Nintendo Korea revealed on the 4th that they have chosen Actress Gong Hyo Jin and JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu to be the campaign models for the Nintendo 3DS software ‘Mario Kart 7′.

Though the quartet were seen only exchanging greetings at the beginning of the filming schedule because it was their first gathering, the atmosphere soon lightened up when they began playing ‘Mario Kart 7′ with the members of JYJ giving Gong Hyo Jin an in-depth explanation of the game.

The members of JYJ, who had enjoyed ‘Mario Kart DS’, the predecessor of ‘Mario Kart 7′, showed their competitive side as they fought for the top spot from the beginning.

 When JYJ’s Kim Junsu kept coming in at first place, he confidently remarked, ‘I must be good at this game’ and it was later said that the quartet enjoyed themselves as they changed go-karts according to the course and found their racing styles through various new customized options.

Nintendo Korea made the decision to choose the four celebrities as they believed JYJ would be able to easily understand and showcase the special characteristics of ‘Mario Kart 7′ as the group is known to have enjoyed previous versions of the series while Gong Hyo Jin’s transformation into Mario in her ‘Super Mario 3D Land’ promotions would fit perfectly with the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, Nintendo’s latest game console Nintendo 3DS was released on the 28th of last month with various games such as ‘Super Mario 3D Land’ while ‘Mario Kart 7′ is expected to be released late-May.

It has been revealed that TVXQ will be making a “return of the kings” when they make their comeback in the later half of this year.

TVXQ, whom we met just before the finale of the “Tohoshinki Live Tour 2012 ~TONE~” concert in the Kyocera Dome Osaka, said, “We are preparing for our comeback, which is targeted for the later part of this year.” TVXQ said, “It seems like we have kept the Korean fans waiting as our activities were centered in Japan for the first half of this year. We will work hard to get closer to the fans in Korea with brand new images. The exact promotional period has not been decided upon, but we want to produce good results at an appropriate time. We would also like to have concerts if possible.” TVXQ, who has completed 26 concerts over the course of 3 months, at a pace of about one concert every 4 days, will be taking a break before pushing forward with the preparations for their activities in Korea.

Yunho smiled while saying, “We would like to rest. The tour has continued throughout these 3 months, so the fatigue which has accumulated cannot be ignored. Although it is true that our stamina is a little weaker since it is the finale, we get burts of energy just with the word ‘finale’.” Changmin explained, “First, I would like to relieve the stress which has built up thus far by doing things such as having a drink with friends. Preparations are underway for an album to be released this year, along with other activities through which we will showcase the best sides of ourselves. In order to prepare well for the album, we will be taking a break after the concerts to recharge.”

The hair and makeup directors, stylist, choreographer, music video director, photographer that contributed to Kim Junsu’s new record reveal its concept and strategy.
The title “UNEQUALLED” represents Junsu’s unique creativity and identity, penetrating into the overall concept of the album.

“Kim Junsu is a world-class artist. He is a leader among numerous idols and what he picks turn to a trend. The ideas for this album distinctive in that the hairstyle shows various colors that represent a series of feelings covered by one song. It also features Orient’s emotional base and a hint of the West” said the hair and makeup director.

Moon Ju-yeong, the makeup director, was handed the baton: “the overall concept is very intense, dense, deep and differentiated from any other idol singers, in a word, ‘strong’. The makeup features intense, mysterious eyes.”

The costume stylist gives an account of Junsu’s stage clothes: “Attention to details added to the foundation of on-trend see-through look and slim suit design. Geometric patterns and modern materials realize a ‘modern heritage’ concept that mixes and matches the modern trends and heritages.”

“At a word, Kim Junsu is a triple threat, which refers to an individual proficient in the disciplines of acting, singing, and dancing represented by Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. His world-class talents are limitless. I used many hard-edge movements corresponding to his music, and as always, Junsu did wonders” said Jeri Slaughter, choreographer of JYJ’s worldwide album.

Kim Yeong-jun who took photos of Junsu for the record jacket reports: “It was a satisfactory shooting as he showed various emotions through his eyes. Junsu is an intriguing subject that has both a masculine, strong appeal and feminine beauty in the face.”

The music video director also remarked: “this video has been designed to incorporate his tremendous energy and dreamlike, abstract feelings. The perfect harmony between sets and choreography created a fervent and exquisite visual.”

On February 27, SBS TV reported that Yoo Chun never forgets to take care of his fans despite his busy schedule for his new drama series The Rooftop Prince.

Yoo Chun is also promoting JYJ’s documentary film The Day with Jae Joong and Jun Su at movie theaters while shooting the drama series.

On February 25, he even attended a fan signing for a franchise restaurant, for which he’s working as a model with Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee

Receiving the news that one of his fans opened the franchise, he willingly held the singing on the day of its first opening.

He’s only 25 years old but his achievements probably invites jealousy from those who are also chasing the dream of being an artist.

Park Yoochun is in the list of top 5 young celebrities who rake in a hefty income, earning RM31 million (US$10 million) a year, at once becoming an inspiration to many youths who seek  similar glory. Not just enjoying popularity in his own country, Yoochun is adored by Japanese fans as well. The explosion of his popularity allows him to receive between RM90,000 to RM100,000 for every appearance.

This level of comfort wasn’t achieved by Yoochun in the blink of an eye. He started out facing hardships, but he didn’t give in or allow fate to dictate his life. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea on 4 June 1986, his family migrated to Virginia, US when he was 13 years old. “The people around me thought that migrating to the US would change my life. They thought I was lucky. Thinking back to that moment makes me not want to go through it all over again. Our financial situation was tough, and it drove me to work hard,” he said. The harsh beginnings have a massive impact on this handsome youth, who’s fondly called “Micky” and “Yuchun” by his fans.

Nevertheless, everything changed in 2003 when SM Entertainment held auditions in the US and Yoochun was picked in that session. With four other members, he joined TVXQ and enjoyed a popularity so meteoric, they were labelled as Asia’s stars, as well as “Kings of the Hallyu wave”. TVXQ reaped various awards in their own country, and in fact Yoochun played a big part in strengthening the group’s journey.

Their achievements weren’t in Korea alone. TVXQ’s rapid popularity snaked into Japan and a week after their first appearance, they started arranging for various activities in the Land of the Rising Sun. His natural talent for writing also led Yoochun to write the song “Kiss The Baby Sky,” that became the theme song of a morning news program in Japan, and allowing him to earn a lucrative income.

However, the sky wasn’t always clear. In 2009, Yoochun faced a major crisis that created so many possibilities when his career was at its peak. In mid-2009, Yoochun and two other members of TVXQ, Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for an unfair contract. This lawsuit is still ongoing but the courts have allowed them to be active in the entertainment industry. On October 2010, they formed JYJ.

(Despite the troubles,) those worries gradually faded away when he was given the chance to start something new in his career.

He chose to become an actor and through “SungKyunKwan Scandal,” a drama that’s been sold to several countries, the royalties he received amounted to RM20 million. It has also been hailed as one of the most popular television dramas. He received RM951,000 for every episode, and another RM380,000 for overseas sales, at once putting Yoochun as the celebrity whose earnings reached RM63 million.  His Japanese fans also gave a positive response to the drama, allowing Yoochun to receive a certain amount of fees through DVD sales.

Not just successful in acting, Yoochun, who has been crowned as Asia’s Most Popular Artist also sang the theme song for the drama that earned various acknowledgements on online charts.

(With JYJ), he also produced an album that sold over 410,000 copies, besides raking in total sales of over 780,000 copies for several popular singles in Japan. In 2010, over 1.2 million copies of albums sold had indirectly contributed to the handsome youth’s lucrative earnings.

JYJ’s booming popularity made the trio, especially Yoochun, the advertisers’ top choice in South Korea.Throughout 2011, Yoochun acquired individually, lucrative contracts as tea product ambassador for Tio, Nintendo Wii for the launch of the latest edition of Zelda, Black Smith’s pizza chain and the latest, ramen brand Ottogi. Together with JYJ, Yoochun also appeared in the LG Optimus Q2 ad and became spokesperson for clothing brand NII, Penzal Q, retail outlet Lotte Duty Free and cosmetic company, Nature Republic.
