukyu Islands, the eye of the storm making landfall on Okinawa. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this natural-color image when Bolaven’s eye was situated southeast of the island.

CNN reported that Bolaven was the strongest typhoon to strike Okinawa in nearly 50 years, with winds of 259 kilometers (161 miles) per hour. Along with high winds, Bolaven’s heavy rainfall and storm surges were expected to pose hazards for island residents. The island’s infrastructure, however, is built largely out of solid concrete and able to survive strong storms.

Unisys Weather reported that, on August 26, Bolaven was a Category 4 typhoon with winds of 115 knots (215 kilometers per hour). The storm had weakened by August 27, when the U.S. Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) reported that the storm had maximum sustained winds of 70 knots (130 kilometers per hour). It nevertheless remained a strong storm, and the JTWC projected storm track showed Bolaven passing over the Yellow Sea and the Korean Peninsula over the next two days.

On August 27, 2012, MODIS acquired another image, showing both Bolaven and Tembin off the east coast of China.

Kim Junsu (XIA), who is currently affected by Typhoon Bolaven, will be boarding the airplane for his world tour.

C-JeS Entertainment expressed through a telephone call with Newsen today that, “When he returned from Hong Kong yesterday, typhoon had already reached Korea. This morning he has also anxiously boarded the flight at New York.”

With JYJ’s Park Yoochun and Sohn Ye Jin rumored to take on the leading roles of MBC TV’s ‘I Miss You’, it has been found that nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
